When the colors were done it was like Oh but the colors came together Wonderful I guess with colors that don't look like they wouldn't go together turns into something Wonderful ✌❤
You say you think you have too much gold. I think you just you it’s too much beautiful if you can say so it is really beautiful thank you great idea. With love
Fiona that is BEAUTIFUL!!! You did a great job covering that canvas in paint and then creating that beautiful flower with a cool looking green "background"! I look forward to seeing more of these type of flowers! ❤❤❤
Fiona, I love this painting, I do love the green back ground and the beautiful flower in the center. You are amazing and I love your video's. Have a wonderful day.
I love the idea of not having background paint. I’ve done your drop paint version several times now and everyone loves them. Thank you so much for your videos.
I like the green background. It is interesting. Maybe less greens next time. Love the shimmer and lacing on the flower. The red outline on the gold was really cool. Thank you Fiona.💖
I watched this video about 6 hours ago but didn't have time to comment so I just watched again. This flower is gorgeous! I love the design around it, it's Beautiful. I can hear you saying bad things about it, don't do that anymore. It's so pretty. 😸
Fiona, this is just lovely and I really like that the flower has a background which gives it a kind of context. Great idea and think you should try more of these. Think of all the money you will save on mediums for the base coat 😂😂😂. Hoping to see this one in your next live auction. I love it 💕💕💕
Oh, I also wanted to say that it is a great idea using the bowl to help make the first circle. I am going to give that a try - not that there is even the slightest chance that it will work for me - it will still end up squiggly no matter how hard I try :-)
I like the center flower very much , the gold with the reds and the white. The greens seem a little bold for me it over takes the eye and takes away from the beautiful flower. Good experiment Fiona, nothing ventured nothing gained. Lots of love and blessing from Canada.💞💜💙🌼☺🍁
Love it! But I agree with you some black to give definition would be fun to see. I have to go back and find where you explained how you make the pearl white, I think it really has a nice effect and I'd like to try it. Thank you for your continued inspiration!
I love it! It's gorgeous! I loved it when you did the lines to the outside edges before on the pink one ( I think?). I would like to try this with just gold and white lines around the outside with maybe one line of green also right at the edge. It is so beautiful. Thank you Fiona! Hugs!!
Interesting that having no base coat worked just fine. I really like the green background. Maybe not so much of the bright green next time. I love the gold in the flower. For a contrast, what about a deep purple rather than black as you mentioned? I think that it would blend with the reds nicely. Thanks for experimenting and sharing with us 💕💕💕💕
you make it look so easy, and the outcome always seems to come out beautiful. I tried it, and it was too muddy and blurry looking. I think my paint colors were too thin. I will try it again with a thicker consistency. Thanks for showing us your technique.
I do think it looks beautiful Fiona, partly because its different from what you normally do. What if you did some greens just on the corners with white on the sides. I agree with you that the white around the outside is a little too wide. You might try putting a thin ring of your darkest red outside the white to give it a bit of extra contrast. I also really liked the white pistils. Please don't take any of my comments to be negative, I always just think about what can be modified for next time. I definitely think you should do more like this because it turned out wonderful. Thank you for sharing your art with us once again. God bless and have a great day!
I love the flower, those colors are fabulous together in that flower. Now, since you asked for constructive comments, here are my thoughts. That particular green is ok, but I never use that shade of green because it harshly competes for attention. Also the painting might benefit from more contrast...either a much lighter background, or a darker one. Biggest issue is there is nowhere the eye can rest, as we say. All areas are busy, when you prefer to have the viewer focus on the spectacular flower. That's why negative space is so effective. Suggest you try solid background colors, not patterns. Also, don't be afraid to experiment (I'm talking to Fiona, the QUEEN of experimental art) 🙄🤣about using analogous colors or even tertiary ones that you can mix to your satisfaction. Dig out your color wheel and eyeball options you like. Black or white are very dramatic, but you can achieve so much variation with different color backgrounds. As for that flower... It's stunning! Take what you can use from the suggestions, and toss the rest. You are a TREASURE.
Hi Fiona, question...do you mix your paints with anything when you do a reverse dip? I love your results but I can’t seem to get the hang of it...thanks
I love this background but i think you hit it on the head. The greens are fighting your flower. But i like the technique. Do you have a poinsettia? I love them.
I really like it and am glad you can do it on a dry canvas.
I love ALL the colors! Excellent job!
And yes I liked the green background as well!
This flower is absolutely beautiful Fiona ‼️❤️🌹

Fiona there is no such thing as too much gold. You had me worried there for a minute but this is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for more inspiration.
I think this flower, the colors, the effects, all come together to be my favorite of all your paintings.

Seeing this 8 months after you made this beautiful piece, but you’ve come a long way in perfecting your flower technique.

I thought turquoise, pink, and copper might be interesting. Regardless, this is definitely another pleasing canvas.
Yes, I thought the same thing... I will try that too ;)
Beautiful

The greens maybe darker for contrast .Not sure myself .Love from Texas .📹🌺🌷💐🌸🎆🌻🎄😘

I love the flower. Not do crazy about the green. Maybe do greens and white perpendicular to flower so it looks more like leaves. Great experiment
Stupendo!!
Once again, beautiful Could a hair dryer be used instead of a torch?
Omg yesssss sista! YESSSS🔥🔥🔥❤
