U should try putting your mod podge in a condiments bottle and then u can just squirt it directly on your tumbler as u go and spread it with the brush the just flip the condiments cap on when done an that way each time u don't have to pour it on anything an so it leads to less waste . i love it its a game changer.
Tip: If you buy the firm foam squares used to make cushions (Amazon) ~ you can cut your tumbler shape out in middle ~ makes a great tumbler rest for doing your work!!
Hi i just want to say thank you for this tutorial, i love it and its amazing. I was able to do my first fabric cup by watching this tutorial while i was doing the cup.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! By far, this was the easiest one to follow. If one wanted to add a bit of pizazz, would it be alright to add a shimmer glitter to the epoxy?
Great video. My question is I have some beautiful vinyl for embroidery. It is for applique so there is no sticky on the back. Do you see a problem with using this in place of cotton and can I use reposition spray and then epoxy? Thank you I love all your tutorials.
Thank you so much for your videos! I have learned so much from you! Question on the fabric tumblers....how do you keep the epoxy from seeping into the fabric? I have one that has spots all over the top, around the rim, where it's obviously soaked through, after about 8 layers of mod podge.
Thank you so much!! And make sure when you apply your epoxy, your mod podge is completely dry. Also, when you apply your fabric to the mod podge, press down the fabric all the way around the tumbler. Giving it an even stick. Last trick, epoxy your tumbler twice. This may help as well.
I just put fabric on a tumbler for the first time. All was going well until I epoxied it. I have large patches of dark; can you tell me what I did wrong? Thank you|!
How. That sounds cute! I only wonder how the epoxy will take to it. If the material will drown in the epoxy so you may have to use a lot of extra epoxy. But worth a try!
Thanks for an awesome video, as always! Question: I know you did several layers of epoxy at the seam but did you do the same amount of layers over the entire cup?
@@MissKissKreations So you dont do multiple layers of MP over the entire cup? How do you prevent the epoxy from causing the oil slick look? I want to try it but dont want to mess up my cup.
@@MissKissKreations did you epoxy all the way up to the rim or just go to the fabric line? It was hard to see. I wasn't sure if you had to use the FDA food epoxy on this or not.
Great video. I tried this with 100% cotton. I guess i am doing something wrong 😕. Please help. I used a gray fabric, once complete, you can see dark areas and light, the epoxy feels rough over the fabric. Wish i could send pictures
My cup looked absolutely beautiful, until I put epoxy on it. It was bright and beautiful before applying epoxy. Can anyone tell me why my fabric looked dull in areas? I wanted vibrant! The fabric is cotton. 😩
ALL double walled stainless steel tumblers are supposed to be hand wash only. Putting them in the dishwasher can damage the seal that makes them insulated.
I got a better-qualty metal cup edging tool with a handle and a removable level line drawing attachment for only $17 with free 2-day shipping. For your seller to charge an extra $5 to pick a color is ridiculous. PLUS, they now have their HUGE advertisement on the thing AND they charge $8.80 for shipping. I could get 2 better ones for less than half the price. Crafting is already so expensive, y'all.
Angela M And neither is coen. (Not sure how to spell Cotten without the t’s.)Cotten has two ‘t’s’ in it. Otherwise fabulous video and explanations and great camera work.

Thanks for the video. The cutting tool looks super helpful. I'll be buying one. I like that you explain things clearly and don't go too fast. 😊
Another excellent video. I appreciate you giving us dry times too.
Thank you so much!

Love all of your tutorials. You explain everything so clearly. Thank you for making everything look so easy
Thank you so much! I’m so glad I can help!
I live near the fabric district in Los Angeles. What a great idea.
I’m ready to try just got my fabrics and waiting on the cutting tool. You made it looks so easy
I really enjoyed this video of the tie dyed tumbler. It was very informing. Ty and keep up the good work!!!
So glad i found your TH-cam channel ❤ Thank you..
I made one a couple weeks ago with that IDENTICAL owl print!! Super cute!
Love this, very helpful!
Love this tutorial friend!❤️
Love the video. Beautiful turn out of the tumbler.

