    I'm going to give the Crystal Lac a try. Also, in Silhouette you can go to the replicate panel and click fill sheet. That is easier than copy and pasting multiple strips. Thanks for your very thorough tutorials.

    I want to refinish an old electric guitar face in fabric with glitter on the sides. Yes, I really do. Thank you for sharing the information.

    Really pretty!! I can't seem to get on board with Brite Tone. 10 coats is 40+ hours... I do love all your videos and your work.

      I mean to be fair, 10 coats is about 5 minutes of your time 😊

      @@AlisonCrafts true enough but it is still not ready for 40 hours. I do love all your work, so many ideas and so inspiring.

      @@AlisonCrafts Me again! So after much thought I decided to try Brite Tone. I am working on my first tumbler with it and it is quick and easy. I am not longer weighing the time but weighing what I (not looking to argue with anyone) perceive to be the risk factor compared to epoxy. It is so easy to use and I get the time issue. Not much different than 3 coats of epoxy. I am off to look for your videos that talk more about it. Thank you.

    ?s Can one use Mod Podge on to tumbler fabric ; 2X Rustleium clear Matt 3 coats then Bright tone?
    What exactly occurs when Bright tone is in contact w/ Mod Podge?

      Make sure you wear a ventilator and cover your skin. Epoxy doesn't have a smell but the fumes are very toxic.

    Hi Allison. How do I keep the glitter from getting on my fabric? I give the tumbler a soft brush but still get the glitter.

    If I sublimate my tumbler a solid color can I apply the fabric to the sublimated tumbler with the glitter glue without having to sand it?

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you really need to prep it. I have used clear spray paint over the sublimation and then gone in with crystalac and it worked well!

    How long did you let the glitter glue dry before you cut the fabric. From top to bottom. I can’t perfect this step. I love fabric cups but hate this step.

    @shavonwalker2550 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I need to know... Can you use Crystalac instead of glitter glue to coat your tumbler initially? Are you basically sanding each new material as you add and coat it (glitter, vinyl, etc)? The user guide for Crystalac says you can reapply it as soon as two hours. Why four here?

    Alison, I am new to sublimation and I have messed up several tumblers, I wanted to know if I could heat the images off the tumbler and then use fabric & glitter & vinyl over them using the epoxy method. Would you be willing to do a step by step video and try it for me. I would make a video myself but I don't know how to do these kind of videos.

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes or you can just sand it down and use it like you would a normal tumbler!

    I'm been dying to try my first one, so this video came out just in time! My only thing is I can't figure out what I want to do with the top & the bottom (where I trim off the fabric). I'm also thinking about how much I want to trim off the top & the bottom ( with the cup edging tool). Also, could you put Glitter Glue over the vinyl so it doesn't lift? I've had vinyl lift in the past and I found a tip where you can use GG to not get it to lift.
