I believe it was a 38L Osprey pack I was looking at for about $260.00 + tax. I just bought a 30L daypack from Target for $36.00 I will make it work! Fits me perfectly. This hike has ultra light all over it! Stink out a few Bison for 3 days, big deal. $20.00 Trekking poles from Target are hanging in there so far. $3.50 tarp from Harbor Freight Tits up! Baby. It's light and durable enough. Micro burner and small canister, I'm pretty well set up. Just need to get down quilt or poncho liner something light weight and compressible. Nothing extraneous.
Hey Dirk.... just saw this message. Yeah its an Osprey 35L... this was my first backpacking trip so it was a huge learning experience. I def. learned I didn't need half this stuff haha.
If all that works for you then cool but man that's a lot for 4 days. When you said you were hoping to keep your pack weight under 40 pounds I about spit out my coffee. I'm doing this trail in early October and I'm taking my 30L shooting for 15 - 20 pounds at most.
Will Mcdonald yeah but this was my first backpacking trip ever so it was more of a learning experience. I learned that I can carry this amount, but I did not need half the stuff I took. Great trip though. Enjoy the trip 😁
Enjoy!!!
Justice4All1983 thanks 😉
