Yep, you can see it when the video starts, the audio starts before he starts talking so the video is a bit behind the audio but it’s just a little delay.
Merry Christmas!! Thanks for posting this little review! I received the record player a couple of weeks along with the Holiday Train set when I ordered the Loop Coaster! ❤👍 My grandaughter will get the Holiday Train which I'll help her build along with The Magic Of Disney set we got her for Cristmas. Nobody knows it! But: Santa's bringing the Loop Coaster! Lol! 💥🍻 i will also build that little record player & probably display it by my real turntable! Cool!!
I ordered enough retiring sets that were discounted last double points weekend so I'll be receiving this and the holiday train soon. If it wasn't for those other promotions, I probably wouldn't have gotten this. The record players I remember as a kid had clear lids that were tinted, so the clear pieces as part of this lid don't feel right. Thanks for your review.
Thanks for the nice review, as always! I am one of those (few) who loves when Lego replicates everyday objects (typewriter, Polaroid…) but then, for the magic to happen they must be very close to 1:1 scale. That’s where this set falls short for me - it’s a GWP, I know, 1:1 scale would be prohibitively expensive as a gift - but being so small, it’s just not my cup of tea! Keep up with your fresh approach !!!
4:05 nope ! It's also used in the nes set on the crt, so another retro thing ! Though mine has the markings silver, is that the case for the one in the record player ?
The RCA outputs are a nice touch! This set wouldn't motivate me to spend extra, though: a) all my sets this holiday season are from Funwhole, Cobi, Pantasy, etc. and b) I'd rather spend money to buy real music for my real turntable or CD player.
Seeing this, I do like the set, but at a $250 floor, it’s not motivating me to spend or push up planned purchases the way the Books Are My Passion set did get me to say “Okay, I was planning on getting some of this, some of the things in my wishlist are retiring, so I might as well just do this now”, but as someone who grew up on tapes and CDs, this doesn’t have the same appeal, even though it’s a good looking display set.
THis looks like a great set, but $250 is just too much. I spend quite a bit on lego, but the most i have spent at once is $200( for the globe, pre price increase, when i stacked 3 gwps) I have found myself making lots of my big lego purchases in the early part of the year, when the gwps (like the easter and chinese new year ones.) have reasonable thresholds. I suspect lego does this intentionally, because everyone is tapped out from the holidays. I really miss the VIP add on packs. They actualy incentivised me to spend money. For this, ill either bricklink it, or hit up my local bricks and minifigs (which sells them a la carte). For books are my passion, I approximated it with my own parts and one purchase of a few tiles from the abovementiond bricks and minifigs. That experience was a blast (and given that books really are my passion, having my sigfig in the set makes more sense anyway).
Calling them "gifts with purchase" is pretty cheeky on Lego's part. It's just a way to get you to spend more at certain times. And nothing is free in business. The cost of those sets is being distributed elsewhere. If it were a real "gift" they'd just throw something into your order without you even knowing about it or planning on it. But, hey, Lego is good at manipulating their audience.
A 1:1 record player would be great as a Lego Ideas item. I would buy that without hesitation!
Is the video/audio out of sync or is just me?

It's okay, it's just a Lego review 😊
I just wanted to comment about it being out of sync, then saw your comment. But to also say something positive: great video nevertheless. 👍
@@christophlohnherr It's okay. Since we discuss some little flaws, it might be good for TH-cam algorithm. Have a nice day :)
@@DallArtOrigins You, too. Thanks! :)

Good call. And my current one also has a smoke-tinted dust lid.
I got the record player and the holiday train as a gift for the purchase of the Endurance ship. $250 for the player? That's crazy, no way .
I appreciate LEGO offering GWPs that do not have any FOMO attached to it this season.
looks nice enough, much smaller then i imagined it was going to be. no great loss if i miss out.

I love recreations of everyday objects as well.
Would love to see a full size AudioTechnica record player set, would be pretty cool.
i honestly thought this set would be bigger from the pictures, cute set nonetheless - but not good enough for me to reach threshold
I have a shipment that should be delivered today, including this delightful little turntable. Very excited!
No way me too! I love this little thing

little is right didnt think it was that small!

I forget the brand, but I saw an MTV-licensed mix tape building block set at an Office Depot of all places. Pretty cool!
@ That is cool!
Dude wash your hands.

love the new background
GWP's arent worth it IMO
This time certainly it didn't draw my attention ;)
Its not a gift if you can't purchase it separately in the first place.

Dodgy audio while reviewing an audio product...nice.
😂
I managed to snag the Holiday Train on Insiders Weekend
It is now about $70 sold separately so yeah, hopefully it wont go down
Dude…
It a GWP…
Relax!
