@@pmil9645 Seems real. The guy who uploaded the video did a baritone cam if you dig deep into his channel. I think corps members in their respective sections usually have access to judge tapes.
We will NEVER hear another hornline sound like this again. No debate, no question. Flawless from the very beginning to the very end. Unmatched balance, perfect control, and immaculate intonation. Matt Harloff is literally the GOAT. #purplepantsband Edit: It's now been 8 years to the day since this truly historic performance, Crown deserved every tenth of a point that night 🟣 👑
I WAS IN THE STADIUM ON THIS NIGHT. THE ONLY COMPARABLE FEELING TO WATCHING THIS SHOW WAS WINNING A B.O.A REGIONAL IN HIGH SCHOOL. STRAIGHT GOOSEBUMPS EVEN TILL THIS DAY!!!! INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE!!!
I’ve listened to all corps audio on CD from 2011 - 2017 and this is without question the cleanest, most impressive brass performance I’ve ever heard. Simply outstanding from beginning to end. Well done!
I have enjoyed corp since 1992...after I saw this show in GA. Knew spot on....WINNER....Been watching this core for many years...They have always been GREAT🤩
Did all the judges cry during this performance? I remember watching the General Effect judge tape and he was touched by the ballad. I can fully understand though.
@@joeplavin I’m saying there is a field judge standing in front of everyone making sure they are contributing and matching quality to the people next to them. You can hear and feel that way more precisely from on the field. There are no judges left on the field

Can you imagine how the players felt as they heard this tape. Calling them all stars.
No wonder he gave it a perfect score he's basically in tears by the end 😂
I can’t tell if it’s real or fake

Holy moly. This is even more impressive hearing each section as the judge moves amongst the corp. wow.
This judge sounds a lot like tuco from breaking bad and honestly, the mental image of tuco geeking over drumcorp makes me laugh
Tight tight
He really does wow
2022 and yt recomend this to me.. this is the best judge tape
"Technique is not an effect, it is part of the repertoire" should be the corps mantra and printed on every crown semi trailer

They are sounding just as great this year. But the judges arent impressed apparently. And let me guess, 2013 they didnt win best brass?
They placed first overall and best brass in 2013. With a perfect brass score.

How can a judge really listen if talking so much?
They’re really good at their job. Also because of how damn loud corps are you probably can’t even hear yourself think
You do realize the talking is part of the judging right? It's part of the job
Anybody got the field percussion judge tape?
