I always say Fantasia should play Dinah Washington in a movie. Fantasia's talent has been overlooked. She has proven herself to be an all-around entertainer. A lot of the legends like Patti LaBelle, the late Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Babyface and so many others have all praised Fantasia. Check out her performance in the Broadway musical After Midnight. The show was set in the 1920's and 30's Jazz age th-cam.com/video/hjFwby-J_ZE/w-d-xo.html
After the first few bars that she sang in this performance I was reminded of Dinah Washington, so I was gratified to hear your comments to this effect at the midway point. With further listening I was also getting some touches of Nancy Wilson. I've always thought that Nancy Wilson was heavily influenced by Dinah Washington. Furthermore, your comments about the state of R&B and great singers being overlooked due to industry politics are right on. Thank you for your thoughtful, intelligent, and insightful comments in your reaction videos. Compared to many reaction video commentators, you are leagues ahead of the pack.
she also has a rock n roll call warning and a country song called ugly
I love those two tracks
