Me and my sister loved her very much, and we had her for years 😊. We played with her so often she eventually stopped working 😂. We still have her blanket which we pull out whenever it's a bit colder in the basement living room. Her legacy lives on in my house for sure ☺ !

I remember how popular the newborn puppies and kittens were with me and my sisters and cousins. They captured the likeness and cuteness of newborn animals better than any other toy I've seen. Everyone else - including modern Fur Real Friends - seems to use highly stylized cartoon babies as their reference point instead of actual babies, and it just doesn't trigger the "must protect and cuddle" instinct at all. Also, Go-go and Squawkers were both so fun. The latter somehow survived all these years in a closet and I got to show her to my niece and nephew, who had a blast making her copy the things they said.
Lol having my selling demo footage being here caught me off guard a little haha! Gogo from my video is still for sale since no one seems to want her sadly even though she's very cute. I never had many furreal friends only the little small kittens and puppies where you pet them and they wag their tail. Im also kind of sad they always seem to changed realistic looking toys to cartoony 😔 like I dont mind the beanie boos but for webkinz & furreal friends I liked them cause of how semi-real they were

The early 2000s also pushed more of a preparing for the future angle, and eco/conservation, which maybe because I'm not a kid anymore, but I don't see when passing by the toy aisle, which again shows more of a general "what sells the most?" angle rather than "what can kids learn from this?" which really sucks given how many issues have arisen with lack of appropriate tools, and even small things like toys can alter the narrative a bit
@@inner-lynx5732 that’s an interesting perspective I didn’t think of! I can definitely see that. & I agree I was never really a fan of the more stylized look either…felt almost “too childish” even though…I was a child lol
Had Biscuit for about a week. I loved him, he was the best Christmas present I’d ever gotten (up until then ofc). But he started malfunctioning, nothing bad, he just couldn’t perform tricks properly and would sit, stand and lay down basically whenever he wanted lol. My mum wanted to take him back. I don’t blame her now, because I can only imagine the money she spent, but I fought HARD to keep him. I didn’t care that he couldn’t do tricks properly, I didn’t mind that when I went to bed he’d be laying down and when I woke up he’d be standing. I had no choice in the end though, but she did promise I could pick out something else for the same amount. I ended up with a robotic Pinkie Pie in a tutu (gen 3), I loved her, but she wasn’t the same as Biscuit. My childhood heart still misses my Biscuit, even if it seemed like he had some sort of sentience lmfao
awww 🥺 I probably would've fought to keep him too tbh. Maybe someday you can find another Biscuit C: (Also the Pinkie toy you mentioned, I want that sooo bad 😭)
This bringings back so many memories! I had the golden retriever FurReal (the small one not the big one) and I still loved it even when the batteries died, I think it was because it looked so much like a real dog to child me.
They should change back I’d love the realistic ones back because it’s more realistic and it would make playing and taking care of them more realistic then what it’s now or they should combine them making the pet toys more realistic like cute and realistic they should and I think we have the hamster toy it was white and blue with a pink nose
i remember seeing someone playing with the white cat thats sitting up at a yard one time and i absolutely needed it i begged my mom for it but she didnt end up finding that one so i got the lulu cat for christmas instead i was a little disappointed bc it was laying down bur i still absolutely loved her and was so happy and i still have her on top of my closet just chilling there
@ OH AND I HAD THAT SKATEBOARDING DOGGO. I think FurReal made it? I had it back in like 2015-2017 so it's been a hot minute. (it was like a white doggo on a pink skateboard and it had a paw-shaped controller where you could like make the skateboard go fowards or backwards and even spin in a circle)
I saw videos of Biscuit being on the shelves again last year. Updated packaging, but the dog is exactly the same. It surprised me that they didn’t make a big deal out of rereleasing one of their most popular classics. I’m thinking they probably had some overstock they needed to get rid of.
