NYC is Creating Homeless People... On Purpose

- NYC is so expensive, a new report shows that 78,000 have left the city in the past year, and that half of families rely on assistance programs to make it. This is very sad, but it seems like nothing is being done to address the middle class's needs. What do you think?

Ladies and gentlemen…if you’re riding the subway, get yourselves a can of hornet and wasp spray, the kind that sprays 20-30 ft. or so. Keep it in your large messenger bags. Keep the receipt in somewhere with your books or wallet so when the police question you about the spray you say you just forget you had the spray and receipt still with you. You remembered you still had the spray when you were being attacked and used it to defend yourself by spraying it into your attacker’s eyes so you could get away.
Could be a good idea, but not so much against guns!
imagine they let you guys carry a gun again geez, seems like the obvious choice.
They'll send you to prison for aggravated self defense
If you're still in New York at this point better to just bend over and take it 😂
Along the same lines and regardless of which state you live in: If you are carrying a knife and the police ask you if you are carrying a weapon, it's important to say _"No, but I am carrying a knife that I use for utilitarian purposes."_ If they press you and ask if it's for self-defense, maintain that you only have it for utilitarian purposes and that it is not a weapon. The reason is that if you acknowledge that it is a weapon, or for self-defense purposes, they can get you for "concealed weapon" charges. This is also why the original comment about wasp spray was worded as it was.
Same in California. LA spends $607,000,000 a year on homelessness. That money is going to salaries, contractors, non profits, etc. If homelessness is magically fix tomorrow, a lot of people lose their high paying job.

Amazing how when you decriminalize vandalism and shop lifting, crime rates go down! Just ignore all the vandalism and shop lifting, those aren't crimes anymore!
It does! People get frustrated, and stop reporting crimes. Crime rates decrease…
Of course, stores then have no choice but to go back to the counter store model where articles are fetched by the employees or some electronic toboggan filing system and no longer by the customer. You line up or better still you pass an order by phone and get an appointment. This would make polite employees in demand again. In many Apple stores you cannot get in and have a look at the products without an appointment.

