Love this movie, love the slow burn, love the final scene.
Brian Blessed is gorgeous, both in his 'weaponized silliness" persona and in, well, the other one.
And watching Christopher Lambert being hoodwinked by absolutely everybody and their granny is pure fun.
A really good film. Much better than I was expecting.
Not even in real life encounter,it requires one's courage to watch this single movie!!!
Really enjoyed this movie, a slow burner but the viewer could always feel it was worth waiting for the end.

I think a lot of countries have. I had an interesting moment once in a language class where people from various nations did a short representation of their nations history, and most of it followed the pattern of "well, for a long time were under the thumb of XY , but then there finally was a succesful revolution that liberated us, and a few years later we were busy becoming the overlords of some other country/nation/people."

excellent movie though.. there needs to be a movie, of europe, 12th century, ish.. when knights were sent out to slay '' dragons'',. dinosaurs,. documented in french history,, but dont tell any one, it upsets history..

I must’ve watched something entirely different to the others as I thought it was a terrible movie. I was encouraged by Brian Blessed being in it, although his character was one of the worst. It was like a bad school pantomime.
I love TV historical dramas so don’t have a problem with low budget movies, but this was low level acting. The main actor couldn’t act with any change of emotion or reaction. His face didn’t move during the whole film.
The story was irrelevant due to the bad acting and I couldn’t wait to the end.