When I was seven or eight years old, I got a baby parrot one as a present for a language test score and I still remember that my aunt got it from a kinda popular school supplies store from our town where they used to sell some Hasbro toys and, as Furreal Friends weren't that common nor that accesible where I live, most of the oldest employees from this store still identify as the "parrot gal" to this day :)
YES!! finally someone talking about these! i adored furreal friends as a kid, i was a 2000s kid so i lived through their golden age, n was PRIMED to fall in love with them, i was just like you, OBSESSED with any virtual pet things i could get my hands on. that being said, i only ever owned ONE furreal friend, as getting any more would have been way too expensive for my family. it was a white tiger cub i got for christmas, and unfortunately i did have the exact same experience you described, at first so in love with it, did all i could, found all the ways to interact and then... it dawned on me. this toy was nice, and cute, but i could not find myself playing with it that much more after the first times. it was sad because i had dreamed of owning a furreal friend for so long and fantasized about what it would be like, and its not like it broke my expectations, but i guess i never had considered what it would feel to actually own one and what happened when the interactivity ran out. i also desperately wanted a butterscotch pony lol, but now i thank my parents sanity in not only not spending insane amounts of money on it but also thinking about how impractical that thing would be to store. either way seeing what theyve done with the brand definitely saddens me. i dont think its impossible to say that kids nowadays couldnt like more realistic pets, first of all they havent tried, and second of all, it feels like one of those cases in which the market itself is so preoccupied with competing and coming up with more weird and exciting ideas it auto cannibalizes itself into an ouroboros of increasingly strange rebrands. so i dont think it is even kids wouldnt like them, its just that they havent been given the chance! i also feel like it COULD be possible to strike a balance between going for more realistic looks and keeping some fantasy elements, like what stops them from releasing buttersotch again but with white fur and a horn on top? nothing! but as stated before, brands now seem to believe that the more cartoony, sparkly, weird and eye catching you are, the more you will sell, and that being down to earth is a liability.
I’m so glad someone else understands my experience with this! I always felt so guilty as a kid if I didn’t fully enjoy a toy that I wanted. I agree with you! I do wonder if they released the original FurReal friends style today how that would go with kids! I think kids in general really like the experience of having their own pet so it might feel even more real to them than the cartoon style they’re now use to!
I remember begging for (and receiving) the 2003 GoGo My Walkin’ Pup. I also remember my parents thinking this was ridiculous because, in 2003, we also adopted an actual, alive, for-real Maltese puppy.
Totally forgot I had the baby tiger furr real friend! Loved that thing so much. I do remeber making my parents stop in the local Walmart so I could pet Butterscotch for as long as theyd let me.
NOOOO I can't believe you called Biscuit creepy!! I had him as a child and I don't think he ever woke up in the middle of the night! He was very cute and my absolute favourite
I had way more of these than I initially remember. The original cat, 2 newborn kittens, love cub panda, and I wanted that pony so badly. I always asked my parents for real pets so they got me Furreal Friends
Also want to give you a thanks for your video about forgotten dolls of the 2000s because of it a remembered that I had the Kelly Love n Care Doll when I was little. I now have her again. 🩷🎀✨
FURREAL WIKI MENTIONED! I'm so proud to have joined that wiki and contribute to its growth! I've been a big fan of FurReal Friends since I was a kid, even now owning and loving a varitable "zoo" of them! I still have my childhood Biscuit, along with Cuddles, Cubby and Starlily - my favorites, just to name a few. I agree, some of the latest FurReal toys don't have the same magic as the ones of old, but pets like Cubby and more recently Cinnamon, My Stylin' Pony bring a little magic of their own! I'm not too sure about the Just Play era though. By first impressions, they have a long way to go before they get to Tiger Electronics' level.
This brought back so many memories for me. I remember seeing the Chimp in commercials and wanting it so badly. But I did have the newborn piglet and protected it like it was my child - seriously. Adult me is super curious what these "high tech" toys cost back in the day. Especially the more life sized ones like Butterscotch.
I had the piglet too bc one of my friends didn’t want it anymore so I took it & I loved it! 🥰 also I think they were all pretty expensive at the time especially Butterscotch 😵💫
I LOVED FurReal Friends growing up, I think I had a couple of Furry Frenzies, a bunny, a chimp, and a chipmunk at some point! I think some of the newer ones are cute, but they're not my style. Some video Ideas: -ZHUZHU PETS!!!! I love those things, I still have my hamsters stored somewhere, I think it would be cool to hear you talk about the pets, toylines, and fandom -Tamagotchi and Virtual Pets in general -Furby -iDog
I had biscuit and I loved her. I remember we also had the new one of the newborn pups and one of the newborn kittens and then later for one of my birthdays, my classmate got me a gray bunny for real friend
Wow, I loved it when the Butterscotch commercial would come on! I had zhu zhu pets but gave them away because I quickly got over them, but I still have my 3 FRF toys today.
