I absolutely knew there would be an episode like this. Scottish weather in May be like; It May snow It May rain It May hail It May be windy You May get sunshine You May get all of the above in one day. God I feel homesick though
Well that was an emotional roller coaster... These are the sort of rides that create fantastic memories, great effort all for completing that extremely gruelling ride 👏
I've massively enjoyed these videos, thanks. It's also got me out of a stupid n+1 thought process and made me realise I can just bung bags on my carbon bike and get on with it. Racepacking!
An adventure is even bigger when things don't go to plan, it's those days/rides you will remember forever! The Lochinver leg you did was the most prettiest/scenic section when I rode it. You probably couldn't see the views after leaving Lochinver to Durness though cos of the golf balls hitting you 🤣 unreal scenery. Best videos you've ever done mate IMO 👊

That none of you you skated off the road in the hailstorm is nothing short of a miracle. I have to say the understated comments on the weather ("it's a bit fresh") had me rolling. Inquiring minds want to know whether that heavily-laden single rider reached safety before dark. Really enjoying this. Thanks. BTW, I think CAMS would be great if we had it over here. Been waiting for this leg. @ 6:30 you're basically beside where my dad lives 😆. I'm hoping to cycle up there from Edinburgh this year! Route up and back is ~1000km
Hate to say it .... but I was waiting for the weather at some point. Mind you, not exactly expecting for falling golf balls. I’d venture the edit of that footage opted out of some of the more negative comments in 200+ km of riding in that stuff. Typical Scotland ... when you can see it, it’s stunning (apart from the bloody midges), when you can’t see it, you know it’s Stunning (and the midges aren’t out)
It looked like one hell of a from day on the bike. But let's be honest, you guys will be talking about this day on the bike for years to come. You'll even be telling your kids and grandkids 👍😆
