Every project has great progress until it reaches near Mumbai. Whether it’s Delhi Mumbai expressway, MAHSR, WDFC or Samrudhi Mahamarg.

Work is progressing well. Infrastructure projects are moving fast except for segments of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Maharashtra - the segment by Montecarlo Construction is going at a snail's pace, among others.

You are wrong . Coastal Road ,Atal Setu ,New Mumbai International Airport, Naina New 3 rd City . Various metro routes and tunnel project are completed or on fast track to completion.
This Portion is the most complicated part of WEFC I think, work will pick up only after new Government swearing in in New Delhi I think. Thanks for this wonderful video. Keep updating us.

Whole freight will not move to Mumbai port. Most of it will get distributed for transportation through various ports in Gujarat before entering JNPT. That is why mid section has been completed and Mumbai segment is moving at slow pace, as there is no demand urgency for freight transportation in this section.
You are absolutely wrong. Connectivity to JNPT is the most important part.

the panvel to jnpt section should be least priority as the current panvel-jnpt line can be moved to the new wdfc at panvel. there is no passenger traffic there. WDFC should complete the previous sections quickly

Can you create a video on the progress of " Bansapani-Jaroli-Daitari-Tomka-Jakhapura " rail line doubling. There are numerous video on DFC. But other projects are not covered. I believe you can only cover this project updates.

Question: Why didnt they upgrade the existing alignment after the airport instead of laying new track? I assume that section of track is only used by goods trains. Was it not possible due to RoBs or was the service disruption deemed to be worth more than laying new tracks?

@@manh9105 that insults the people behind the freight corridors. It's not a matter of capacity, there must have been deliberations on pros and cons of updating existing lines.
Maybe a single RoB wouldn't allow double stacking of containers.
Maybe the alignment was too curvy to maintain the line speed.
Maybe despite the presence of the existing alignment, another 2 tracks are required to increase capacity.
Maybe the time required to shut down a line and upgrade it and the corresponding disruption to service was costlier than laying a new line.
If you don't have anything productive to contribute please don't resort to insulting the planners.

The speed of project completion is woefully behind China's. That should be the standard of comparison. Of course China does not have to deal with the courts and resolution of conflicts that are necessary in a democracy like India. Still, it would be very gratifying to have detailed investigative reporting on why such and such section is developing slowly. Is it because of genuine engineering problems, skilled manpower problems, supply chain problems, manufacturing capacity problems, babu problems with minor corruption and tucchagiri, or neta problems with major corruption and dadagiri?

before anyone claims any agenda let me say that once the NCR-GUJ sections are done, pace of work in the GUJ-JNPT section will dramatically increase. its being done this way keeping in mind deadlines, topography and weather. same goes for other DMIC projects as well

project has major deadlock which might take years to get any conclusion that is flyover near nilje station kalyan- shilphata road no work is visible flyover needs to be demolished as height is low to WDFC parametres and new ROB has to be taken in construction still no work is visible this you have not highlighted & mentioned in this this major lack of information
