12+ Years Old Laptop With SSD VS New Laptop (Considered New) With HDD Quick Test

Disclaimer:
1. I didn't test in every aspect in this comparison video. I just want to make it quick to show the bottleneck problem.
2. Yes, i only use few program to test the launch speed, like MS Office and a browser.
3. The Lenovo Thinkpad is not really new, but it has far higher spec than the old one.
The conclusion is that the two laptops have speeds that are not much different for light tasks. The thinkpad will be faster for heavy tasks such as rendering video exports that require CPU work. Although Old Laptops use SSD, the SSD cannot reach it's full speed because this old laptop do not yet support SATA 3 6Gbps. The old laptop speed with SSD will increase considerably, so upgrading storage on your old laptop is a good decision if you don't want to buy a new laptop.
