Your reaches are getting worse.
Ubisoft: It can't possibly get worse
Narrator: It gets worse
People need to learn to stop saying that, the universe takes it as a challenge.
Murphy's law: *"Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."*
I said it ironically so nothing bad will happen - Emperor Palpatine.
These people are actively searching for innate things are making them into bad things - stop falling for this trash tier reporting.
The game isn't even out yet and they're already talking about dlc, we desperately need a second gaming crash to happen.
It has happened where you been? You seen these studios? Lmfao
We are still in the middle of a crash. Give it some time. Ubisoft's turn comes this year, most likely.
What are you talking about? A lot of games come out with a dlc or have already a dlc in making 😂 ubiflacid still sucks though
You know UBI they break the game up into smaller pieces to sell off later. But they think giving it back free it will make millions come back to buy Shadows. But even the DLC they couldnt name without ripping off someone elses title. The whole reason they delayed was to scrub all the stuff from Japan they used without premission.
I don't think thats specificly a ubisoft thing...
But ubisoft have been pushed in a corner where the game was supposed to be out already so their entire timeline is messed up.
How does a game that hasn't even come out yet have a dlc?
it's bullsh1t. Also I don't pay for incomplete games
It's been "normal" for over ten years.
Because they'll take out content from the main game, and use it as DLC for later.
Called cut content that can be wrapped up as DLC
I feel like R* Games have been doing this for the past 10 years with drip feeding content.
Haven't seen a company mess up this bad since Bethesda with fallout 76
What’s worse, THE GAME HASNT EVEN COME OUT!! 😅
Can't wait for Internet Historians video on 'The Fall of Ubisoft'
Although that video name will actually be accurate
fallout76 is a massive success compared to this
Even F76 B.E.T.A. can't compete this! 🤣
Bioware and Obsidian have a Ubi-Bethesda tendency.
It never dawned on me that UBISOFT has a Japan division... Why on Earth aren't they developing this game??? Montreal though? Really?
cos woke probably.
I can't imagine how insulted they must feel. Part of me wants to feel sorry for them, but part of me also says "that's what you get for working for Ubisoft."
Have you considered they were given the option and declined because they wouldn't want to make the game Ubisoft was asking for?
@ sounds like eu ubi would have dev'd it regardless if ubi japan had a say. this is an eu company we're dealing with.
Probably because the Japan office isnt there for main engineering. Its probably a sales and partner engineering office, which is a common pattern with international satellite offices. They usually dont have the headcount to take lead on large projects.
Considering the "inclusive" people's blatant bias against asian people (even calling them "white adjacent") and their cultures in general , i can’t help but think that the laziness and disrespect (which there’s a LOT of now) here is targeted and malicious.
Perhaps they should feel comfortable losing money.
They wish Asians werent so successful. But no, too many Asians have a functioning culture with values that makes them successful citizens in a meritocracy...
But that doesn't look good for the woke crowd's "white boogeyman" and "institutionalized racism" propaganda...
The whole Mar 20th is a slap in the face to them. Not that they were going to buy it from the release of the first trailer they decided UBI wasnt for the Japanese.
@ I've actually read a whole bunch about Aumu Shinrikyo and even I didn't remember that the subway attack was that date. So I think that's just an honest blunder.
@sophiasfavorite9646 Its a possibility but a couple of the upper management have said so what to Japanese men being killed for supressing women and who cares if they buy it, they wasnt the target audience. But I could see the date being an oversight even though some said that bc it doesnt stand out in history as bad as the unibomber or a few other terrorists attacks.
@@sophiasfavorite9646who gives a shit
Did you see the new AC: Shadows poster where Yasuke is hidden away. It like the Chinese Star Wars poster where they hid Finn. lol
How can I search for it? I'm curious
Yasuke must be hiding in the shadows. It'll be hard(r) to find him. 😉
They did not... Fr? After they hyped him up so much?
It's practically as impossible as what Disney did with the little mermaid remake.😂
Finn also "disappeared" in poster release in the united states. Don't believe me? Go search for poster sales on starwar. There were so many version of starwar posters with and without Finn in it. There were posters of starwar with Finn in it used in China. Don't believe me? go search for it using baidu. But then again, what can we expect from people who consume "the truth" from westerner source.
Noo ur just really blind if u do t see him in the middle of the poster
Tencent workers who sabotaged it even further so they can buy the stocks for 10 cents:
1:24 CORRECTION: They used to make billions of dollars. Now they just lose billions of dollars.
bahahaha, you aren't wrong. Seriously who loses 10 billion in 4 years?
