I definitely have a lot to say about this video and the story line of the whole thing. I’ve been dancing for all my life now, and I’ve seen body shaming in real life. I was kind of little back then so I didn’t ever really know what that was. So anyways, there was this one teacher and she was so strict and our studio wasn’t a competitive dance studio, just a recital, and this girl joined my class and my teacher told her to move into the back so nobody had to see her . She was absolutely so mean for me now but back then, I just thought it was a moving adjustment, so I didn’t really care. Later, after it was class, I talked to her because she was crying in the girls restroom and she was an awesome person, she was so nice and caring and I ended up being friends with her still now. I later moved into a way better studio which had no body shaming at all! Hallelujah! But, it is really sad that there is still people out there that body shames people. It is such a terrible thing, and it doesn’t matter how large they are, it’s how they are on the inside. So, thank you for making this video and I just wanted to tell my story! Love your videos!

Hey people out there :) This video was very, very inspirational for me, but not because I am overweight or I really want to become a dancer. Well, I guess, its the exact opposite. I am underweight, and get bullied because of it by girls and boys older, younger and my age. Every day, I was humiliated at school and people would always call me skeleton and draw stick-man drawings and stick them onto my back or onto my locker. For days, I wouldn‘t want to go to school and if I did, I only wore long sleeved shirts and baggy clothes in general. This video, and genuinely all the videos of you, Dhar Mann, make me feel more worthy and I think, through your videos, I‘ve gained self confidence throughout the months and years. Now, I would say I‘m confident and whenever someone laughs or makes fun of me, I just smile and don‘t let these comments get to me. Thanks a lot and honestly, I am more than grateful for particularly this video and generally for videos, which have bullying as the main theme.
when I was younger I was body-shamed a lot, so I became anorexic, then the body-shaming continued. I was already going through so much and I developed an addiction to cutting.
they just want to put you down cause they know you gonna prove them wrong. to this day I'm still trying my best to gain weight, and it's been officially a month since I last self-harmed. I don't know if dhar Mann or anyone would be proud of me, but to everyone out there reading this: thank you. you are loved, and I am so proud of you. now keep your head up cause everything will get better in the end, trust me. even though things seem difficult right now, they will get better. I always keep telling myself that I can do anything I out my mind to and I am a queen. I am confident, I am classy, and I am fierce. Thank you Dhar Mann for making a video on this. You have no idea how much this means to me and all the happy tears I cried! And to those out there that struggle with their weight, just know that you can do it. I'm also a plus size dancer so I can really relate to this video so much.

I think there was a point to not saying anything at that particular point. People can stand up for you. That's a fact. But it feels even more greater and powerful if you stand up for yourself and prove the world wrong. The point to this was: don't stand for negativity. Believe in yourself and achieve the impossible. No necessarily, dancing requires a certain body shape for fluidity, flexibility and elegance. Strong abdominals keep you balanced as well. In Dhar Man's videos, there's a pattern of unrealistic goals and expectations of determination and a "dream", it disregards hardship and unhealthily capitalises on reward. That's what I dispise about his videos. Though, I condemn bullying and "fat shaming", a promotion of unhealthy eating and unrealistic expectations enables dangerous ignorance.
