HII jacob,i am currently going through a painful break up and your vides for some reason have been helping to keep me relaxed and feel refreshed..im not from usa so watching other people from different communities live their lives is kind of refreshing😁😁
Loving these videos ! Started back from the beginning, following your journey. True inspiration from one software engineer to another! Still got some catching up to do 😆but enjoying every minute of it 😃
Watching this a bit late still an excellent video as always, super glad that you have been posting so regularly... again video idea for u - when and how to switch jobs when is the right time, what jobs you should look into ...Thanks Loads of love to hermy!!!
I've been following you here on TH-cam, and the videos are amazing. I'm a programmer here in Brazil and will soon start applying for jobs in NY, so I'll be there soon!
I started watching your videos when you only had 1k subscribers or more, I continue to watch you until now because there are times when I feel down thinking about when I will become successful in software engineering because I have difficulty getting into jobs since I didn't go to college. Afterward, I'll just watch your videos and I'll get hyped again, I'll get inspired, I'll feel more motivated to study coding, that's why I always keep track of your videos because I get ideas from what you do or your projects, how you stay productive, how you set up projects. Congratulations on reaching 25k subscribers, I'm a big fan of you ❤
It's exciting to see all the code lines and the stack you use bc is the same I'm immersed now on my side project, makes me wanna contribute to the app hahaha
Great videos as always Jacob! Appreciate the fact you explain the work you do with great details. Congratulations on 25k subscribers can't wait until you hit 100k I'll be following along the journey!
A hint: Scald the paper filter before pouring the coffee, this greatly improves the taste. Do a test, scald the paper filter and after it has cooled, drink the water and you will see how much it tastes like paper
Hey man question! I'm working with a similar stack, have you managed to share your back-end types (after generating them with prisma) with your front-end app? Or do you just re-define the types in the front-end? I haven't found a clean way to automate this type-sharing yet and was curious if you have a solution :) Cool videos dude and congrats on the 25k!
gr8 vid, small improvement suggestion. Maybe use a screen recorder for the clips that your referencing what's on screen, the camera movement during 8:12 is hard to watch. Road to 100K LLETTSS GOOOOO
You should also add a dislike button to counteract bots/paid posts. Just saying from a user perspective if I test the app out for the first time and the first place I go to based off number of likes on a post is bad I’d probably just jump back to yelp cause I’d feel like I can’t trust the recs on finds
How do you like NestJs, I’ve been using it at work and I have mixed feelings. My only issue is it’s super class and decorators heavy. I prefer a functional paradigm.
Brother I am confused i need some Advice i am upgrading my laptop i want to Switch On MacOS but in My Budget i can only Get a 2018 Macbook pro 15 inch but People Told me they are not Worth it and Faulty So Suggest Me should i get that or Go For something Else. Thanks Brother
Hi Jacob, I have two years experience like software developer and I'm studying software engineering, I am working in my second enterprise with AWS and I'll get the practitioner certificate. ¿I have opportunity to get a job like software engineer? Yep! I always auto generate types from my backend so that everything stays consistent. Use swagger code gen

Aint a 16 inch MBP better if you don’t have an external monitor? Or are you going to use a monitor in the future?
Depends if you like it bigger. I personally like the 14

why you don't use a monitor for coding, I remember that in the last video.
I prefer laptop these days
I do miss the microwave coffees

im just going to throw together a "food app" so i can deduct going out to eat as a business expense for the rest of my life

Are you going to open issues/tasks for the Finds repos for us to contribute to, open source Finds maybe ?
Maybe!

Just go for whatever you can afford.
When are you adding monitors to that setup or a stand at best? Looking down at the screen looks strenuous 😂
I kinda like the simplicity haha
Awesome Video
Great video tho i want to ask why not also release on android?
I like to focus MVPs for one audience first and then move ahead rather than juggling multiple at once 😁
Just curious, do you usually do git merge if you're behind a few commits, or a git rebase instead?
Mostly rebase. Keeps commit history clean.
Up and coming dev here loving the content specially music selection is fire! May I have the name of the song at 3:43?
Honestly not sure! We just use a ton of songs from epidemic sound 😂
non-stop Jacob, i really like your videos, put your strava profile link hahaha
