- Nihon Bussan Co., Ltd. (日本物産株式会社 Nihon Bussan Kabushikigaisha) was a Japanese video game manufacturer. The main video game brand of the company was Nichibutsu. Nichibutsu's popularity peaked in 1980 when the company announced and launched Moon Cresta and Crazy Climber.

Thank you so much for this video. When I was 4 or 5, my father used to take me to this local donut shop, and there were always video game machines in there. For the last 20+ years, I have been trying to remember the obscure cabinet they had, and thanks to you and this video, I now know it was Frisky Tom! That had been haunting my memories for over 20 years, thank you for helping me gain closure to an open memory 🙏

My Favorite Nichibutsu Arcade was Moon Cresta, Kid No Hore Hore Daisakusen (Creatermaze), Terra Force and 2 of my all-time favorite Terra Cresta and Moon Shuttle

I've never heard of a lot of these games. I wonder if the majority of Nichibutsu's output was released only in Japan.

It's sad that a lot of these games seems so derivitive and generic. I have a compilation for the Super Famicom with 3 of their titles which I now realise were probably their most original releases.
Beats most of Taito's output. Nichi copied a lot of ideas, but had the talent to make them work.

Basically, they take a still image and with each scan line, they draw the picture more and more skewed. The result is simulated parallax.
