- As you know I LOVE to open up boxes that are on the shelves of thrift stores, because you never know what you're going to find inside. I ALMOST missed this one... so I'm REALLY glad I went around the store a second time! WOWWWW... its AMAAAZING! Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
I'm back home in Las Vegas after our whirlwind trip to Huntington Beach in Southern Calfornia and I'm at one of my favorite Thrift Stores... Dog Junkies! They were restocking and I couldn't believe what was inside the little blue box I missed on my first go round of the store.... the colors, the polish, it was HUGE!!!! I have a few precious stones in different sizes and colors, but I've never found one like this! THRIFT WITH ME to find out exactly what it is!

I love the pheasants. I wish I could. Dealing with my husband's cancer. You are so fun to watch. I have live parrots and birds so those pheasants would be great for my collection. I love the elephant also, his ears

That curio is the perfect size. I have a large one and to move it is like pushing an elephant! Side note: I love the southwest tiles so very much! I resell them so that I'm not tempted to try to incorporate them into my English cottage type interior. Really not a good look! LOL Just checked Worthpoint. Those pheasants are worth A LOT of money. Talking around 5-600.

Great finds Tiffany. If you look closely at the clouds in the tile with the horse, as well as the rider, you can see buffalo.

That opal agate is the bomb! When thrifting I always keep an eye out for precious metals, precious stones, and fossils. Found a large piece of black fossilized wood marked as "shiney black rock" for 5 bucks when thrifting in St. Louis last November. I also keep looking for vintage ivory pieces. No matter the size I pick up pieces when I find it.
The cabinet is gorgeous! The treasures you found are also fantastic! Of course my favorite is always seeing the kitties and Bear... Thank you for sharing this info about the Dog Junkies Thrift shop! Definitely putting this on my "bucket-list" next time Vegas calls!

That is the second time you have not come home with all your items, from that shop. It's kinda like...A guaranteed way for you to return and have the opportunity to purchase more items. My kids use to do that at Grandma's house. So we'd need to go back over sooner. Done with love:) Cathleen

The candle holder with sniffer is wonderful and beautifully painted.
Single salt shakers are also nice to put baking soda in, and in the fridge.
My first job was at Sattlers Dept. Store, and they had a department they called Notions. There was a display of the most beautiful hat pins. I never had a single customer while working in that department, and I wondered "who wants a hat pin nowadays" (1973!). But they were gorgeous. That opal is HUGE and gorgeous! I think you got a great deal on it, it has to be worth much more.
The cabinet looks great in your home! The pheasants both appear to be male. Female pheasants are usually brown and grey.

Yes! The prices are high!!
The thrift stores are a business too with the accompanying expenses so they have to raise their prices accordingly. They're not in business specially for resellers but for people who want things for themselves. ..
I really like it when you comment on why you are not buy something like you did with the heavy ashtray. I find your knowledge on why you buy or don't buy is very helpful to me who is just getting started reselling valuable.

I think that bowl reminds you of Viking because it's New Martinsville - they did that spear shape design in pieces. Viking is what they became.

BUT...one of the Tiles you purchased, Am. Indians, the one without a tag I believe is an Amado Pena Jr....He paints Mexican & Am. Indian art. He does beautiful work. I love that pottery I would use it for makeup
It is too bad you did not get the big Indian village tile to go with the horse and Indian women. It would have made a stuning wall set. Though heavy, they would have been a lovely compliment. I enjoy your videos and Danni's. Your Goodwills are so neat and tidy. Ours is organized in the clothes, but the hardgoods are a jumble...yarn in with the hangers! Keep shopping - you are keeping me out of the thrift stores!
That large, old, yellow, plastic bowl - seen near the video beginning - I have one too and it is my husband’s favourite popcorn bowl. It is the most well used large bowl in the house. I had to laugh when I saw it because ours is so old and raggety I never thought I’d see another, especially half way around the world. Nice products just a shame they are so overly expensive. A lot of those items I saw in Danni’s live sale. Obviously they did not sell and have been sitting there till you came along. They need to be more reasonable in their pricing. Then they might get a more profitable turnover in stock.

Did you see the cute red metal chicken design napkin holder at 26:43? Farmhouse/cottage core designs are popular now. That curio cabinet fits perfectly where you placed it. Just stunning. 💕

I came here to say I think it could be RC Gorman. The one I found had a mama holding a baby so I put it in my booth for Mothers Day and it sold fast. The one in the video looks very very similar.

Wow Tiffany, what a wonderful haul. Loving that little elephant. A few days ago I went to my local animal welfare charity shop to buy up some things to re-sell on a very limited budget. I found their items to be more expensive than other shops but splashed out almost €100 ($107) and left my 'haul' in it's bag on the kitchen table. Had to go back out for a while and when I returned I found almost all of my treasures in smithereens on the kitchen floor where my dog, Toby, had somehow managed to pull the bag down from the table. I was so disappointed and didn't speak to him for a full five minutes 😂. It seems it is not my destiny to 'flip for a profit' but I can do it vicariously through you so it's still fine. I'm thrilled that you were able to secure the opal, Tiffany! I saw it on Danni's video the other day, and it's truly a special piece, and I'm so happy that it was there when you went to the shop. The rest of the haul was great, too. Best not keep the opal too close to your cabinet, lest it reside on its stand and not be converted to a sale, but one could not blame you for placing that in your curio cabinet.

I have completely stopped shopping at Goodwill because their prices are much too high now. Some Thrift stores are have also raised their prices making it hard to resell.