Maybe if people lived in an economy where they can afford to buy things for themselves that wouldn't be an issue
@@ariarimeowmeow... agree! Give people the option to make minimum wage and still afford to eat and pay rent.
With this minimum wage you don't have enough to eat let alone rent a room.
In Pennsylvania the minimum wage is $7.25! If you work 8hrs a day and 5 days a week that is the total of $290. Then taxes are taken out. You lucky if you made $200 for the week. That is $800 a month! Who tf can live off of that a month while raising children? This has gotten out of hand and everybody should be in the streets protesting.
@@vanesatenorio609Higher minimum wage = more inflation
Retailers were loosing money criminally prosecuting shoplifters for misdemeanors. They now record and track their theft. Thieves then, feel confident and steel from multiple locations. Once they reach $10K in theft, they call the police. They are charged and prosecuted with a felony.
@@shabeki there is no inflation. The numbers are being rigged to give an illusion of why they are stealing money. It's price gouging at this point. How did the pay of the CEO's these past 2 years, went up 200% more while minimum wage never went up? The rich are getting richer while middle class and the poor are taken the hit.
Corporations will continue to pay for the rest of the apartments and continue to raise rents even higher. It's shameful.
Do they WANT ppl to move out so there's no one to vote?
Do not Vote Democrat
@@MrFrankqu58both parties areisrael first amerika last. The problem is most ppl think it’s a party problem.
I think if we open the borders and allow 30 million migrants into the country, demand for housing will do down, and prices of housing will also go down. Oh wait...never mind. I think I have that backwards.
@@schlomosMonster Better look what happened when Rudy Giuliani, Republican, was Mayor of New York City during the 1990s. As Mayor, It was the safest city in the Nation. Tourist visitation was high! I was able to go out in the middle of the night and not get mugged. New York City was making a lot of money and the population at that time was more than 13 million people! Now!! People are moving out when DeBlasio was Mayor and now more with the Adams is Mayor.
Glad for Cash speaking up. He's just speaking from his experience
The problem is.. Sweden is getting affected too, and we pay lots of skatt (taxes) :(
Same in London U.K.
No Worries! "AsYLuM" seekers will replaces the tax paying folks moving out.
Yeah that's what their trying to do. Get all the abandoned properties for next to free in terms of New York so they don't have to build social housing for migrants. Just create a crises that replaces one populas with another. Problem solved 😉...
It is starting with asylum seekers but they are already turning into asylum patients and inmates from all over the planet : walking on the best avenues exposes you to punching in the face done just for the fun of it. I don't worry : no city is richer in psychiatric specialists and workers as well in psychoanalysts than Manhattan. NYC is the world's cuckoo's nest.
Exactly.
They're running out of other peoples money to support them though. The tax base is moving out.
The more I watch this channel, the more I see how fortune I was to live in Manhattan 20 years ago. It was fantastic and I absolutely loved it. No way I could afford it now. I don’t know why New Yorkers get a bad reputation, I found almost everyone was really friendly, very polite and very respectful, with the exception of a few, but you get that everywhere.
Indeed nyc in the 90’s +was simply amazing
Their stupid look how they vote
Thank for the boots on the ground showing us what news stations don’t or won’t
Very informative. Did not know this crazy was this crazy there.
So, I live in Georgia. My current neighbors that live in the apartment below me. They just moved here a few months ago from NY City. Have 2 employees at my work that moved here less than a year ago that lived in NY city. And that’s just my tiny bubble. They have told me stories. Yeah, way more ppl will be leaving this year. I always had NYC as a place I’d love to visit. It’s been marked off my list lol. I’ll avoid it like the plague. Which should be another concern for the city. I know a ton of ppl who won’t even visit anymore. The city is loosing residents AND tourists.
Ask those people to please not vote like the typical NYer. Otherwise you'll be dealing with the same kind of taxes and other (D)angers.
@@mgratkThey will still vote blue. Leftists are unable or unwilling to see the long term consequences of their actions. They do what feels good in the moment.
Doesn't look like anyone in NY gives a damn. Looks more like the homeless keep voting for the very government that destroys ppl's livelihoods. Which means citizens of NY must be enjoying their lives on the streets. So let them enjoy!
Usually, when ppl aren't happy with their government, they make sure to vote for a different one. If that doesn't happen that means ppl are happy and content with the government they already have. So I can't take those who complain seriously, they look like fools. If everything sucks fukin DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, or shut up. Period.
@@mgratkyour right! I don’t like it at all!! Don’t come down south go somewhere else.. And crime is going up and the traffic is starting to get worst!!!
Your state will be just like NYC soon. Watch those new residents vote blue, the same decisions that wrecked their old blue state.
I make 110k after taxes and insurance 401k contributions that’s 5600 a month that’s the cost of a 1 bedroom now without food or utilities and I have a family. We moved to PA my mortgage is 2300 with taxes and insurance for a 2800sqft house with land. I couldn’t afford a box in New York. So no 100k won’t get you far maybe with roommates it can but I’m pushing 40. Nobody has time for that nonsense. It stunts you emotionally and you can’t have a family.
Its crazy that tiny 90 square feet apartments without toilets are £1200+ my morgage is £1250 and I own a 4 bed house, with a garage, back garden and a summer house. With a toilet in the garage. (Full bath and toilet in house) I live in the midlands in the uk. When we visited NYC the food was so expensive!! We spent all our vacation money on our food, rather than day trips :( however our national minimum wage is low, we make 28k-32k a year on Average.
Really no toliets? Kitty liter boxes next. I don't understand no bathrooms. Thst is insane.
I wish the governor and mayor would watch and react to your videos. Wish we had real leaders
My wife and I moved from Syracuse, NY to NC 10 years ago. Best thing we ever did. Our income is way up, and expenses are way down. Even with inflation we pay less per year in property taxes in NC today than we paid PER MONTH in NY a decade ago. And obviously the weather is great here too
I want to move to NC this fall. Everyone I talk to says great things.
@@daebak_hana All we ask in NC is that you don't vote for the same kind of people who destroyed the place you're fleeing from.
NC is ruined now from everyone migrating here from New York and California the last couple years. Nothing is affordable here anymore. NC is already as expensive to rent as it is in NY now bc of the influx of people. It's overcrowded and it's no longer a nice place to live. Until a few years ago, it was a beautiful, quiet, peaceful and affordable place to live. Those days are over.
NY and California are ruining the south as well. It is even happening in Alabama. It is unbelievable. I thought we were all considered stupid bigots but it hasn't kept anyone away. Our politics is changing as a result. Happening everywhere and nobody learns from what they created. I am happy to have new people so long as they stop honking at everyone on the roads, stop voting for stupid shit, stop protesting for wars we have nothing to do with and stop thinking DEI isn't racist. It is even infesting our engineering companies where it is very hard to find really good tech people. Sorry, can't hire you cause you are light beige. If we don't turn things around this fall America will become California in every corner
@@mattywandersbecause people from NYC vote for trash policies. They vote based on feelings not facts.
My wife and I paid $60,000 in income tax 2 years ago while living in NYC.
Our combined salaries that equaled to a little over $200k was barely enough to live comfortably with transportation costs, rent, insurance, internet and electric bills, groceries and our teenage child.
We don’t live there anymore.
Don't vote your new home into the same problems you escaped from.

I left nyc a few months ago. I just came back to visit family. West 4th and union square both looked like war zones. Tents everywhere with half dressed homeless people getting high. Can’t wait to get out of here.
My new favorite pastime is watching your videos about the downfall of NY, I’m in texas.
Thank GOD you are reporting all of this the way it should be reported. No BS. Lies. No. Thanks so much. For your videos! Well done too. 👏👍
It's not just the city. It's all over New York. I live outside Albany and the majority of new apartment builds being built are charging 1700-2100 for single bedroom apartments. I am lucky I found one for $1260. It used to be 1050 two years ago. Houses have increased on Average $120k since 2020. Its ridiculous.
get out of NYS at all costs. I lived in Albany until 2006 and every time i have gone back to visit friends since then it becomes clear how much more dangerous and broke the place becomes. When i lived in Albany I paid 350/mo in rent but there were no decent jobs outside of my friends who got government jobs. The govt sucks the crap out of everyone and property taxes are going to go up.
Socialism ends with government regulators leaving tickets on a pile of dead worker bodies.
It's all over this country. Do people really believe these vloggers. I mean how could they not look at other states or city sbd and realize it's getting out of control.
Keep calling it Cash.
This life is out of control, and the big city leadership is the problem!
I wish your channel was also offered in Spanish and French so that migrants can be made aware of what immigration to NYC actually entails.
At this rate by 2030 seems like we will have just two classes: elite and well, everyone else. Even Long Island is starting to feel more pressure.
That is the goal! The very rich and homeless!
You're doing awesome *Journalism* mainstream should be taking notes on your content. It rocks.
Panic content about NYC collapsing is thoroughly mainstream.

I went to NYC twice once in 2021 and once in 2023. The first time I visited I completely fell in LOVE with NYC. New York City is one of America's greatest cities. I stayed for about 4 days in summer 2023. It solidified my love for NYC.