Ubisoft: We really need this game to be a success, the entire company is riding on it
Devs: We are going with a main character no one wants and lock weapon types behind a paywall at launch
They just can't help themselves, huh? I'm seriously starting to think there's someone working on the project who wants to sabotage the whole thing
large scale sabotage, not even limited in gaming industry
The person hiring talentless devs would be the one given ubi insiders have said the majority of devs barely know how to program but can list every pronoun in a second
No it's just the DEI hiring that has let the company down.
The same company that stole the flags from a reenactment group from Japan.
Meanwhile the ccp invading every country
I hate it when DLCs are revealed before the game even comes out. Cutting content to sell it later is NOT cool and to do it that blatantly is so incredibly irritating. The Pokémon Company has been notorious for that the last years.
Ubisoft doing it just proves what disgusting pieces of human waste they are.
Pokemon's were literally always like that...From the very first games...
@kikixchannel you mean the exclusive events and the 2 versions of the games? Yeah that crap was also evil
This game is cursed.
Not the game.
The company management.
More like the devs are incompetent.
@@JoxerTM22AC games are repetitive
Answer: all of the above
@@JoxerTM22 both of them cursed
Is it just me or shouldn´t DLCs be something extra after the game already released? Not something they took out of the game and is ready at release of the main game
Sadly, far too many people accept it by purchasing not only the game, but the DLC afterwards that those greedy fucks arent going to stop pulling that shit.
They planned to release the DLC at a later date, it’s not intended to be launched simultaneously as the main game.
@@danielnam9026 exactly, so they take it out of the game for a later time to get more money out of the content which was ready at the main launch. It´s just greed and disrespect for the players at it´s finest
@@danielnam9026yeah normally dlcs should not be planned ahead of the game launch, it should be developed after the game has launched or else it would just be selling an incomplete game and then selling the missing chunk for more cash grab. So ubisoft is screwing over it's costumers even more than they already were.
@@Chadow_baseno, thats silly. Main game design and logic usually gets completed far before release. The time after that is spent on polish and performance. Not everyone on the team is needed for this less strenuous work, so they transiton to future content like DLCs and other projects.
Planning out DLC ahead of time helps with development since you can leave room in the logic, gameplay, story, and merchandise for the additional features. It would also be used as a pitch for the initial game itself as additional and sustained revenue in order to get the green light to begin true development. These games take massive investments, so they need a very well thought out plan in order to earn those investments.
You are a bit naive to how business and development works.
Ubisoft screwed something up?
In other news, THE SKY IS F*CKING BLUE!
And it's a day ending in a Y
Regarding the reenactment group case, the last news was that they are waiting for the book to release and will sue after, because it's a stronger case if the product is already released than if it's still in production.
100% chance the devs googled the character and found the indie game then ripped it off cuz they hired a bunch of idiotic gen z-ers whove failed at every step
Oh yeah, for sure this new crew they have are lazy bunch of liberal activists with no creativity. The whole Thomas Lockly and Shu thing on Wiki was tied to two Ubi devs that know them personally. It was a cover sham over a little small details on a slave in Japan. But Thomas got his book to sell over this con job.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, it got MUCH WORSE
I'm guessing most people have never even heard of a place called Awaji? And somehow, by pure coincidence, Ubisoft and the indie studio are both making a game set in that place specifically? You would assume someone at Ubisoft would actually know what they're doing at least 5% of the time with all these controversies. As for me, I'm now assuming everyone at Ubisoft knows exactly what they're doing and all these controversies are done on purpose. To offend Japanese people and gamers
More confirmation Ubisoft won't get out of bankruptcy? Popcorn time.
DLC before release? More like cut content and ripped off elsewhere on top. I disagree with the bad look for them tough, they have done way worst already during the dev cycle of this game
I still think it's odd that the protagonists are samurai in this game and that was a bad idea from the start. It really seems so elementary in a game that has" assassin's" and "shadows" in the title, that I question their ability to get dressed on their own. I guess it's just more more bad decision in a long line of them, right from the start.
Ubisoft remove the mention of Yasuke being a samurai on the Steam Japanese page, they replace it by Ikki Tousen which mean something like "great warrior".
It's literally mean "the one who can defeat a thousand".
The term "ikkitousen" (一騎当千)originally came from China from the Buddhist term "ichinin-tousen" (一人当千), and as japan became more warlike, a version with "人" (man)changed to "騎" (cavalryman) was born. In medieval Japan, its meaning, "Samurai on horseback with a force equal to a thousand cavalrymen".
Since the real Yasuke most likely could not have ridden a horse, the term is not appropriate for him.