Every so often I go on a Butterscotch rabbithole, I always wanted one so bad, but I did have a Zambi elephant that I played with pretty much every day til he broke, I loved that thing, but I always wanted the massive Butterscotch and still do. It's awesome seeing someone finally go down the FurReal Friends rabbithole, ive always wanted someone to go into it. I've always loved animals and robots ever since i was a kid, so FurReal friends fit two niches for me. I remember going into a Tous R Us recently and I was so disappointed to see barely any shelf space for FurReal, but also the quality of them was so low. I hate the new style personally too, half the appeal was thag the toys were so realistic
For Christmas 2003 I got GoGo My Walking Pup. I was so excited when I opened it but then we put in batteries and she started moving. 5 year old me was horrified! Mom had to return it because I wouldn’t touch it. My step mom had a FurReal monkey I remember see in commercials of but like GoGo I was scared of it in person. It wasn’t until the Dress And Dance Dora two years later that I got over my fear of animatronic toys/dolls.
@@twilightozzylovelyrockocip8222 it’s so funny the things that scared us when we were little & we look back now & we’re like why was that so horrifying 😭 I definitely had toys that freaked me out like that too!
i remember i had one of those kneading kittens as a kid! these days, i have one of the modern furreal friends toys- 'rex' the dinosaur, in my big collection of toy raptors :)
Giving a kid a dragon is not making them think "pet ownership". When you give a kid (or a dementia patient) a realistic cat, it reinforces that this is an animal that needs your love and care. There's a difference. I wanted Butterscotch😭
Toy collector here! I have a few corrections to make. I’m not trying to create arguments just debates. 5:12 I have this dog. On the bottom of her it says 2011. 9:37 Just Play and Hasbro remade Biscuit in 2024. Biscuit is available at Costco.
When I was little, in the early 2000s my sister got a Robo Dog as it was called back then. We wanted a FRF but sadly it was too expensive and our grandma said no. We were so heartbroken back then. I remember how envious I was of any kids who got a chance to buy these hype-realistic pet toys. But now we have the real thing and I love my poochie so much. 🥹
@ Yes. I take such pride and joy in my beautiful furry baby. Honestly FRF were a perfect way to teach kids back then how to care for real pets. I may not have had one, but that instinctual pet care remains even in my adulthood.
Yes!! 😂😂 I remember the funky eye dancing robot thing!! There were SO many in thriftstores when I was a kid lol Well, these are super nostalgic to me❤❤ I had the chimp baby, the parrot, the happy meal toys, and I think the duckling at some point. I distinctly remember my brother and I “skinning” the baby chimp’s rubber face off out of either pure curiosity or downright evil… 😅💀 I’m a parent now, and I can say for my kids, they really don’t mind either way. They love cartoony animals a lot, but they also love the realistic toy pets too. I got them a realistic puppy toy for Christmas and they love it and treat it so gently. It’s really sweet. I do think there’s a difference in affection between the realistic toys and the not realistic. For instance, I’ve never seen them chuck the realistic puppy at a wall for fun, or seen them leave it on the floor like other toys. Maybe it does help teach kids pet care when they look real?
That’s a really interesting thought! I never considered that with the realism vs cartoon style. I also saw some FurReal Friend skinning videos on TH-cam while I was researching this topic 💀
Omg!! I remember i had the lamb and the chipmunk as a kid... i also remember really wanting the squawkers parrot but my mom refused because quote "it would never shut the hell up" as if it was a real parrot and not a toy with batteries...
