I was the one who reskinned James to be covered in ashes, as well as Gordon and Henry's sick faces. But AugustinAntonio62 made Donald and Douglas' eyes shut face, and he gave me permission to use it. But no, the other engines wouldn't get sick from the contaminated troughs because only Gordon and Henry's tenders would've been fitted with scoops. They pull express trains (including goods), so it's crucial for them to not have to keep stopping for water.

Where the Warmington on Sea Platoon of the Home Guard had a very unexpected bath, as did the Vicar, the Air Warden, The Verger and the Town Mayor and Council. When Their Majestys the King and the Late Queen Mother was on the Royal Train towards Dover.
That is very clever to use water trough and that incident with trains being splashed up by water for a Thomas story. I think I watched TOT video on troughs.

Actually, Water Troughs or Track Pans as we called it in the United States, were commonly used on the New York Central and the Pennsylvania Railroad.
