As a 60 year old cyclist who lives In Edinburgh and aspires to do the NC500, your videos are by far the most inspirational I’ve watched that make me want to get off my backside and on to these roads. Great film and a great trip. Keep doing these.

We did NC500 end of July a couple years back now... Scotland will be Scotland and provide the rain regardless. Mega trip. This is bringing back the best memories!

Great vlog , unlucky with the weather , it reminds me of my LETJO’G in 1997 6 day challenge, just two of us riding, doing it and kipping in a transit van for ten days , 4 us in van , 3 road bikes and luggage , pick the best week to go May / June bank holiday weekend , and I’m quite proud of my achievement 150 miles a day (Terry Cole / LRTCC) pity I never had Strava in the 90’s 👍🚴🏿💪🍺🍰
I don't know what kind of VW Alex is driving, but it looks way cooler than anything we have here. Next time you go to Scotland, maybe go in August, so you can avoid the hail season... Looks like a great time.
Surprised that you did not take the small detour to visit Dunnet Head Lighthouse. The most Northerly place in Mainland UK and Just 15 miles from JoG and you would have gone past it on the JoG from Thurso.
In Wick, apart from Tesco, airport and bike shop, you have also past the shortest street in the world, called Ebenezer Place (Mackays Hotel you can see it at 6:20 time stamp of your video). It's just next to the roundabout after the bridge. Now you wish you have known that and stop to make pictures :P.
Ha... you passed through the wee village of Keiss... (and it is wee... 2 clicks on google and you're through) my family lived there 5 generations back before moving to New Zealand mid 1800's. :)
