But to our surprise he was we approached roger all star struck . Roger said leave them with me and go and enjoy your fishing . At the end of the day we collected our prize possessions with wry smiles on our faces. How ironic that thirty odd years later that Rogers charity was helping our late son in law who lost his fight to cancer . Rogers charity made all the difference to my daughter and husband in their darkest hours with his charity . Not only my musical hero but a fine man as well. I saw the Who in ‘69 at Mother’s in Birmingham. They were brilliant and put everything into the gig including most of Tommy. I was able to speak to Roger as he was about to get into his Lamborghini. He was polite and friendly. I often bore the young ‘uns with how much better (and cheaper!) it was to enjoy the greatest music when you could stand so close to the stage rather than half a mile away!
Excellent. I started playing drums in 1964 because of the Beatles and the WHO. My 2 favourite bands. I've seen the WHO twice with Keith and Once with Kenny Jones. Great Presentation and Thank You.

Been a long time Who fan. I grew up listing to The Who and Led Zeppelin. I never had the opportunity to see them earlier but I got to see them in 1997 got to see John Entwistle on bass. Ever since John passed away it wasn't the same.
We should stop worshipping these current "junk food" celebrities and admire talented ones like Roger Daltrey. He was a top student and had so much promise, but his career decision to be a musician was the best choice. Too bad he engaged in the immature act of smoking tobacco during school, but it's so awesome that he never used drugs and that other bull$hit.
I most certainly respect singers/ musicians WHO do not use any drugs at all! But still love Pete Townshend too despite his early bad behavior with drugs/ alcohol!