Y'know I heard somewhere that realistic plushies & dolls are good comfort items for people with mental problems, especially old people in the range. I first discovered this when I was walking around CVS during Mom's coupon phase when she'd talk to the cashier for ages, and near the stuff that they use to help with everyday life there were a few lifesize cat plushies on the bottom shelf; They looked a lot like the realistic-era cats. I immediately wondered if said people enjoyed that to feel not-so-lonely. I actually learned that when reading comments on a Bojack Horseman clip, funny enough. Maybe some of the realistic-era pets as thrift finds in good quality (online or from stores) could be nice options for anyone on a budget? Also in relation to the Simba: That first unicorn was reskinned into Princess Twilight for the G4 MLP movie. Look at her movements, she's no joke just a talking Starlily lol even I noticed that
I used to have the chimpanzee, the duck, and the green and red parrot. I always wanted the butterscotch, and biscuit but my parents never got them for me cause I assume they were expensive at the time (probably still are expensive).
Hi i love ur videos they make me so comfy 🩷 Do you think you could make a video about little animal toys from the 2000s like Lps/Animal Jam/Puppy in pocket or Mlp/Filly or anything u remember 🥺
As an adhd adult who buys these things for myself n for my channel, I honestly like both versions of interactive pets. The hyper realistic n the more fantasy like. The both do different things for me mentally n emotionally n for my adhd needs
I got myself a Hatchemal for my birthday in November n then a newer furby for my husky for when I leave the house. So far of the interactive pets I've gotten they're my favorites. As they do the most. But I love all the ones I've gotten so far. Cnt wait to buy more
My interactive pets definitely cnt take the place of my real ones. They're entertaining. But nothing cn replace the love n warmth of a real cat or dog. I have 7 cats (I used to b a breeder) n a service dog for mobility. I don't see a robot being able to do what a real animal cn in regards to their souls n their very real capability to love. A person w dementia may b able to confuse a robot w a real animal. But that would b impossible for someone w a fully functioning mind who spent real time as a real pet owner
I didn't have any of the toys mentioned in this video- but I did manage to find the animatronic bunny I used to have while growing up in the late 2000s "Milky The Bunny" - a Flair Emotion Pet I always assumed she was a FurReal or a Little Live Pet, but I was clearly wrong 💀
I had and still have one of the 2003 puppy's, I got it back then on Christmas because our real dog passed away and the pup toy looked a lot like it. It made me really happy at the time, and also ended in me not wanting to give it away ever XD it aslo still works ! Just looks old by now
As a blind person the only thing i notice about the new FRF is that the animal sounds aren't realistic. Butterscotch had a real neigh but they released another one recently made a little horse with a woman actually saying neigh and it just sounds bad. I don't have any frf but i have a metacat. The metacat was released by elephant robotics but that has real meow and purr sounds
Oh! Hi Christopher! You are talking about cinnamon the stylin’ pony or whatever she was called. Yeah. She had a woman going “wee he he he he he he he!!” instead of a majestic, beautiful horse neigh. It’s terrible.
I know which one you're talking about, and I personally don't mind the voice! The trade-off of losing the realistic sounds is you can now give these cartoonish toy animals some cartoonish personality, and Cinnamon has that in spades!
My other friend had the really small pony she had baby butterscotch and magical shield pony. In 2013 I wanted that little monkey from that year so bad I thought it was just so cute. I was obsessed with that monkey and I wanted it so bad.
I had a large blonde pomeranian one (i *think* it would've been the 2003 walking pup version but idk) we got from a yard sale & a lot of adults would comment they thought it was a real dog but i'm sure people were just humoring child me lol
Hey Maia! Do you remember Wuv Luvs? Those were also robotic pets and the wuv luv would produce a little wuv luv from the early 2000’s! I had the blue one from Toys R Us!
Omg i just looked these up and im surprised i dont remember these! They look so fun, I’ll definitely add them to my list to talk about in a future video 🩷
Personally, I prefer the more realistic designs. However, as I did grow up with them, I believe that nostalgia plays something of a role there, though not entirely; I seem to gravitate towards more realistic designs 9/10 even outside of the toyline. As for whether children would like the 2000s toys/the style, I would imagine that it'd depend on the kiddo, but I cannot say that I've really kept up with popular toy trends amongst children.
