I 100% agree with everything Mick Lynch says and would love it for him to be prime minister.

It's fantastic, isn't it? Because of the importance of the rail network they have to give airtime to Mick Lynch. But the usual tactics they try against people like him don't work: he knows how to calmly just give the facts of the situation, showing that the people "interviewing" him (in actuality, trying to undermine him) meet someone that simply responds calmly to their questions with facts and it leaves them unable to attack him. Or rather their usual methods don't work. He just takes his time, responds directly to the points they attempt to make (which in reality are simply attacks on the working class). In actuality, by doing this, he's not just doing a fantastic job for his members, but all workers in the public sector. And a fantastic critique of the Labour Party thrown in for good measure. Brilliant stuff.

I admire Mikes focus. He doesn't get distracted by his oponents, he is able stick to and follow his chain of logical thoughts and defence them clearly so even basic observer can clearly understand. so the government say what the railway companies will do with regards to pay and conditions, they pay billions in to prop the companies up and keep them running, but shareholders, a lot of whom are foreign, take £500M-£1B out in dividends...... Don't even think about the old marshalling yards, trackside houses, hotels and property that the Government handed over to these companies. Portsmouth Fratton Road depot had acres of city centre land that was handed over and housing and commercial property developers snapped up. That windfall all went over to shareholders and the profit shown as proof that the companies being privatised was the way to go. That was our land and the politicians sold us down the river.
