Not visited Buxton for some years now, but when I have visited we would always call in at Ashford In The Water on the way back, nice little place especially in the Summertime with Monsal Head just up the road.
I love Ashford there are so many lovely place nearby even the drive over is fab. X

Hi Becky and of course your mum, love seeing your mum too. That was beautiful in Buxton, love the buildings and the grounds around them. I like stained glass too, nice piece your mum got there. I must say I would love to watch you two trying to make some stained glass. Keep on showing us your wonderful tours of different places etc . Debbie brid
Ahhh Buxton is just how i remember it 30 years ago when we used to visit Derbyshire for our family holidays!! Looks like even the little train in the park still runs in the summer!! 😊great memories- thanks to you and your mum for taking us round ❤
Enjoyed your visit to Buxton, it's a great place .... seeing your lovely mum with you, having a wonderful day together . The tomes I've been to Buxton & can't believe I haven't been in Potters before 😮 will have to take a look ❤
I loved this vlog, especially the pavilion , reminds me of when I visited one in Edinburgh, loved the Art they also had printed in pist cards I bought brought back to canada had them enlarged and framed, looks very expensive. Always a delight to have your mum come along😊
I loved you mum's stain glass purchase as it was a bit like art deco 1930s style. I really loved it. You are so lucky to have your parents still. Lots of love.❤
Hi becks your so much like your mum chick very interesting love buxon used to live not to far away. Infact you both your brother too looks like your mum. Your so lovley inside and out❤❤❤❤❤❤
So pretty in the summer I remember , beautiful memories of my kids when they were little , and me and my husband as very young parents going for the day from Manchester, back in the 90s , we have lived in Australia for many years now , Buxton is just how remember it .Thanks Becky .💃🏻
Hi Becky, loved your vlog. The Dome used to be a hospital for rheumatology, my mum spent many a week in there. Its an absolutely beautiful building inside, definitely worth a visit.
We went to Buxton just over a year ag. I liked it but I also thought there was something lacking. So many beautiful buildings and some that could have some great upmarket shops in them. I loved the tropical garden. We have some fish in our pond and we think they lay eggs that grow into fish but when they are small they have to hide under lilly pads otherwise the big fish will eat them. Thanks Rebecca and Hillary.
I agree they could do with some nice upmarket shops or even just some smaller independents the main street was lacking. Thankyou for the fish info that makes sense! x
Great video Becky. We have stayed at the Palace Hotel a number of times now and it is really smart , not like other Britannia hotels (e.g Liverpool ) . Buxton certainly is a lovely place to visit. You missed the Cavendish Arcade which has a number of independent shops and some lovely stained glass. Hope your Mum's back is better. Thanks for posting.
I had some wonderful times in Buxton in my younger days, Used to go to Pavilion gardens to watch wrestling in the octagon room, you're definitely too young to remember but we used to see Mick MacManus, Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy etc, thank you for fetching back some happy memories 😊
Interesting vlog. Buxton is looking a lot better than when I last visited but that was a bloomin long time ago. Goldfish lay eggs and that fat one is a type I think it's called a moor?
Another superb vlog Becky. A beautiful place. The outside well was where James had a run in with a guy who would not let a gentleman fill up his water bottles.
I love this video and Buxton (otherwise known as Arnemetia, which in Roman means 'she who dwells in the sacred grove') and live just a few miles north of it. Every time I visit it always feels like I'm on holiday, it's a magical place! I think it's got a lot to do with the underground hot water springs. If you visit again there's a quite a few more very interesting places to check out like Solomon's Temple - Grin Low, Poole's Cavern and Anemetia's Purple shop for some spiritual gifts near the market place. Also, the Buxton Brewery do some great ales.
Hi Rebecca, Loved seeing you again, and what a great vlog you have created. Mum looks lovely tell her and you bounce off one another wonderfully when you are filming together or should that be collide!🤣 She loves to steel the show! We think you are both FAB!! Answer to the fish question; My father used to keep both tropical exotic fish indoors and large fresh water fish in a 7000 gallon pond outside. Generally hot water fish give birth to live young and are called livebearers whilst cold water fish produce eggs which may be fertilised either internally or externally. If you have spotted a fish that swims on its side or cannot submerge , it usually indicates a swim bladder problem. Hope this helps? Look forward to seeing you again soon. We are also looking forward to your next vlog, don’t forget to bring Mum along!👌🏻👍🏻 Love, John & Margaret XX😊😀
Ah thanks guys yes mum was definitely trying to steal the show 😁 thanks for the fish info I know who to come to if Edward talks me into getting him some!! X
Hi, ticked 2 bucket list places last yr, lake district and peak district and went buxton, matlock and bakewell 😊remember your james had the confrontation at the water fountain on his vlog😊
Thanks, Becks! Always interesting videos dost thou post! 1. Those Canadian Geese can be very aggressive! 2. I would buy those tile pictures of the birds! 3. Poor Mary Q of S! Elizabeth shipped her all over England as a prisoner! Then Walsingham, Liz’s spy chief, falsely accused Mary of plotting subversion and convinced Liz to have her executed! A sad story! 4. Your mum saw the prices of the lunch menu, and being a true Yorkshire lass, decided she would skip lunch! 😀! 5. What a fine town is Buxton! Xx!

The Dome was considered the grandest stables in Europe and belonged to the Duke of Devonshire horses.. It’s subsequently been a hospital and in more recent times an education facility with Derby Universities 😊
Nice work Becky, a lovely town I've been through several times over the years, but the one time I went specifically to stop, walk round and take pictures was 7 years ago when it was swelteringly hot and the place was swarming with those nasty flying ants everywhere ! Must re-visit and check out some of the places you went which I missed - however you forgot to visit the town's 'major claim to fame' Silverlands, the home of Buxton FC which holds the record of being the highest football ground in England at 1,020 feet above sea level ! 😉
