  • In his video you will see a demonstration of the "Hover".
Neutral buoyancy is singularly the most important skill you can learn as a diver. Apparently, it is also the hardest. At RAID, we do not believe this, and by following a few simple steps, you will achieve neutral buoyancy with ease while also maintaining trim. Hovering while standing up or sitting (Buddha position) is unrealistic when applying the skill to actual diving.
Good buoyancy will save you energy, streamline you, protect the environment and also protect your equipment. It is singularly the most enjoyable diving skill once mastered as it will allow you complete interaction to the underwater world.
This video is designed to be used by new divers, learning to dive, Divemasters, Instructors and Trainers.
At RAID we believe diving neutrally buoyant is no accident. It's all about proper training.

At least not on a sandy bottom.. When there are rocks or in a pool it doesn't do much and is quite a good way to learn this skill in the beginning