I remember when for real friend did that change changed their logo and then change their name it’s just like difference but you can tell. I remember when they came out with think his name is JJ the jumping pug and I remember the dragon I remember wanting those two so badly
I loved FurReal Friends when I was a kid! I had the original cat (grey/white one with a grey face) and a newborn kitten (grey/white), and they were my favourites ❤️ I called the cat Misty, but I don't remember what name I gave the kitten (it was maybe Oskar...). Later I also bought the bordercollie dog even though I really didn't play with it (but it was on sale and I had wanted it previously). I'm a bit sad Hasbro changed their style so much, I mean their point was to look realistic... Every time I see the newer ones in stores I wonder why they changed so much. (I'm sure the reason is money/sales, but still... I am sure kids would love the old designs as well.)
It was cool to see how much they changed. I honestly forgot that they used to be realistic. Robot pets weren't my thing, but out of all of these I prefer the old realistic ones, especially the cats and bears.
I had a few for real friends, but not butterscotch. I had a family friend, but we do not know each other anymore who had butterscotch I never realize they were spoiled brats because they had a lot more nicer stuff than we did as a military with family with low money that couldn’t really get anything nice like that . We had to save up for months just to get something nice like that with three dollars a week one of it going to tithing it’s only two dollars a week for doing chores.
I still have Cookie my playful pup as well as two Gogo my walking pups, the 2009 one. Reason why I owned two Gogos is because I had 1 and my little sister had one. When she didn't want her Gogo anymore I took her in as my Gogo, who I named Lady, as Lady's sister. I named the one that my sister give me Carly. I also had a FurReal friends brown puppy who I named Brown Chuck. As well as Trixie my skateboading pup. My little sister, Carly's former owner, had the white cat seen at 11:18 who she named Snowball. Another edit to add: 17:37 I had that dog! As any kid who wasn't good at keeping with her toys poor boy broke his leg and tail. I was a monster to my toys and pokemon cards that I had at the time. The only plushies that survived my childhood were Lambie, Teddy, and Honey, three plushies that was a lamb I kept stealing from my big sister until she give her to me, Teddy is a giant bear that I used as a pillow, and Honey was just a plush dog that I cut all of her fur off.
i HATE the "beanie boo-ification" (as i call it) of most stuffed animal/animal toy nowadays and greatly prefer a more realistic/less stylized look. It seems to have taken over the entire toy aisle! I know I definitely preferred more realistic toys as a kid too. I hope we can one day have a return to the older style. I don't know. Maybe the kids like the creepy, huge eyed type.
I did't hawe one of them when i was little girl but they are absolutly ciute back off the days I wonder how do dey work and how are been made? I had blue Iz Zizzle Happy Meal toy
I still have a pillow pet till this day, though I am trying to give all the attention to all my toys when I get my own place and take them all with me.
I love Furreal friends!! Never really owned one until I'd eventually be able to buy one for myself last year. I personally kinda like the newer ones (they're cute imo) but I understand why some ppl wouldn't.
I was a grown woman when they came out, but as a toy lover I was disappointed when Fur Real and Littlest Petshop stopped being realistic. I think the modern cartoony look lessens the ability to teach responsibility that some of the earlier ones had.
I didn’t even think about Littlest Pet Shop too! & I could see that…it felt like the earlier models were more like toy “pets” to take care of vs the new ones that are more just like “fun toys” if that makes sense!
Ohhhh, I’m excited 😂😂 I hate the new “O face” dogs! I miss the cute baby chimpanzee furreal I had when I was a kid! 😢 lol me and two other siblings had that one.
