Crazy we are discussing a 3000£ build with a 105. Like 8 years ago 105 was the rookie groupset and you would rather go for the ultegra to have a decent groupset. Crazy how the prices went up and also how 105 increased in quality

@@matkrek105 is signicantly better than it was a decade ago. It’s basically the “all you need” groupset, unless you’re very competitive/ trying to be a “real” racer. My first road bike had Ultegra. Wouldn’t bother going past 105/rival now.

Buy used Carbon 105 mech build, swap the wheelset with Hunt 44UD, RideNow TPU tubes, GP5k clinchers, dura ace cassette. You would most likely hit around 16lbs/7.26kg and shifts just like dura ace.

    • @stanislavkindiakov6334

Agree with all except Dura Ace casette, it‘s a waste, take 105 and your build be just +60 gram

@@koreydeese6899 rotational weight does matter. My Hunt 44UD with 28mm GP5k clinchers and 22g tubes weigh, all in as a wheelset system, lighter and feel more responsive than my 353 NSW with S TR and 25ml Silca sealant. Despite the NSW coming in at 100g lighter than 44UD. Tubeless is heavier and so is sealant. On top of that extra weight, it’s located at the outermost part of the wheel which makes things more sluggish than they should be. Clinchers for the win especially considering similar rolling resistance.

I think I want to upgrade my Cannondale CAAD8 , it’s not new, it’s aluminium and it weighs 12kg’ish, however I have fond memories on it, I’ve looked after it, it still looks new, going super-fast or racing is not my thing, but upgrading from SORA to 105, adding some carbon wheels , maybe carbon forks would be good. The new carbon Cannondale Synapse has built in lights and radar which I really don’t want.

This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

Many Chinese companies are producing top quality bikes and bike parts for much less than the name brands, and they're probably built in the same factories or by the same people.
