Today the side looked 5% off it, resulting in Fulham being the better side. Fraser Forster was my man of the match, he made at least 4 saves to save Spurs' bacon. At least it will shut up the Forster haters for a few days. Once again, Spurs management are setting the team up to allow massive acres of space for wide players on both sides of the pitch and both Iwobi and Smith-Rowe enjoyed themselves immensely. The pressing was poor compared to when Solanke leads it - Fulham played through it easily. The thing is, when you have sides like Fulham, Bournemouth not having two games a week, there is a sign that they are having a fitness advantage over teams playing European football, particularly if the latter pick up injuries. This is very difficult when the squad has 7 injuries/suspensions plus Mikey Moore out with a virus. At the start of the season, the bench looked the strongest in years, but with seven out, the bench now has several U18s. There's no point people complaining about 'the squad being thin', the squad is currently thin because of 7 injuries and one suspension. What I found most worrying was that Son didn't seem to be as up for the game as usual. He was unusually ineffective, to the point that you might start suggesting that Werner should start and Son should be benched. Not knowing how tired the players were from Thursday night, it's hard to be screaming and shouting at the players, but the performance level simply wasn't what is needed in the EPL.
Im not sure why everyone is upset. We're missing first team players and and is managing the players minutes as best as he can in cup games and league games. The alternative is going back to what other managers have done in the past and that is to prioritise a top for finish to get champions league football to be in a cup we have no chance of winning. I'd much rather win silver wear doing what we're doing and finish wherever we deserve to. finish in the league.
@SonnyTalksSpurs I agree. But let's judge at the end of the season and not now. I've just finished reading Angeball by Vince Rugari . I highly recommend it
No starting CBs, or Keeper and no recognised striker. We played more games than Fulham so they are fresher and they knew that. Injuries/sickness list is growing. But the expectation is 4 - 0 every games.
Thin squad. Not even enough fit players to put on a press. How about we back the rebuilding manager and try get him players rather than whinging and dragging down.
In answer to your opening question - yes it could get more mediocre. They could have lost both matches. Unfortunately - injury and illness to the front line has messed with our attack and the ability to back up performances 2x each week. Regrettably - just how it is right now - need more squad depth still - I think that's the main issue.
Every man and his dog wanting to give their opinion after a disappointing game. The reasons are pretty obvious but to some, inexcusable apparently. Nothing less than a 3-0 or more win is acceptable. So many whinging and whining English. “We want a trophy…!” FFS, get a grip.
First of all, dont apologise for not being positive when the situation doesn’t warrant it! It’s OK to call things as you see it! Second I think most fans would agree to focus on the cups but the ownership would never prioritise a cup over the finances that top 4 gives them.
Sonny, it all harks back to what I said all the off season.FIVE starting level EPL experienced players needed to come in but only ONE came.As well as Wilfred Oh, a kid from a relegated team who started half a season.Nothing against bringing the young players in but ya cant coach experience!!!...the crap recruitment window is rearing its ugly head!
Sloppy is the word to describe how we played against Roma and Fulham, we have gone back to Angeball instead of playing properly like we did against Man City. Slow, Southgate football. 😡😡
Ange might have some sort off a way against some top teams that keep on playing there normal winning ways, but come up against struggling midd to bottom teams , there's no counter game plane , like Spurs are clueless.
@ just leads to apathy as you feel like what’s the point? We know how well we can play. Yet today to get outplayed at home by Fulham and only draw a match in which Fulham were reduced to ten men. And then we will hear same old excuses. I believe in Ange. We have seen what full flowing Ange team can do but if we continue with performances and inconsistency like this then the cynics and haters may well win out.
@@SonnyTalksSpurs right now my choice would be Iraola if Ange was to go BUT I hope that Ange can get things right. Just tired of the inconsistency. As the good times and good football promise so much only for it to promptly fall flat in the next week
Angeball is far too predictable Im afraid. Ange wants Spurs to run for 90 minutes, putting maximum pressure on the opposition and creating turnovers. That is Ange's answer to "controlling games". Once teams can play out of Spurs' pressure, maintain a good team shape which reduces counter attacks and can move the ball well... then Spurs becomes useless.
@@SonnyTalksSpurs Not just with your weaker team... your adaptability as a team is too limited. Ange has 3 main tools that he wants to use. Its why we heard him say "We never stop" when coming in. 1. Ange wants his team to press teams everywhere on the pitch to create turnovers. The idea is to create chances at that moment but also use that tactic to wear down the opposition. 2. Ange wants his team to build short and create spaces in behind in this way. Once the gap is found, or the player in possession loses his marker, the idea is to attack that space frantically... to take advantage of the chaos created and likely player marking mismatch in place. 3. Ange wants to use possession to create constant chances, with prepared attacking routines and constantly running at the opponent. The key theme here is CHAOS. Attacking the opponent and creating consistent chaotic moments to destabilise the opponent. How do you deal with this? Number 1 is to REMOVE THE CHAOS. This is why teams like Fulham, Arsenal, and other teams who can slow the game down, control and move the ball well make Spurs look so average. Number 2 is to turn Ange's own chaos against him and his team. Ange wants to always attack when the chance arises, even if it means the rest defense either isnt switched on enough, or organised enough. This is how punish Spurs brutally because they dont have enough in defense to defend the ball if they lose it while attacking. Think Newcastle, think Brighton. This is why Ange will not be good enough to win the biggest prizes until he adds more to his game. Allows Spurs to not just look for chaotic moments, but also learn to slow and speed up the game when it is needed. Ange constantly wanting to PASS IT FORWARDS is more a hindrance on his ability to build a strong, consistent team than he thinks Im afraid.
We are paying for a coach , that is that much out of his depth. It’s now laughable. What top coach drops our best player. If kulu starts we win. But this joke of a coach can’t see it !! He’d rather play bisouma a shocking player, instead of kulu . Son has clearly gone, yet he now exposes him, as a striker . He’s never been and never will be. Man Utd are back, Chelsea are back. With this joke in charge, 8th place is the best we can hope for. He has a game plan when playing city. Yet no game plan whatsoever, when playing palace, Ipswich or Fulham and Roma. Clearly it’s the coaches fault. Why not admit it.
What did you make of the game? 😩 SUBSCRIBE NOW!
Another totally professional performance from Timo Werner. He always gives his best. Now showing his value to the squad.
Maybe he stays

Ange said, "I'm just copying pep mate!" well, it's time to copy whatever Arne's doing then, cause he's doing pretty well
haha

he needs so much more
@seanlynch1185 we sadly live in a world where people expect immediate results and success and no one can wait for things to improve
That is true
Our squad is nowhere near the top teams. We definitely need more depth but more experience players.

Why didn’t Ange start Kulu ? This was partly on Ange.
I assume he’s shattered - but he’s so clear out best player atm
@@SonnyTalksSpursalong with Bentancur and Sarr
would love to see gray start as the 6. just cant see it happening anytime soon ange would rather leave spence out and play gray as a RB/LB.
I would like to see a little change in those departments - I guess with the injuries it could be risky

Not a surprise, so not too disappointing. This is just who we are now. The squad is also Ill-equipped to compete in all fronts.

extremely
Win nothing with English players even less with English managers how many English players do Liverpool play 😂
A good few
Always concede at leat one goal.
yeah when dont do clean sheets
Maybe we will sign Pep tomorrow?🤣
I’d take that
Hahah
I'm not serprise
Haha whys that

They didn’t have their best games
Absolutely pointless winning 4-0 at Manchester City if we follow that up with two pathetic results.
