I'm 67 and always enjoyed mowing lawns, even had a business of sorts doing a few lawns a week after delivering papers. Mowed grass for some of my newspaper customers. It's great exercise and so satisfying to do a good job!

Always watch to the end. It’s great you do this. That looks like a Housing Commission house and that they’ve had issues, be it mental health or whatever. This kind of practical help to literally remove the clutter will metaphorically help to remove the clutter as well. If there are children in that house, they could have friends come and use their yard to play which they wouldn’t possibly dream of before. Well done Tim!

Tim, you're a surgeon with a string trimmer. My wife and I just started our lawn service business, and I try to learn from your technique as much as I can.
My master Tim is a pro! What helps is removing your trimmer guard allowing you to let out more string. Then use a string that's not too thick, and the combo of both causes a nice straight disc of spinning wire. Be careful where your fling your debris, and invest in some snake/gator guards for your legs.

Yikes, that backyard!!! Is everyone in the neighborhood using it as a trash heap?? I did watch to the end. Holy moly. It's great that you pick out the actual trash from the grass and don't just put it all together.
The speed of that flail through heavy grass is really and asset. For a "no gas use" solution, the Gardena worked pretty well, though as you noted, they hadn't quite anticipated a heavy thatch or volume condition. They probably could make a variant. When you are doing the equivalent of mowing a hay field, you have volume. In a crisis, is there any nutrient value for horses/cows/sheep with this type of clippings? I'm glad the residents were in the background, helping. That was participation. This home had lost much of its usage, views, design. It was good to see it getting restored and a chance at usefulness. More work ahead. Thank you for your persistence. The flail wouldn't exist if you hadn't been watching for solutions for years. Now that is funny, I did think of painting the lawn but figured it wasn't critical. See what you think when all the basics are in.

Yikes, that backyard!!! Is everyone in the neighborhood using it as a trash heap?? I did watch to the end. Holy moly. It's great that you pick out the actual trash from the grass and don't just put it all together.
The speed of that flail through heavy grass is really and asset. For a "no gas use" solution, the Gardena worked pretty well, though as you noted, they hadn't quite anticipated a heavy thatch or volume condition. They probably could make a variant. When you are doing the equivalent of mowing a hay field, you have volume. In a crisis, is there any nutrient value for horses/cows/sheep with this type of clippings? I'm glad the residents were in the background, helping. That was participation. This home had lost much of its usage, views, design. It was good to see it getting restored and a chance at usefulness. More work ahead. Thank you for your persistence. The flail wouldn't exist if you hadn't been watching for solutions for years. Now that is funny, I did think of painting the lawn but figured it wasn't critical. See what you think when all the basics are in.

I prefer your channel over the other guys because you clean up all the waste. No one else does that.
