I think that terrans are tactical superior due to their vulnerabilities that necessitate highly effective combat doctrin, not held back by religion or requiring psionic control to function and units that favor versatility to deal with overpowering enemies.
Terrans are the most flexible and resiliant race in the game.Their structers can be built and relocated anywere on the battlefield and all terran units have ranged attacks.
I LOVE Blizz's videos and this is not an exception but I really laughed out when Jim said: "We dont have technology of protoss or adaptability of the zerg, but our will to fight as a team makes us a formidable foe" THAT was just too much XD

drte drtetina You may have a "Unstoppable" army, But the Zerg can tear through anything, Either we'll send more Zerglings than you could create marines with a thousand barracks, Or we'll send Ultralisks that could tear right through your Thors, For the Swarm!

The great thing about the terrans is their ability to heal and repair. Only they can do that, and it doesn't even cost too much money. although they lack a bit in toughness
Nah, in lotv marines are cool but with adepts in mid game and ultralisk late game they are not op any more. And after the buffs to siege tank and viking terrans start to use all the units finnaly.
Terran, the don't have melee weapons, they have 3 cheaps units (hellions, hell bat, MARINES) don't require vespine gas. with that 3 units and a couple of medivac you can take the game control very soon.
love my terrans. personally, I like to bring the entire terran arsenal: MMM, tanks, thors, airpower, and our vaunted nuclear weapons. definitely not easy to do, but it's very worth it when it succeeds.
It's funny to see the Battlecruiser firing on the Carrier in this video ... because you never see that in StarCraft II. Sure, the Carrier is available in the game. It's available. That's all you can say about it.
Commander Jupiter In the first Starcraft in order to build nukes you need to build nuclear silo. It also takes about 8 supply for your 200 population. Well in the second Starcraft it no longer needs supply to build nukes.
terrans are pretty good. the fact that they can repair, heal, and move entire buildings aroung is impressive. the protoss cant heal but have shields which are still pretty good. i have won several games with just the marine maurader medivac combo (with stim packs of course). the terrans are an extremely effective fighting machine if you know how to use them
I never thought that terrans could have "superior firepower," as described by Tychus Findlay; the protoss always seemed to have the most powerful units. but the terrans do have Thor's 250 mm cannons, battlecruisers yamato cannons, siege tanks, and nuclear weapons.

Yes it is. SC1 was originally a licensed WH40k game but funding collapsed and the project was cut. So instead of starting from scratch the project was nearly 75% complete so they deleted the WH40k dialogue, script, units, gameplay style and they then did a bit more work and backstory writing and changed the script to suit their new and unknown to them at the time revolutionary RTS both in story and multiplayer. Zerg have more Macro with Hatchery production, creep tumors, inject larvae and research from different structures. Terran are more head-on strategy. My point? They're different. Early mid game terrans are great. But that's just about it. Protoss and zerg has spells that affect enemy's positioning without the opponent being able to do anything about it(ie. FF and FG.) Terrans on the other hand have no spell of that sort, they rely on proper positioning that is easily disrupted by protoss and zerg. Do you see marines and marauders stutterstepping in force field or fungal growth? You lose units not because you were out of position but because they can cast spells.
