I am having trouble coming up with pleasing layouts, whether it is on a pocket, tag or whole page. I don't know how to create a focal point and put the right amount and color and texture of elements. I am trying to do an unsolved mysteries of the world journal for my husband. I am using maps, travel ephemera, nautical items and treasure ephemera.

Poor thing, your dream was probably very busy because you are always busy and rushing to get everything done, so it was probably your subconscious. Maybe you could meditate before you go to sleep.
I’m very busy also, full time Administrator for a mental health facility, triplets all in virtual high school & of course fitting in crafting so if I don’t try to de-escalate before I go to sleep, my busy mind carries over to my dreams 😊

Ms Admiral. Google Florentine paper on Google. Mind you, it's very inexpensive. But I only use mine for special journals. Hope this helps. 🦋