Ah Furreal friends! I had a few as a tiny elementary schooler n loved them all to death! Somewhat literally.. Since I was also a kid who often destroyed or broke their toys- I broke the jaw of a laying down beagle-looking one by constantly shoving things in its mouth to "feed" it ;-; Little me was a bit of a psycho lol- Tho I'll forever love Furreal friends for bein my first robotic pets
I had a furreal friends kitten that was gray.and a brown furreal friends new born puppy that was brown. Yappy and sassy.but there was a furreal friends toy I never had but mom couldn't afford or find it and that was go go my walking pup.my Grandpa sure was fooled by the furreal friends kitten toy indeed but I happened to have both real and toy pets when I was little and now as well
Maybe you could do a video about toys from movies. Like there was a walk and talk Babe the pig 🐷 and Scamp from Lady and the Tramp two. Also you could do a video about all of the Sequels of the 2000s Like the Little Mermaid or Peter Pan 2

I wonder why they were branded more as a girl toy than a boy toy
For the same reason they brand baby dolls as girls only

Boys like to nurture animals also tho
Boys also like to nurture animals tho

i remember seeing someone playing with the white cat thats sitting up at a yard one time and i absolutely needed it i begged my mom for it but she didnt end up finding that one so i got the lulu cat for christmas instead i was a little disappointed bc it was laying down bur i still absolutely loved her and was so happy and i still have her on top of my closet just chilling there
Aww so sweet! :)
LOL. I had 2012 GoGo! The nostalgia of these toys is insane XD
Right! 😭
@@maiafaithtalks the fact that half of furreal friends toys are forgotten such a shame they worked hard on them and this is what they get?
The best way I can describe this change is, basement with a brown couch and carpeted floors to white tiled bedroom with pink and teal curtains
I saw videos of Biscuit being on the shelves again last year. Updated packaging, but the dog is exactly the same. It surprised me that they didn’t make a big deal out of rereleasing one of their most popular classics. I’m thinking they probably had some overstock they needed to get rid of.
Wait whaaaaat!? That’s crazy I had no clue! I saw there had been a remake but I thought it was another stylized version of him?
When I was seven or eight years old, I got a baby parrot one as a present for a language test score and I still remember that my aunt got it from a kinda popular school supplies store from our town where they used to sell some Hasbro toys and, as Furreal Friends weren't that common nor that accesible where I live, most of the oldest employees from this store still identify as the "parrot gal" to this day :)
That is such a cute story omg 😭🦜🩷
I have so many of these! Great memories and video❤❤
Thank you!! 😊🩷
I had a butterscotch. I asked for that thing EVERY SINGLE DAY after i saw the ad on TV. My parents got it for me, for Christmas when i was 10
What an iconic Christmas present 🥰
I remember having Lulu the cat, tiger the cat, Butterscotch the horse and Gogo the dog as a kid
All amazing ones 👏🏼
YES!! finally someone talking about these! i adored furreal friends as a kid, i was a 2000s kid so i lived through their golden age, n was PRIMED to fall in love with them, i was just like you, OBSESSED with any virtual pet things i could get my hands on. that being said, i only ever owned ONE furreal friend, as getting any more would have been way too expensive for my family. it was a white tiger cub i got for christmas, and unfortunately i did have the exact same experience you described, at first so in love with it, did all i could, found all the ways to interact and then... it dawned on me. this toy was nice, and cute, but i could not find myself playing with it that much more after the first times. it was sad because i had dreamed of owning a furreal friend for so long and fantasized about what it would be like, and its not like it broke my expectations, but i guess i never had considered what it would feel to actually own one and what happened when the interactivity ran out.
i also desperately wanted a butterscotch pony lol, but now i thank my parents sanity in not only not spending insane amounts of money on it but also thinking about how impractical that thing would be to store. either way seeing what theyve done with the brand definitely saddens me. i dont think its impossible to say that kids nowadays couldnt like more realistic pets, first of all they havent tried, and second of all, it feels like one of those cases in which the market itself is so preoccupied with competing and coming up with more weird and exciting ideas it auto cannibalizes itself into an ouroboros of increasingly strange rebrands. so i dont think it is even kids wouldnt like them, its just that they havent been given the chance! i also feel like it COULD be possible to strike a balance between going for more realistic looks and keeping some fantasy elements, like what stops them from releasing buttersotch again but with white fur and a horn on top? nothing! but as stated before, brands now seem to believe that the more cartoony, sparkly, weird and eye catching you are, the more you will sell, and that being down to earth is a liability.
I have mixed opinions on the newer ones, I find the lifelike ones are much cooler
I feel the same!
Totally forgot I had the baby tiger furr real friend! Loved that thing so much. I do remeber making my parents stop in the local Walmart so I could pet Butterscotch for as long as theyd let me.
