    Most reviews are just commercials. Your review was fantastic. Glad to see you wearing the shoe and walking around in it. Any review where somebody is pulling it out of the box for the first time isn’t really a review. My only suggestion would be to turn down or get rid of the music next time. Hope to see more show reviews from you in the future.

    Really good, in depth review, I love my Gobis. I've had the II's for 4 years now, they still look great! I just clean them around once a year with soapy water and finish with leather wax, easy. Just ordered the newly released Gobi III's to use when I need them to look extra presentable. So it'll be Gobi III's for Business II's for Adventure. - This is a lifetime shoe for me and many others. Great job Vivo.

    Totally agree. I’ve been wearing Gobi II for over a year. My favorite shoe all time. The more I wear them the more comfortable they become. My feet thank me everyday. I wear them for everything I do. 5 stars for sure. Thanks bro. Aloha

    I have been wearing these in the last 3 weeks. Best shoes ever. I own a pair of Magna FG and Primus Lite for the gym. I am not coming back to from barefoot shoes. VIVO came to stay. Thank you.

    This video earned you another subscriber my man. Everything from the footage to the wording of your review, and even the way you speak made this honestly the best Gobi II review I've seen. And as an added bonus, I've had my Gobi II's for about a month now and am loving every bit of them. Pricey but something I consider a worthy investment, from all that you can do with it to the quality of the shoe itself and its longevity

    I love how we are so lost that what is pretty much a traditional pre-renaissance shoe, is now some sort of revolution.
    Our ancestors knew what they were doing, we’ve gone too far in many ways trying to ‘support’ our body and mind. We are decaying them instead.

    • @jasonmajor8300
      @jasonmajor8300 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are like plimsoll’s from the 1970’s. Those shoes were dirt cheap. Only in the 21st century could these shoes be sold for hundreds of pounds and be hailed as a revolution.

    • @faramund9865

    Finally a thorough review of these shoes! Ive been watching your videos for a while and I love them.
    I have had a pair of Gobi II for three years now and they feel better than ever. I treat the leather with some leather protective occasionally and they’ve only gotten more comfortable. I also have both color-ways. For the all black Gobi color, I’ve bought a thin pair of shoe laces as the original ones were too thick and too be able to tuck them in. For the Brown Gobi pair, i have just cut the laces to make then shorter.

    • @GrownandHealthy
      @GrownandHealthy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching! They are really comfy shoes.
      Those adjustments are sure to give a more stylish look, thanks for the tips.
      Did the leather protective, change the color of the brown shoes drastically?

    • @wwehht
      @wwehht 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Grown and Healthy I’ve never seen my pair as bright in brown color as the ones shown in the video - a bit jealous. The leather protective i use is Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP. This product is known for darkening leather, but i am personally not bothered much by the change as prolonging the use of the leather is the better payoff. One would have to do a bit of research to find a product that won’t darken the leather’s color much. Leather products will darken its color because of the oils they contain specially if they’re made of natural ingredients. The product is easy enough to apply with your fingers, doesn’t smell like chemicals either, and will give a bit of shine to the surface that’s not too overwhelming. Treating the leather will make them look like new; think of it as moisturizer for your skin.

      Wow. Commented 2+ years ago. Still have my original pair plus 3 or 4 others now. Still going strong. I don't doubt they upper will hold up on its own but if you want it to truly last you do need to clean them once or twice a year and apply some leather conditioning and/or water-proofing. The upper is truly great and conditioning like that will have it outlast the sole easily. (tho my original pair's sole is not any where near worn out). 5 years now and still the best shoes I've had. Love this model.

  • @YRivera1

    Best Gobi II review I've seen. I agree about the laces. I thought Timbos as soon as I got them, but I switched them to pure brown ones and it looks much better. Red laces work well too if you want a little flare. Mine has lasted a little less than two years because I have worn out the heels. I wore them all the time. I am looking to get a new pair and see there is a Gobi III now. Any experience with those? I read since Vivo has adjusted them to be refurbished the feel is a little different. Some say it is much about nothing, but others are of another mind. Either, thanks for the review and your walk videos!

  • @reyne8424
    @reyne8424 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I‘ve had these for 4 years now. They are really tough and still look good and I wear them everywhere. Even the laces are still in good shape. Only problem I have with them is that it’s strange to walk on hard surfaces in them. The natural padding I get when walking barefoot is completely missing, and I can’t seem to get my feet and legs to adapt accordingly. This isn’t an issue in more challenging terrain. (I hope you get what I mean)
    I don’t have this problem with slightly more padded models or in socks/barefooted.
