4:13 Once I saw these horses, all I could think was how incredibly lucky it would be for the direction of the video if, as they passed, one of them were to drop a big, warm, metaphorical representation of their relationship right in the center of the frame.
Wow, how have I never heard of Isabel Hagen? Saw a shout out for your special from Ranaan, and just seeing these now. I'm a comedy nerd, and this is amazing!
I‘ve just seen some standup snippet and did not expect this! This could be on Netflix. So much deepness and fun at the same time. Brava! I wish you all the best for a great future!
Totally brilliant... as soulful as a true violist... funny... sweet... sad... adorable. The writing is brilliant... move over Jack Benny. Since I'm also a viola player I love it even more. I used to live on W78th street... so I can relate to that too. When I was in chamber groups I'd always get weary of just doing the 'omm-pah-pah' parts as a violist - when the violin and cello and piano got to bask in the glory. I hope you get a lot of glory from your amazing creations... :0)
i was VERY distressed when he was snapping at you. you have a VERY dark sense of humour. and i was VERY entertained. we've emailed a couple times over the last few years. i was also at "the yard" (precollege in 78-9 and college 86-90)
I love this! Especially the awkward glances between Isabel and fiancé- it skated right up to that almost-believable line, and that makes it hilarious 😅
Hilarious! I almost laughed my c*ck off, but as it's only a shy shrimp it wouldn't be missed. Even the cat would turn up its nose at it if it came across it laying on the floor.
Oh I get the name. It’s like is a bel but is a violist. Ur on some queen shit ur extremely funny. As a fellow violist I can relate. I love your podcast!
OK, so now I'm feeling pretty dumb for that last comment because the credits are the end like w/ most videos . . . movies, tv . . . shows. EVERYBODY WAS GREAT! Seriously, it's really good.
I'm one of your fans who got interested in your work *as a violist* and only then discovered much later that you are a comedian. I was also a Sleater-Kinney fan from the beginning and still haven't gotten over the idea of Carrie Brownstein creating and starring in Portlandia, and that was like what 11 years ago now? Lydia Loveless also tried working in comedy too. I guess this just keeps happening to artists I like I mean, I'm *pretty* sure Angel Olsen is not going to have a career in comedy but given this track record I'm not ruling it out either
Funny as stuff Isabel :) Not to many comedic violists out there, so you should have a very exciting career ahead of you if this is anything to go by :) P.S. would be cool to see you and Liv Vessel perform together in the future, maybe as a duo one day perhaps. Seeing as he can play the violin, you 2 should be quite the perfect match right? :)
"Bigger than a violin, smaller than a cello...." words I've said 1000 times. So so good
Me too but mine only plays Ravel’s Boléro
"That's normal." Best line, best delivery.
That man throwing a coin in your box killed me lmao
Such a well scripted comedy sketch! the whole thing is A+
Very Good. Just saw her on Facebook and then watched this video on TH-cam. I like Isabel and her comedy. She should have her own show.

I can see this airing on TV!❤
Bwahahaha ssooo triggered !!! I just ended my pop quartet gigging career. Couldn't take playing those songs anymore xD
Love this! Classical music + Fleabag rhythms + Louie = my type of show!
This really deserves much more views than it has haha
High art attracts fewer fans than low art
About 1000x...at least.

You can relate to what? People not knowing about the viola?
@@leif1075 Yes
This is great
Well, someone needed to take over for Louie!! LOVED IT!!
this is really good, i found you through the stand up, but this is even better than that.

So glad I found this via Twitter. Love it.
Thanks!
You've got a new fan!
Don't tell a viola joke. BE the viola joke.
Excellent 🙃
Great series. Original, clever, real, touching.
Wow this is so artistic but also funny and entertaining. Amazing!
Isabel, I love this. I look forward to watching the rest of the series I hope it keeps going on and on and on.
So unique and so well put together. Excited to watch all these.
Even TH-cam autocompletes a search for "Isabel Hagen is a" with "violinist" 😅
Brilliant!

"How close you are with your family."
Brava.
you have skills, Isabel Hagen

Loved this!

When she went into "Don't stop believin' "
Those of you who don't know the words, look 'em up.
(Rarely hear beautiful & hilarious in comedy)
That was pretty funny!
Was the outro "Journey - Don't Stop Believin'" ?
Yes. Unfortunately it seems to mean for their relationship approximately what it meant for the closing scene of The Sopranos
this is great!
The whole video feels like social anxiety
The arrangement, for one viola, of the fragment of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin,'" goes uncredited.
This was very cute!
Well thought out if the fucked upedness of pol..wait, was that her brother😅
You bear such a striking resemblance to Greta Gerwig.
I admire your confidence and courage - just getting out there with a bold statement like that!
Love it
You definitely watch Curb your enthusiasm

LOVE IT
Thanks bae boys!!
Bravo ❤
haha awesome video #violapower
Credits for the other actors?!!
God bless Jessica lol
Justin Lanza (the homeless guy) is a musician.
And, now I see that it was put up a year and a half ago, so I'm kind of late for the party.
PAIN 😂
oh dear
Why is my life like this?
Of coarse Wynton is the first comment..... your talent level is infuriating. Please stop.
You were SOOOOOOO funny at Chatter but I'm sorry I honestly find this video so awkward it's just very uncomfortable. But keep at it!
👍👏🏻🖐🏻🇮🇹
Did you throw out a perfectly good croissant? WHY?!
Haha!!! Love this. @funnychaser
