Stipe went for the takedown to early, he had no choice in the small octagon it was that or be punched. In the big one he could move away and dodge. He waited for the takedown until late round 2 last fight which probably would have worked this fights but he had no where to move in the small octagon.

Ngannou has improved more than stipe. Ngannou hit stipe with both high and low kicks. Outwrestled stipe and took him down. Knocked stipe down with a jab, stuffed stipe’s takedown. And most mma fans still think Ngannou is a one trick pony.

I been saying this, all Ngannou had to do was stop the take down and fight smarter in the stand up and Stipe would struggle. Ngannou has a steel chin and hits very hard so you don't want to exchange with him too much. Landing the takedown was Stipe's only chance of winning.

Nah Stipe still getting his respect. At the very least, all the fans know what's up, all the comments sections were full of support for Stipe. The fans love him and call him the heavy weight GOAT so I don't think that will be he issue. The UFC has considered him an underdog pretty much his whole career, but I believe when he retires they will give him the respect he deserves. Definitely a Hall of Famer, there is a UFC Hall of Fame isn't there?