Ubisoft really knows Japanese language and Japanese history lol
Ubisoft is its own worst enemy.
This is the result of not hiring based on merit. Not an ounce of talent here.
I mean if it ends up literally being a copy paste plot of a indie game, that really shows that these narrative writers really aren't creative at all, which is so obviously true since they are activist dirtbags just writing crappy storylines let alone copying them like seriously I'd rather play a actual good samurai game like that new indie one that came out being called i think spirit of the samurai and it's a way better representation of Japan then this schlock
Why is there a dlc already? Did they cut out content to sell it as a dls on day one?
Of course! It's Ubisoft.
Japan has 260 inhabited islands, and they didn't even bother to pick a different one when they copy+pasted the idea.
What’s worse is they’re planning to release this on March 20, which is Japan’s unforgettable t***orist attack.
Gamers - " Well Ubisoft cannot screw up worse than they already have"
Ubisoft - "challenge accepted, hold my beer"
Omg Ubisoft… they should just cancel to save face
They literally can't at this point. Way too much money sunk into this game and their various flops in the last few years to be able to do anything besides release it and hope they recoup enough...
And from rumors, they know they won't so have already started planning for bankruptcy.
UBI tries to avoid making the stupidest mistakes: mission impossible.
Reinactment flag..... Zoro's Sword from One Piece...... Warlord Awaji....
The Devs are screwed, there's no way this is coincidence. Once may be a mistake, twice is a problem, three times then it's deliberate.
If only they made those three mistakes...At this point I think they hate Japan and probably see whole Asia as one(because of some Chinese structures and fem mc has Chinese instrument so we don't have even a Japanese protagonist and at this point Ubisoft is making fun of two real life tragedies
By now, I don't think anyone would be surprised if we find out that Assassins Creed Shadows, the entire game, is plagiarized once it comes out. That's if it comes out.
Dude, did they do ANY work on this title???
Of course Ubislop is caught ripping/stealing something AGAIN. They have no creativity or originality left.
Is Ubisoft trolling us? WTF
I still can’t get past the first step of we play as an assassin and having a samurai makes 0 sense. If this was Nintendo they would be over them like a dog in heat
I can almost see the management meeting approving this :
Dev: “at last, we are finally going to set an Assassin’s Creed game in Japan, so we can use the most famous assassin group ever!”
Execs: “yes! We will have samurai! Diverse samurai!!1”
Dev: “wut- oh fml”
I would not be surprised if they leaked something accidentally because Ubisoft does not hire people who know what they are doing. I would not be surprised if they stole the expansion for the same reason.
Its so wild to me that they have dlc on a game not even halfway ready to be released.
Ripping off has always been Ubisoft's MO anyway.
Desperate situation make the stupid decision, but we talk about Ubisoft the most stupid dev ever.
how far back into ubisofts history do we need to go to get to some old games that we can play without feeling guilty?
Anything from black flag back is pretty good. I'd emulate rather than pay ubi though, they keep full price dlc and don't sell definitive editions for their old games anymore, ie say you want to play dragon age origins with all the dlc, set you back 90$ bucks it's ridiculous they really milking that nostalgia to the max
@@rustyshackleford1062 damnit
why in jesus name an unreleased game has dlc already?
No way things keep happening to this game like this 😂😂
Dlc for unreleased game lol ubi is on my blacklist forever. AC series is dead to me since AC4.
I just want to know why Ubisoft hates Japan so much? 🤣
"Ubisoft Japan... not the ones making [weaboo Assassin's Creed]"
This quote explains it all
Dlc should be announced at least a year after the official if not 2 years. Dlc should not carry sales for a game. Rdr2 should've gotten an expansion dlc because it deserved one. Yet it didn't get one, gaming companies literally act like dlc is a must
I don't know man, all this situation with AC shadows is becoming so hilarious, like you always think it can't get worse but ALWAYS something bad comes up, every single time, every single week.
At this point is just so funny, like there's nothing that Ubisoft can do good with this game holy shit man 😂
Not even released yet and it has DLC. That is a reason to never buy an Ubisoft game.
Why, Ubisoft? Why do you keep doing all these things to yourself?
That game is beyond cursed its condemned to the pits of hell
ubislop can't die fast enough. 👽
How did it get leaked? With all the leaked emails and insider info lately, you can be damn sure some dev leaked it on purpose.
Ill have soda and a pizza ready when AC Shadows flops
It's like Ubisoft has watched that videotape of the movie "The Ring" on slow motion. So instead of dying in 7 days, it's taking them longer
Getting closer to destruction
This game is going flop hard and I cant wait to see it 😏😏Ubisoft aka Ubisoy is a total joke at this point.
