Welcome to Phantom Forces Weapon Stereotypes Revamped! Snipers edition. Now get ready for a bunch of TF2 references and funny jokes because this episode is truly a special one!
Now for those who are new then this is a series where I go over stereotypes for a certain weapon class in Phantom Forces. Stereotypes are basically what a person automatically assumes about another person when they first see them. In this case, it depends on the gun that they are using. So for example, if a person is using the M16A3 most people automatically assume that that person is a tryhard and so that's the stereotype for the M16A3.

These stereotypes do NOT apply to everyone. There are reasons for them existing but there are also exceptions. So if I say that a certain gun is used by a toxic tryhard. That doesn't necessarily mean that you yourself are one. But basically, everybody thinks you are one.

I think what people hate the most about bfg users is they go to the cornor if every map and camp there. Meanwhile I use it while running around (like in Call of Duty) and do quick scopes (well, not really because the ads is so slow). I don't even think it's that easy to use when you're actually in the battle and not the corner of the map. Like it takes so long to reload, only has 1 bullet so if you miss you're fucked, if the enemy is far away you still have to jump around (I know secondary exist but I need to reload) just to dodge bullets.
I don't know how people fail to see the difference between a camping bfg user in the corner of the map compared to someone who's running around with a bfg but still kills everyone and can dodge bullets.

2:42 You know I think why the many reasons why so many people in PF really hate the BFG so much is that simply it gave the powers of a god and having it accessible to the common player as all it takes is just saving enough credits and selling a bunch of skins you don't want and you can quite easily get yourself your own personal *50 caliber please don't shoot me I just want to have fun machine*
If the BFG accessibility was more limited than maybe it would have been praised by so many as something only the higher levels are meant to use.

Nah I think the bfg is meant to balance out the huge advantage higher rank players have over lower ranks. Since there is no real mm system that places ppl based off of skill, higher rank ppl can easily 1 shot rank 20s with their trg or m107 while all the rank 20s have remingtons. Furthermore, the bfg has only 1 bullet and a long reload so it allows the enemy to run away if u miss and it also prevents dumping an entire clip of .50cal 1 shot bullets into ur enemy. *cough cough* Hecate and m107 users
@@trollsquad3605 You do make a good point but your also forgetting that the BFG is a sniper rifle, sure compared to other low rank op weapons like the many shotguns low ranks and people with relatively poor aim can 1 tap you with ease but due to the quite short range it forces people to get up close and if your going up in cqc against a skilled or high rank player then the odds are a little even there but for the bfg being a 50 caliber sniper and a relatively easy one to buy or unlock low ranks and other people can easily just sit far behind like 500 studs away or so with both high penetration and can 1 tap you with any part of the body while also doing all of this from a safe long distance away. With that being said I think this is probably one of the main reason why the BFG is so despised as it gives low rank players the capabilities of both range, damage, and penetration as other 50 caliber guns while also being relatively more accessible and easier to get
I dislike the BFG because it's a crutch. It's not even a training wheel crutch, it's just an "Accomodate for the lack of skill and then compensate for the accommodation." crutch.

don’t forget, drop shot no scoping or just no scoping in general with the stock intervention is the most satisfying thing on the planet. you can probably hit cross maps no scoping if you tried.

4:19 had fun with the bfg for a while. Used it as kind of a training wheels type of weapon. Maybe used it too long tho. It was the only weapon I used for a while, getting about 2700 kills on it. Which doesn't sound like much but I'm a rank 80 currently so I haven't really had it that long. Now I just pull it out if some jackass on the enemy team starts using it. Go to sniper nowadays is the intervention

Although I must admit to being more of an svds/k14 player I've been all these stereotypes in one since I'm currently trying for 1000 kills on every gun. Lost my old account where I had all the ar's and smgs done. Either way this was quite entertaining to watch

Rn, poggin with the NTW-20 Anti-Tank Rifle that you can't aim unless you're crouching. Despite being slow as shit, the thing punches through multiple solid covers like tissues. Hell, I tested the Anti-Tank part of the gun and wouldn't you know it, even if someone hides DIRECTLY BEHIND A DAMN TANK, THE GUN STILL ONE SHOTS THEM (with the 20x140 single bullet boomstick)

I'm one of the few players who mains the Hecate because it sounds cool. No really, put a loudener on it and you'll understand why. There's also the fact of that I suck with sniper rifles and it's the only bolt action I can use and do decent with.
I use the Hecate as my main sniper because it just looked good to me, with the supplementary factors of new Vegas and halo of all things because it just looks like an older version of the sniper
Meanwhile there's me with the Remington 700, 2 green lasers, no scoping everyone

Hecate II was my go to sniper for “extreme” long range I.e. mirage crossmapping. Regardless of the damage, I learned to use the muzzle velocity to headshot every time. I would often get a vote kick called, so when that happened I would switch to the intervention because it is my child and also is really good for beginners to rank 100+

I main the Steyr Scout, I have been getting somewhat good at it but I still need to practice with it to reach god level skills. I have a lot of fun using the Steyr Scout even though it can be challenging at times (the rewards far outweigh the difficulties along the way though) =P