That’s so cute omg!! I never saw a Butterscotch in the wild 😭
@maiafaithtalks the Walmart had it on full display. It was magical ✨️
Amazing video!! It needs more views
@@hellomanul aww thank you!! So glad you enjoyed ☺️
I remember having that full size biscuit and it was the best thing I ever had since I was too young to have an actual dog.

Childhood memories! Thank you 🙏 for making this video!
I’m so glad you enjoyed! 🥰
NOOOO I can't believe you called Biscuit creepy!! I had him as a child and I don't think he ever woke up in the middle of the night! He was very cute and my absolute favourite
I remember the commercial for Biscuit. The song pops into my head at random moments 😂
They were such catchy commercials!
I had way more of these than I initially remember. The original cat, 2 newborn kittens, love cub panda, and I wanted that pony so badly. I always asked my parents for real pets so they got me Furreal Friends
Aww those are all such cute ones to have! :)
I never had one, but my grandma did. She can't have pets, so she had a little Fur Real puppy she jokingly said was her puppy.
How cute!! ☺️
Also want to give you a thanks for your video about forgotten dolls of the 2000s because of it a remembered that I had the Kelly Love n Care Doll when I was little. I now have her again. 🩷🎀✨
Aww yay I’m so glad!! :)
@@silhouettoofaman2935 omg that’s awesome! That wiki helped me so much 🩷 I can definitely see the newer toys having their own special qualities ☺️☺️
Some video Ideas:
-ZHUZHU PETS!!!! I love those things, I still have my hamsters stored somewhere, I think it would be cool to hear you talk about the pets, toylines, and fandom
-Tamagotchi and Virtual Pets in general
-Furby
-iDog
@@NumNumsGlasses completely fair! & yes those toys will definitely be on the list :) 🫶🏼
Aww that’s awesome! Biscuit seems very popular 🥰
I had butterscotch and I loved her I played with her nonstop
@@avarand9601 so cute!!
I have a couple of them the white walking cat, the newborn Dalmatian puppy, the chipmunk 🐿️, the McDonald’s toy puppy, and the Burger King toy pony.
Aw so cute!! 😊
Giving a kid a dragon is not making them think "pet ownership".
When you give a kid (or a dementia patient) a realistic cat, it reinforces that this is an animal that needs your love and care.
There's a difference.
I wanted Butterscotch😭
I feel that 😭
I had the pig and the duck!! Actually only got rid of them a couple years ago or so and they still worked at that time!!
So cute!! I loved the piggy 🐷
I had butterscotch and the tiny butterscotch …. So wonderful. The big one broke but the little one is still in perfect condition.
Omg love that!
@@maiafaithtalks hi there! i saw a clip of the yoga donkey (that might be what it's called) commercial and its technology is cool to see!
Toy collector here! I have a few corrections to make. I’m not trying to create arguments just debates.
5:12 I have this dog. On the bottom of her it says 2011.
9:37 Just Play and Hasbro remade Biscuit in 2024. Biscuit is available at Costco.
Oh interesting! The wiki says 2009! I wonder if it was rereleased in 2011? It’s crazy how many times they remade that one!
Aww happy ending 🥹
@
Yes. I take such pride and joy in my beautiful furry baby. Honestly FRF were a perfect way to teach kids back then how to care for real pets. I may not have had one, but that instinctual pet care remains even in my adulthood.
I had a ginger and white Walking Kitty as a kid and she really does look like she’d seen some things 😅
Hahah their facial expressions were sending me 😭
Yes!! 😂😂 I remember the funky eye dancing robot thing!! There were SO many in thriftstores when I was a kid lol
Well, these are super nostalgic to me❤❤ I had the chimp baby, the parrot, the happy meal toys, and I think the duckling at some point. I distinctly remember my brother and I “skinning” the baby chimp’s rubber face off out of either pure curiosity or downright evil… 😅💀
I’m a parent now, and I can say for my kids, they really don’t mind either way.
@@nostradoomus lol that’s so funny! The chipmunk & lamb were super cute 🩷
I had a grey and white newborn kid in it, which I called Sophia, and then I had a white walking kitten which I called Sophie.
