Staying tuned, did the sd card survive that long ? could have a micro switch inside the frame (reboot), pi os now can run read-only or from usb stick, maybe try a pure python webserver (no apache - php), used html to make the "ui" nice, html button stretching to fit text-size, buttons with images, very flexible.
Well done! Look forward to the next Video! 👍
Thank you!!! The next one will be a lot of fun!!

Yup on pretty much all of that *lol*...I'm personally quite a fan of the python flask framework for putting web apps together.
looking forward to Pt2! Wonder whether you could just use Magic Mirror software as the base and add plugins as required. Could save a lot of coding.
The WI-Fi on Model's 1 & 2 were awful at staying connected, (a lot of timeouts). It got better with a Pi 3, and is solid with the Pi 4 & Pi 5.
Yup...gonna probably use a pi zero 2w for the new version and even on that, the WiFi is pretty good!
@@jeffs_piinthesky - Might be a good choice.
Are you related to Linus from Techtips fame?
Nope, though if he ever wanted to throw me any of that LTT money, I wouldn't say no *lol*
