Nora is well rounded and pays homage to her roots, skating drainage ditches, bowls, DIY spots, vert ramps etc...

Nora smacked me right in the childhood with her recollection of that Rocket Power episode. I remember like that and two other moments from that show. “THAT’S THE SPIRIT!”

Nora has the best attitude in skateboarding. She inspired me to get back into it, her Seance part always gets me pumped to skate especially when she slams and smiles through it. She rips and is so funny and always looks like she’s having fun which is what I look up to in a skateboarder

Then when a female called out a trans female skater for winning a female contest, she laid into the other woman and told her she needs to change her attitude and rethink being in skating. She went the total different direction rather than being consistent and is instead putting women down for having a disadvantage against biological men in a woman’s contest.

Definitely one of the better episodes, it's right up there with the Lil Wayne and MikeMo episode for me. Glad to see the skateboarding industry grow and become more welcoming of girl skaters. Maybe this way more professionals will get to enjoy longer careers in the skate industry.
I grew up Skating all my life age 8 until 30ish, set it aside until 6 months ago and I am 41. Tricks are coming back fast. So I went in Zummies, which was only mail order when I left skating I think, and got a board I thought would work. I was embarrassed to buy a board from the mall, because we didn't do that ever. It was all LSS or you're a poser. They didn't have any size 58 bones wheels, but I loved this 1 board shape. I had no idea which company it was. I bought a complete and then drove to the old shop that I worked and skated for last. Skate Escape ATL GA. I traded to smaller wheels and bought a few things to support them as we caught up. Anyways I finally learned from this pod cast that my board is a welcome board. Now I know what to get when this one is done. So I am chronicling my progress back to to tricks I used to do, which my old sponsor warned me against. I joke with the other old dudes at the park, The ask how long I have been skating because I am pretty good, and I say 5 weeks... Finally this is my band page. I am a skate punk. Chuck Treece and Ray Barbee told me a black man can skate too. Ban this gave me a music career and a brief skate career. I am soooooo impressed that girls are coming up and skating more. No more "Betties" just wanting to be around, but serious women doing it. I predicted in 98, I think watching the misogyny in "Kids", that females will eventually be stronger skaters than the boys. My crew all said hell no, they might be tech skaters, but never "Jamie Thomas" go big skaters. But I now see some ladies mainly park, going pretty big. Nine is great. We simply didn't have this as kids. My first VHS rentals from were Savannah Slamma 1 and 2. Did two kids Sean Stockton, ever make it out there. I saw a mag shot 1 day, but 1 mag shot is hardly making it. he skated for Atl Torque/ Stratosphere, a guy named Thomas Taylor owned the shop?

It's true. My brother works for the Olympic committee and worked the Polo booth, suiting up the athletes before Rio. Nike and Polo are the main clothing sponsors. So much Polo, bro. Also, Jerry Hsu would be amazing! For the show, not necessarily the Olympics.
The 9 club is so awesome. One small request from a fan. Try getting them to talk about process. Nora got into it a bit, but it would be cool to see how different pros go about linking up with a filmer, getting to a spot, filming the trick, and then their role in making their parts. For example, a Bobby Puleoesk pro's process would be different then a Trevor Colden, so I think delving into that spectrum would be pretty helpful for those of us that want to really hone in on the distinctions that make our favorite people great in order to inform the way we operate in our cities. He’s been locked up for a while & I think it’s widely known among pro skaters but the nine club either didn’t know the story or chose not to challenge any of the details. Basically he told Gator’s version of the story to make his friend look less bad & then acted like he had no idea once the backlash came in. So Nora is mad that they “let” him tell a disrespectful lie. They removed that section from their interview & apologized

I totally resonate with the survival instincts tat Nora talked about. Before puberty I could do a 5 stair and land tons of kickflips... but after that I was never the same. There's like this switch that flips and it mentally blocks you from trying dangerous and gnarly stuff. Not sure why people don't talk about this more
More New Englanders! Its refreshing to hear someone with that kinda (almost invisible) New England/East Coast attitude and need to discuss things.
