    I enjoyed crocheting this pattern. It's a project that requires mindful attention if one is feeling challenged to learn something new bc it is a beautiful wrap stitch pattern. It's worth the time and effort in my opinion. Just puttin' it out there*

    My new favorite project!! One thing that may help people wanting to alter the length. (I wanted to make mine more like a choker). To get it to hang evenly you need a multiple of two plus one. Multiples of 3 only work when they can be divided by two then add one extra. Thanks for this beautiful project.

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Nora B a multiple of 2 plus one what? The pattern requires 3 foundation ovals per repeat of the lace stitch pattern.

    • @pipinhouser
      @pipinhouser 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The clusters of 3. For example if you did 18 ovals (3 ovals x 6 repeats) you won't get a true middle fan to do your increase. You need to add one set of three ovals in the foundation to get a true middle one for the increase.

    Estimada Kristin sus proyectos son muy originales y modernos, y he comprado en su tienda varios rollos de la lana para este proyecto, sin embargo; no soy buena siguiendo los patrones escritos. Tengo una consulta , cuantas conchas de aumento hay en el centro y cuantas quedan a cada lado..., esto con el fin de poder revisar mi avance y verificar si lo estoy haciendo bien. Gracias y saludos desde Costa Rica!!

      Thank you! this is an old video and I am not able to edit it to add the information you want added to the video. But if you wanted to try to read along with the pattern, please click on the link in the video description for the information you want is in the written pattern.

      @@KristinOmdahl , I understand your point, but I only want to know how many shells are on each side of the center. And how many are those of increase 3 or 4?
      Can you take a picture of the scarf extended, so I can see and count them better? Thank you

      @@KristinOmdahl ya estoy estudiando bien el estudio y la foto del Necklace Scarf, son nueve shells a cada lado del centro, voy a terminar de ver todo y lo voy a intentar, creo ya estoy entendiendo mejor!, Muchas gracias

    Very beautiful :) I would love to order supplies for this project, however, I am a plus size woman (3x) and wonder what adjustments I would need to make the project larger to fit me. Thanks for your help.

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I answered this questions but don't see it here. Did you get a reply from me? I asked you how you would like a scarf sized larger for yourself. Width wide or length wise? Did you see the dimensions on the free pattern page (link in video description). Knowing what you would like different from the sample would help me a lot :)

    this pattern tutorial/written pattern needs syncing up but I know your life is forever forward so I'm just venting at the inconsistencies and super fine yarn is not my bailiwick and looks thicker in this video and in some finished items by others on your FB page. Hoping to sell this fine yarn on line somewhere. ick!

    I'm not seeing the pattern matching this tutorial. The foundation ovals are OK but Row 1 doesn't match. It does look easy but I need to see matching tutorial with the pattern.

    Please slow down. I'd love to make one of your patterns but you go so crazy fast. Very pretty though.

      Thank you for your feedback. I usually show the stitches slowly in the beginning as I introduce a new stitch, and then speed up to show the visual (conceptual) components to supplement the free patterns on my website. Here is the link to the free pattern plus charts: www.kristinomdahl.com/whats-new/2017/2/22/caribbean-turquoise-necklace-scarf-free-crochet-pattern
      I really appreciate your feedback. Are you suggesting that every stitch be slow for the entire video? I would love to know more.

    • @texasvlog1600
      @texasvlog1600 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kristin Omdahl I think it would be less intimidating for a beginner if you went slow the entire time. Because like you say in the video this is a beginner project. Just my suggestion.

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your perspective. Great point! It will make it a lengthy video, though. That is not an issue, right?

    • @texasvlog1600
      @texasvlog1600 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kristin Omdahl not at all. I'm watching your tutorial to learn how to do it. Your work is so beautiful I think more people would follow and make your patterns if they were a bit slower. plus you'd sell more yarn...lol

    • @KristinOmdahl

      I listened to your suggestions and created a new, 'slowed down for beginners' video. Please let me know what you think! th-cam.com/video/csC-pWIJvjA/w-d-xo.html
