I’m in London and today I had high tea at a traditional old hotel near St James’s Park. There were 3 English people at the table next to mine, and I caught a few snippets of their conversation: “They didn’t even know the Clooneys,” “Charles was SO nice to her,” and other comments generally dragging Meghan & Harry to hell. My daughter & I were dying trying to keep from laughing, and I so wanted to go to their table and join in the gossip! 😂 I adored Cressida’s dress! It was my favorite of the day!
I did wonder is wearing white not frowned on in Britain like it is here in the states? Pippa’s dress was beautiful and looked almost as elegant as Catherine’s. Regarding Serena, as a black American female, I can say that it is very common in black culture to spend time doing our hair. Our hair care is time and effort intensive, and you just plan for it. If you've ever seen the movie Friday, there is a scene where the main character's sister is sleeping with her head propped up by her hand to not mess up her hairstyle, and I've totally done that.

Even though I've heard many negative comments regarding Catherine's dress at Pippa's wedding I always thought that she looked wonderful, perhaps because my mother, who got married in 1940, was wearing an identical dress.

Let's be very blunt. Markle did not invite her own family, but did invite Hollywood elites, the group she had always wanted to be part of. She did not know them, and one invitee, Reese Witherspoon, very bluntly said she had not gone to the wedding as she did not know Markle at all. Apparently others considered it a great photo op. So far as her inviting friends, she had already kicked her old friends to the curb because they did not fit in with the new friends she was trying to make.
This wasn’t about wedding, it was a continuation of her networking! She didn’t know most of these people. She wanted to say I’m royal now. I am not an A lister, you have to accept me now. Then they highlight it with the Lion King red carpet
I do think that a lot of Sophies dresses are a tad too long, and they make her look frumpy. She need to wear them just to her knees. It's the same with Beatrice's dress just a tad too long. Catherine being taller and slender can pull the longer dresses off perfectly.

Beatrice’s teal dress I’m scoring as a huge win. I don’t like the bath mat balls either, but it might me the most reasonable dress and headband she’s ever worn. The shape and style of the dress is beautiful, just needs one of those sweater shaver things. Eugenies dress could have been more fitted, but again, she doesn’t look like a freak show so it’s a win. I agree that Idris Alba’s wife’s dress wasn’t figure flattering or great for the event (tho it looked super comfortable), but I loved her shoes. I also LOVED Catherine’s pink ceremony dresses for the Jordanian wedding - she always looks stunning and is able to pull off modest cuts without looking dowdy. I also really liked Beatrice’s ceremony dress from the Jordanian wedding - I think it was a very romantic look and one of her best.

I agree that the panels in Pippa's dress broke up the flow of the pattern and is the only negative for that look. If it had not had those and just been the floral print, it would have knocked it out of the park. Meghan's guest list of inviting strangers and just one family member was a warning of the trouble ahead. When she got with Harry, the drama and salacious celebrity culture that she wanted to achieve was brought into a world that was always going to clash with that sort of mentality.

I loved, loved, loved Catherine's muted pink gown at the Jordan wedding. It was beautiful and romantic and suited her so well. I wasn't wild about either of Beatrice's looks, but she rarely wears styles I like. Meghan really got the short end of the stick with her wedding guest choices. She may have had a short-term gain, but ultimately, every one of those people has dropped her like a hot potato. Including *gasp* Oprah. She didn't do herself any favors when she gave the Harkles carte blanche to spew their lies. Priyanka Chopra's wedding look would have been nicer in another material. The wrinkles and bunching ruined it, but she did look nice at reception.
Don’t know how a fashion channel missed Lady Kitty Spencer at this wedding. She wore a stunning Dolce&Gabbana green dress and looked absolutely gorgeous. Lady Kitty is very pretty anyway but her dress was next level.
Lady Kitty is a stunner! She wore a drop dead gorgeous sky blue dress to one of the Royal weddings that deserves a close look. I imagine that if Diana had had a daughter, she would’ve looked like Kitty Spencer.

Beebs has to react to the dresses that Lady Kitty wore on her wedding. Coz if we're talking about body types and fits, her wedding dresses are fitted to a capital T. My fave was the blue one with flowers. Dolce & Gabbana did an amazing job with the dresses. 😊

Love your review of wedding guests outfits, & I have to say that for an American you have a good understanding of royal etiquette. That's meant as a compliment because I realise that people aren't raised in the US with the whole royal thing. MM has sure brought that home! The fake curtsey she did on Netflix was a heartbreaking slap on the face of a society's ancient traditions, and also to her husbands family who'd welcomed her with open arms.

I love your wedding guests comments, the diversity of outfits makes viewing and commentary almost as interesting as the bride[s dress itself. Even though I've heard many negative comments regarding Catherine's dress at Pippa's wedding I always thought that she looked wonderful, perhaps because my mother, who got married in 1940, was wearing an identical dress.

Let's be very blunt. Markle did not invite her own family, but did invite Hollywood elites, the group she had always wanted to be part of. She did not know them, and one invitee, Reese Witherspoon, very bluntly said she had not gone to the wedding as she did not know Markle at all. Apparently others considered it a great photo op. So far as her inviting friends, she had already kicked her old friends to the curb because they did not fit in with the new friends she was trying to make.

I do think that a lot of Sophies dresses are a tad too long, and they make her look frumpy. She need to wear them just to her knees. It's the same with Beatrice's dress just a tad too long. Catherine being taller and slender can pull the longer dresses off perfectly.

Pippa's guest dress was inspired by TEA! The main floral print: AriZona Green Tea with Ginseng (bottle labels & cans.) The inset panels: the shade of a nice cuppa hot tea with the perfect amount of milk. 😄

The Jordanian wedding was the epitome of class and elegance. All of the women looked gorgeous and regal. I have to disagree with the comment abouf Oprah's dress at the Markle wedding. I thought it was ghastly and all wrong for her body shape. Doria looked elegant though.

I would be happy with any fashion edition that you want to create. I agree about Sophie's dress being a breath of fresh air because it was classy but not too staid. I liked the colors that Catherine and Beatrice wore to the Jordanian wedding. Muted colors are appropriate for the guests and did fit the theme of the rest of the party's attire.
Queen Rania of Jordan is also an exceptional beauty with great fashion sense. I have not ever seen her look bad!

I agree that Idris Alba’s wife’s dress wasn’t figure flattering or great for the event (tho it looked super comfortable), but I loved her shoes. I also LOVED Catherine’s pink ceremony dresses for the Jordanian wedding - she always looks stunning and is able to pull off modest cuts without looking dowdy. I also really liked Beatrice’s ceremony dress from the Jordanian wedding - I think it was a very romantic look and one of her best.

I agree that the panels in Pippa's dress broke up the flow of the pattern and is the only negative for that look. If it had not had those and just been the floral print, it would have knocked it out of the park. Meghan's guest list of inviting strangers and just one family member was a warning of the trouble ahead. When she got with Harry, the drama and salacious celebrity culture that she wanted to achieve was brought into a world that was always going to clash with that sort of mentality.