My pleasure!
This is a very through explanation and a job well done.

i would say you could!
could you use spray adhesive to attach the fabric instead of mod podge?
Thanks for the great tips

what if you dont have a cutting tool? what can you use instead?

@@tcamburn83 I seen on another video to coat with mod podge 3 times pretty thick each time and completely dry each time and final before moving on.
Awesome! Going to try this! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like my style of tumbler!! 😉🌈🌈
I just put fabric on a tumbler for the first time. All was going well until I epoxied it. I have large patches of dark; can you tell me what I did wrong? Thank you|!
Maybe not enough epoxy on the tumbler.
Have you ever used htv on fabric and then used it for tumbler? I wasn't sure if this would work or not. Thought I'd ask
Amanda Wordelman I have and yes it worked well
Use removable vinyl abd painters tape to transfer
Why are there like circles on my cloth after I put my epoxy on ? Like it is not covered but it look good when I first do it ?
Those are fish eyes. Epoxy repealing from the tumbler. Make sure you prep your tumbler properly before designing it
😎 ~ neat cup edging tool ~ I HAVE TO GO GET ONE!!
Do you spin your tumbler for 12 hrs...nice vid
can uu use fabric leather to or with glitter?
Hi, wondering if a felt like material could be used? Found a gorgeous material, but it's for bow making.
How. That sounds cute! I only wonder how the epoxy will take to it. If the material will drown in the epoxy so you may have to use a lot of extra epoxy. But worth a try!
If you use a sublimation tumbler do you need to sand it first?
I do not use sublimation tumblers. I don't want to give you the incorrect information. I am sorry.
Ok thank you
Where did you find that reversable tie dye/shimmer scale fabric please???
Francesca Depp Francesca you can get a lot of pretty fabrics from Amazon!!

One on the seam

I love it😍
can you add fabric to the bottom of the tumbler
Hi - I just did my first two and was wondering if i can add HTV before doing the epoxy?
Yes
How did you cut the seam and not cut through the 1st layer of fabric?
Don’t apply too much pressure. Just enough to cut through one layer. This may take some practice at first. 😊
How do I fix it I just made one for my 1st time and I screwed it up I put my 1st thing a epoxy on it
Have you ever used spray adhesive instead of Mod Podge?
For this method no. But you can give it a try! 😊
How come you didn’t remove the under layering piece after making seam? Doesn’t it show through
I just leave it there. You can remove it and it won’t be wrong. It doesn’t show through
Very cool
Where do we get the cup trimmer?
The link is posted in my description below
There’s not a description that I can find. I may be looking in the wrong place.
ALISON CARTER at the top (by the title of the video) click the upside down triangle
What kind of fabric do you use?
since you didn't tape off the stainless steel parts at top and bottom, how did you keep the epoxy from marring those parts?
I epoxy the entire tumbler. Then clean the rim and inside up at the end :)
@@MissKissKreations did you epoxy all the way up to the rim or just go to the fabric line? It was hard to see. I wasn't sure if you had to use the FDA food epoxy on this or not.

Where can I find the donut tumblr 😻
Can u used u plastic tablecloth
This would have to be very thin and you would have to use a lot of epoxy.
Hi, can the 100% cotton be stretchable? Thats all I can seeing the stores. The fabric says 100% cotton but its stretchy. I wasn't sure .. plss help
Sure
a rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat will give a straight cut on the fabric--
You only do epoxy once?
Love it
How many coats of expoxy did you use?
Two coats

@@tarinamclamb9704 I found if the fabric is too light you get the splotches from the epoxy soaking the fabric. Nothing you can do to change that.

Just 1 coat of epoxy?
If you feel you need more than one coat then you can add another coat ☺️
Where can someone get the cup cutter? Also you put the epoxy over the steel edge on top and bottom too right?
Please take a look in my description for the link. And yes, I epoxied over the entire tumbler.

Be better off cutting seam area with a pair of scissors.
If that works easier for you then that’s great! 😊
Why no Closed Captioning?

Please learn how to speak decent English. The “T” in the word “cotton” is NOT silent!
