I studied almost every single module in medical school differently, sometimes it’s not even the module it’s my mental state and what the outcome of the previous module was. Do what works for you and stay evolving. Can’t wait to have all of you on board 💕
This is so good! Changing my study method multiple times within the same year when it clearly wasn’t working was so difficult. I had to acknowledge that I was wrong and made a mistake even though I spent so long thinking about it and planning with it. In theory some things should’ve worked but in practicality they didn’t. It also feels like you’re taking steps backward. But that’s life I guess. It takes a lot of humility and wisdom to be sensitive when the wind of life changes direction and to not resist because “it’s always worked”
I think your roommate wasn’t ready to change his method since “it worked in the past” and he just couldn’t face the reality that it wasn’t working now with ANKI. You made really great points when you discussed it with him. Finding what study method works for you is a great thing! Hopefully your roommate will be more open to different studying techniques in less stressful moments
hahaha that wasn't to deface him or anything, he's honestly so smart anything works. but it's the whole practical side of it that always needs adjusting because taking care of yourself comes first in med school especially
I love it as always! Your thoughts resonate with mine almost all the time! I always tell the students I mentor that there isn't 1 method to do it and they shouldn't just repeat what I did because things were different then..... I tell them my experience and tell them what I think I did wrong. I always ask them to Explore as much as they can but set a time limit for that since there is such limited time and unlimited resources. I love teaching and tutor all of them for free but they always want to know what I did and just do that in spite of me spending all the time trying to understand their situation and modify my response. It sometimes hurts me to see them make the same mistakes as me even after me warning them. Thank you for posting this video Andy! Love your content :)
Bro honestly I switched to white board and marker for my neuroanat and neurophysio periods...like drawing them on a bigger picture with dr. Murphy explaining things on the side was the best experience of neuro I had 🙌🙌🙌🙌 I can totally resonate with ya bro!!!
my best strategy is study with other people and observe what they are doing, incorporate it into your study strategy if you think it works! it does take a little trial and error so i'm sorry that's not the prettiest answer in the world but you're never going to not benefit by working together with your peers. especially in med school everyone is so smart you can learn something by just being around them
@@NDMD I agree with that but I feel if you trial and error too much when will you have time to study the actual material so its better to be careful when trying to pick a study strategy I feel.

This video was truly genuine, your right, there is no perfect way when it comes too studying and it wouldn’t be fair making a video “how to study”...

First of all...I've never seen anyone successful go in Target and only purchase one item. 🤯
my questions is how do know what works for each material you get? trial and error? if so isn't that is kinda time consuming?
