If it was a "poor team selection" why did Arsenal look so good in the 1st half at keeping control of the ball and completely awful in the 2nd half. I'd argue Emery's plan was to absorb the pressure and defend well and then bring on Leon Bailey to finish things up. Whatever Arteta did at half time made the players look muted and ineffective. I'm really glad we've got Emery as a manager, not given time or respect from Arsenal fans.
With all due respect to Arsenal - we could've increased our goal difference by a lot more had we had players back from injury/suspension like Douglas Luiz, Kamara, Buendía, Mings, Ramsey, Cash.

Any realistic Arsenal knew from the word go that Arteta was a very strange appointment. Yes, after we won the FA Cup I thought I may have to eat my words. However, the guy’s a bottle-job & a serial loser.
I really want him to prove me wrong but sadly he’s not. Can give a list of reasons of why he is so far out of his depth, but would be writing a bloody novel & raising my blood pressure.
On another note, credit to Aston Villa. No excuses, we created nothing at all in the 2nd half & they fully deserved to beat us.

I am so glad this happened. The last few weeks have been unbearable listening to these deluded former Liverpool and Arsenal “players now pundits”. Arteta is a serial loser, won nothing. Klopp is a serial loser - been here for ages and won the same amount of titles as Ranieri.
