Man TPCI be taking some crazy inspiration from early sun and moon for these new archetypes. First budew, mirroring trashalance hype, then trade zorrark, and now Geotech System Metagross along with an energy recycler reprint?? What a time to be in standard
Considering his Metagross runs Metal and Psychic energies, I'd expect his next two Pokemon to be Aggron and Claydol (maybe Skarmory??). Unfortunate that his Armaldo and Cradily are unlikely to make it (especially since they evolve from fossils). Seeing Battle Partners' full arts (up to 4 per Trainer excluding gold cards), I think Aggron would get a full art too, with Metagross getting the SIR.
I really hope for a good skarmory, since Aggron would be another stage 2, and since the carbink and stadium maybe the skarmory could be a good one prize tank. Claydol could be good too since its a stage 1, but the deck needs space for either an engine or a lot of supports.
Kinda feels like Creatures is backpedeling on the 1 shot meta (Hop the exception) since we have really strong effects like Iono's belibolt with lighting rain dance punk up on Grimsnarl Night Joker on Zorowark all of them are really good in concept but this weaker damage cap feels to me like a shift to a slower game hopefully shame that it'll take 2 rotations for those effects to be felt because why play a 2 shot deck that has to set up evolutions when you can play raging bolt Hop's or miraidon where you can just blow anything up
Even in the orignal ex era there was strong basic exs like Lugia ex that could ohko anything. The trade-off with those decks is that the attackers are more fragile, and they typically don't run off the board nearly as well as bulkier evoluton decks while also requiring a lot more turn-to-turn to keep up. A variety in decks is a good thing.
i think the morpeko is worth playing, because you could set up a turn to one shot with double grimsnarl which seems reasonable to pull off with the stadium
why cant we just get all this stuff in both i am so sick of the waiting a few months to play with the current meta game that is in ahead of the english sets
dauschbun ex sounds a little busted in metagross deck now that you can consistently search energy from the deck and play them. losing the energy doesnt sound like much of a downside with energy recycler. use prof turo to put dauschbun ex back into hand when you need to
Love how Japan gets these in a deck with playmats, coins, and guaranteed illustration rares and we only get them in a booster set. I hate the English TCG. We never get ANYTHING cool
Morpeko paired with mochi and pech ex/brute bonnet Grimsnarl charge to 220 +40 mochi, 260 + 10 poison = 270 + attach = 310 if you’re lucky play a karate man for +40. Even further perilous jungle +20 more adding up to 370. Without supporter for turn you can Turo grimsnarl. You can also just energy recycle for all the energy back in your next turn when knocked and you can buddy poffin or stretcher. It’s not really unrealistic if you think about how terapagos/klawf or even Archualadon is functioning.
@isoldmymumforrp5371 True, but Garde is losing a massive amount of consistency next rotation while this deck is already coming with consistency from a stadium that fetches any marniemon you want, while also being less fragile overall
@@isoldmymumforrp5371 there is a combo but what I’m saying is this combo has been working for two meta decks in format so it’s not an unrealistic achievement by any means
I think Marnie's Morpeko is kind of being underrated? It's a lot like Drifloon where you have to put a lot of focus into it, but it forms a basic OHKO machine that your opponent doesn't want to have to chase down. And yeah, it does require a lot of energy, but lets put it this way, Grimm only needs 2 of the 5 energy, so you can attack one turn with Grimm, power the Morpeko up on the bench, pop another Grimm and attack with Morpeko with 8 energy attached, and you're suddenly doing 340, and your opponent has to respond to it or die. Granted, Dusknoir should be able to shut it down but the fact they had to waste a Dusknoir and give up a prize just for that is pretty big I think. Not a tier 1 deck but i think it's honestly pretty solid
@AzulGG I can hear the sound bouncing off a wall, but it isn’t bad. It sounds like you are in a room, but not in a padded studio. I am a bit of an audiophile though.
""The new meta is gross"
"Metagross... I like that name"
Say that again

now all we need is an actual Trash garb reprint
With Steven's Metagross coming out, I am REALLY PRAYING for a Steven's Aggron (even better if it's an ex too)

Aggronnnn pleaseee
Idc if this will be tier 4 or tier 1, ill use its deck cuz it's my fav pokémon
Same here
Was really expecting 'nose-picking Nosepass' 😔
Nah that's too predictable

They're is a tinkaton that deals 100 or 120 more damage if it has metal energy attached. I guess theres that
I’m excited to test out the metagross, also voice sounds fine

Sounds fine to me
I mean there is definitely a sort of "echo" but this is really cherry picking. i guess you could leave it like this.
A lot of the new trainers have good stadiums and items so i think tool jammer eill become a very popular general tech card
Thanks for this Azul
Dont think its too echoy, sounds pretty similar to your old setup ✌️
Metagross ex is basically Metagross GX

A tad bit more foam perhaps
Steve.

So its a xlong card combo, when you can just do the same in garde with loon or the one that can snipe.

Max potion reprint seems very possible
Don't think so,we have the dachbun from SCR and Max healing in modern format would be Broken with 330+ hp It would break the game
jfc pokemon is so boring lmao
