Yes, it is FINALLY out, this was the big one. BUT... I will continue making sakuga videos, maybe even make my way over the big three at some point. Next week, though, JJK S2!
thanks for putting this all together; the episode numbers are super useful! MAPPA and Imai outdid themselves for the finale, reaching the same levels Wit did.
The scene where Reiner transforms after saying he's sick and tired of walls should've been included, the transition of his human body being swallowed by his titan form which then turns into it's 3d model is slick.
It was on the list of cuts that almost made the video but not quite, for other big shows going forward I might run polls on them or something like that.
@@Smickey_YT It should have definitely made the cut man, I'm not mad but I just seriously believe that it belongs in there because not only is the animation and transition fluid, but if you have a REALLY keen eye you can also see that Reiner's armor slowly form on his titan's face as it transitions into the cgi model and then finally capping it off with an impactful smack. (I myself didn't realize it until recently, so I would want more people to realize this amazing detail put in by the animators.)
Everyone can have their preferences, I certainly have mine, but there was no “failure” or lack of “justice” from MAPPA. This was always WIT’s first baby, their passion project, and MAPPA picked up the slack when WIT could no longer handle the demand. Both studios made products other mangas could only dream of.
Why this video has so few views when it's the best compilation? And just personal preference, I would've liked if all the songs used were from the anime's ost but I understand that due to copyright issues it wasn't done
Thanks for the compliment, and yes, it’s mostly for copyright reasons, but I like adding a few in here and there. The last two in this vid were from the AOT OST.
Mappa was the best decision for Aot S4. The animations you’re talking about are made by a freelancer called Arifumi Imai which is the same animator of 23:20 lmao
@@ipoop4359 Yeah there is one good sequence of animation in the 3 seasons mappa produced and it was credited to the guy who made all the odm gear scenes memorable in the seasons produced by Wit. They brought back Arifumi Imai for the last episode only and it shows, wonder what the correlation there is.
@@scr3verrrb70 It's not like Imai works alone, and it's not like he animated the anime by himself, there were tons of talented people at Wit in general. You also have to take into account Tetsuro Araki, very well known director in the anime space, who worked on many legendary anime and is also responsible for aot's first three seasons but not for any of the Mappa seasons. I know it's impossible to cope with the fact that one studio did it better than the other for whatever reason, but the seasons produced by Wit are far superior than the ones produced by Mappa. The quality drop is comparable if not worse than the quality drop in OPM from season 1 to season 2, it is what it is.

23:22 was 100% the best sequence in AOT idc what ANYONE says. Levi x Mikasa x Arifumi Imai is the best combination ever
I would say the only thing that beats it is levi vs kenny but its still amazing
It's not my favourite but it's in top 3
damn it's crazy how the odm gear movement was so ahead of its time for 2013 like that first scene with the rain was so fire
I agree with you there friend

Yeah the quality gap between the start and end of MAPPA is ridiculous. The finale has some all-timer action.

Amazing video! Great job putting this all together
Thank you! Stick around for other big shows.
i like seeing the animation fully evolve modernly
When i see this video i really wonder how some people think Mappa didn't do justice to Snk, it's absolutely not ridiculous beside of Wit

Acho interessante o fato das cenas Sakugas de AOT não deformarem tanto os personagens como em Naruto, One piece ou JJK

Saigo no kyojin it's the 9th opening
Animation was best in season 1.
Dude come on you could have added much more cuts from the final season. Also you couldn't even find blu ray quality?
Why were there scenes not fully played out
Sometimes the full scenes had non-Sakuga moments, so I cut those parts out.
The drop in quality from Wit to Mappa is so tragic

Hay algo de trampa en ti recopilación, el termino "sakuga " se usa oara secuecias en 2D e invluste escenas donde MAPPA uso CGI
the drop in quality from wit to mappa needs to be studied
