Delve into the unsolved mystery of the disappearance of the Flannan Isles lighthouse keepers in this true crime video. Join us as we explore the eerie events that transpired on this remote island!
Great vid. There's a historic and very grisly reason why 3 men were always posted at lighthouses after the 1700s after one very fateful event in Wales, might be a good subject for a future video! I love taking photos of ligthouses, you have drive or trek for miles to get to them, find a good spot and then get the right conditions. I've shot lighthouses up and down the west coast of Scotland, Nothern England and Wales. Something so dramatic and remote, the last places on land where humans make their mark before the vast oceans begin.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The history of lighthouses is indeed fascinating, and I love that you're so passionate about photographing them. I'll definitely consider that topic for a future video!
As mentioned, "The Vanishing" 2018 was about what might have happened. Good movie that focuses on just one theory. BTW, first time to visit this channel. Great voice over. I'll be watching for more.
Thank you, “The Lighthouse” seems to be a very good film, as far as I can see it is not strictly about this case (Flannan Isles Lighthouse), but indeed it has in it one of the possibilities that could also happen here
The most plausible explanation is that a rogue wave or sudden surge hit the island, sweeping the men away. This theory fits with reports of damaged equipment found on the island.
Unfortunately, there is no more information on this subject. I think you have to take into account that this happened at a time when watches were winding, so the fact that time stopped in them may indicate that they arrived on the island, only after some time, when these, had already stopped, because there was no one to wind them.
My best guess would be that if they had several clocks to wind up each day they sync'd them all to be wound up at the same time each day so they only had to wind once a day rather than at all sorts of random times, that would easily explain why they all wound down and stopped at the same time.
I appreciate your perspective! I will take this into consideration, although I am going on the assumption that probably every publicly known criminal case or some kind of mysterious event, has already been presented in the form of a youtube video. I assume that those familiar with the subject will probably skip this video, and watch those who have no idea about it. In choosing the topic of the video, I am mainly guided by what I find interesting.

The movie "The Lighthouse" 2019 was also base (very loosely) on this mystery.

Keep at it. The channel will grow!
Thanks, will do!

The key is the clocks in the lighthouse had all stopped. Had they all stopped at the same time?

Great video
Hit the lotto and hightailed it???
Best thoughts for their souls.
Man, this is a long aired and deliberated case. No need of your further introspection on the subject to keep your TH-cam account alive.