Look at her movements, she's no joke just a talking Starlily lol even I noticed that
That honestly makes a lot of sense! I can definitely see them bringing people that comfort. & that makes sense ab the MLP!! 🩷
I had butterscotch but I also remember a like grey schnauzer style of scrapy
Man, I was in high school in 2002. I feel old
Iconic time to be in highschool 🩷
I used to have the chimpanzee, the duck, and the green and red parrot. I always wanted the butterscotch, and biscuit but my parents never got them for me cause I assume they were expensive at the time (probably still are expensive).
Yeah that’s completely fair 😭 those are great ones to have tho!
Hi i love ur videos they make me so comfy 🩷
Do you think you could make a video about little animal toys from the 2000s like Lps/Animal Jam/Puppy in pocket or Mlp/Filly or anything u remember 🥺
Thank you for watching! 😊 omg of course, that’s a great idea I’ll definitely add that to the list 🩷
I can see that for sure!
I didn't have any of the toys mentioned in this video- but I did manage to find the animatronic bunny I used to have while growing up in the late 2000s
"Milky The Bunny" - a Flair Emotion Pet
I always assumed she was a FurReal or a Little Live Pet, but I was clearly wrong 💀
Omg yeah I’ve never seen Milky the Bunny before 😭🐰
@maiafaithtalks Oh awesome!! I was going crazy trying to find him (I was wrong with calling it a girl also 😭) again!
I remember in 2010 my friend her stepsister had a whole beanie boo collection
I had and still have one of the 2003 puppy's, I got it back then on Christmas because our real dog passed away and the pup toy looked a lot like it. It made me really happy at the time, and also ended in me not wanting to give it away ever XD it aslo still works ! Just looks old by now
@@foxymkartDJMM omg that’s so sweet 🥹 crazy it still works too!!
Oh I didn’t even think about the fact that they would change the sounds too! Does your metacat have a name? 🐱☺️
Oh! Hi Christopher! You are talking about cinnamon the stylin’ pony or whatever she was called. Yeah. She had a woman going “wee he he he he he he he!!” instead of a majestic, beautiful horse neigh. It’s terrible.
@ yes it was ridiculous. And I think the monkey into 2013 at a woman shrieking.
@ jamie :)
I had the 2009 GoGo as a kid! Loved her and would walk her around the house. My real dog did not like her very much lol
Lol I can imagine 😭
I had a large blonde pomeranian one (i *think* it would've been the 2003 walking pup version but idk) we got from a yard sale & a lot of adults would comment they thought it was a real dog but i'm sure people were just humoring child me lol
Ah yes. Back when Fur Real Friends used to be Fur Real. 😅 Not a fan of the new look. May as well change the brand to Fur Toon Friends instead.
Yea
Okay so true actually 😭
I love the original so much. I remember even my aunt wanted one because she couldn´t have a real pet.
Aww that’s so nice!
I can definitely see that!
I thought so too! It would be interesting to bring back the old designs & see how they go!
I literally don't remember what FurReal was, I kind of pondered that it was a Furby styled, toy lol.
Similar vibes!! Lol
I had the parrot, horse and chimp ❤
All icons 🩷
I heard there's been issues with newer models where they won't work at all like the T-Rex
Aw shame 😭😭
It was cool to see how much they changed. I honestly forgot that they used to be realistic. Robot pets weren't my thing, but out of all of these I prefer the old realistic ones, especially the cats and bears.
@@e.d.t. I agree!! 🩷
I had the grey pop and cuddle bunny
I had the chimp as a kid.
The chimp is iconic!
You could call her…Lady Gogo 🫢👀 …I’ll see myself out🚶♀️
Love all of your toy names! Brown Chuck is amazing lol 🩷
@@maiafaithtalks I just call her Lady, like Lady from the Disney movie Lady and the Tramp.

i HATE the "beanie boo-ification" (as i call it) of most stuffed animal/animal toy nowadays and greatly prefer a more realistic/less stylized look. It seems to have taken over the entire toy aisle! I know I definitely preferred more realistic toys as a kid too. I hope we can one day have a return to the older style. I don't know. Maybe the kids like the creepy, huge eyed type.
Yeah I think it would be interesting to see if it ever goes back & if it works with the kiddos today!!