Do they have plans on suing?
You cant make this sh* up
That dlc description sounds a bit like Ghost of Tsushima's Iki Island :v
Hey beauty Vara, at least Ubisoft is making people laugh.
To be a fly on the wall inside Ubisoft.
i'm too old to even be surprised by bad things
but hearing how the can't hide it is something that still brings me smile
so thank you and everyone else
Ubisoft are still left with the option of not selling what they have stolen. If they still have respect for creativity.
at this point they may just surrender themselves to other company that will buy them
When you use AI as ideamaker and scriptwriter instead of actual people, you have to do something about it.
Actual people are expensive so I guess... Let's nick something, eh? Noone will notice.
must be another day that ends with Y for ubislop to be taking another L
-Murphy's- Ubisoft's law: If there are two or more ways to do something, and one of those ways can result in a catastrophe, -someone- Ubisoft will do it that way.
Hope Shadows looses more money then Skull & Bones.
I heard some creators was sent to ubisoft for an play tester event I think just recently for shadows . Does anyone know anything on it ? Curious what the game is hitting for .
I’m waiting for them to announce a DLC where the assassins go to Tsushima Island and help fight against the mongol invasion.
People are still going to be playing kcd 2 and monster hunter wilds when this game comes out no one’s going to give two shits about it.
and once again, the world turns on its axis and another minute passes to the end.
day seriously have day -30 DLC
What’s crazy is even if it was just another AC game, there’s no way I would’ve played it with all the other games coming out. It still woulda been another stale AC game like all the latest.
honestly the fall of Ubisoft needs to be studied so it NEVER happens again. like HOW???
Even though Jim Sterling lost the plot for the past 8 years he's "Oh Ubisoft" catchphrase was well used.
There's some chick on the AC:Shadows team who did more research choosing her kanji tattoo than the whole team did for the game during development.
I'm shocked the dlc isn't about the aftermath of Nobunaga's death. They're "inspired" by history so I'm curious if they have the balls to address Yasuke's IRL fate or maybe they'll pretend he's more legendary than Musashi
Don't forget that Ubisoft outsourced their work to Indonesia for cheap labour. If the rumours are true about hostile work environment and mistreatment against employees, yeah Ubisofts leadership need to step down.
pirates in that part of the world is not unheard of as there's historical evidence of it. but will see how they implement it and my guess it will be bad.
This little indie studio is really going through it. Someone should give Ubisoft a hand.
When was the last time Ubisoft had any news that wasn’t straight-up bad?
I know its (foolishly) more accepted that triple A companies hold back content in the main game for DLC release, but it ALWAYS looks slimy and greedy when its revealed they have plans for a DLC before the main game is even finished. Its pretty low for a developer/publisher to do that kind of shit because it tells everyone "We don't care about you or respect you, and we're going to nickle and dime you as much as possible".
Regardless if its cut content, or them not focusing on the core game first by starting development on 'extra content' NOT going in the core game, it says the same thing.
I hate making "back in the day" arguments, but man I miss when developers would just cancel a project like this after it's long become clear it's going to be an abject failure. Blizzard cancelling Star Craft: Ghost comes to mind, and that wasn't even due to controversy, they just didn't feel they could get it up to a quality they themselves would enjoy playing.
I feel like games are like songs. No one owns an idea or a game category and games are going to be very similar to each other it's just the nature of a very dead industry with everyone copying each other to make as much money as possible and not giving the players what they want which is the norm at this point but is still rejected by so many including myself and is why I just stopped playing modern video games and went back to Gears of war on Xbox 360 uno when games were good and actually fun.
At this point Ubisoft can rip off GTA for all I care, they are dead to me. At this point I'm just sitting back and watching that ship sink. My prayers go out to the developers, I pray they're able to find jobs that appreciate their skills.
Man as an AC fan i feel sorry for this game. Just can't seem to catch a break.
At this rate, Ubisoft should just cancel the game and take the plunge.
it just keeps getting worse......Ubisoft is manufacturing L's at this point.
Is this the polish they were talking about?
Well Ubisoft doesn't know how to make entertainment anymore but it is certainly entertaining to watch them dig even deeper grave for themselves.
These guys have severely let me down. Assassin's Creed has been a very important game for me since 07. All these years later and I'm happy enough with mirage but the others aren't really ac games. And now this one is a hard punch in the you know what
the release date is gonna hurt it in more ways than one and now we have this ROFL just cancel it already ubisoft
Imagine being a AAA company working on a beloved franchise, then find out that the company plagiarized a fucking indie game
That's very sad
