Keeping tour group is kinda bait, your neutrals are 4 and 5 so they are reasonably hard to buff, you'd much rather have a second rock rock or a tethys for money. I think you should basically play like it is a normal rock rock game, but you keep a sindorei (and brann of course) the whole time.
I think he should've ditched the entire elemental line up in favor of Quilboar. Pokey + Chargla + Drakkari would have scaled the board much faster. In this game each blood gem gets 9x multiplication. That's 1k+ of stats PER TURN on EACH minion after your blood gems reach +10
Feels like there was so much lost potential trying to go for economy over just plain stats, had way too many non-neutrals on the board for 90% of the game. Best use of the eyes was probably one of the syndorei to run 3 of them instead of consolidating 3 neutrals into a single one. Only scaling needed was either the amalgam buffer from tiers or going for quillboar later, or just running rock rock, but running amal+rock+tethys was a huuuuge waste of stats. Wraith was also a waste. Had a Phaerix on like the 1st or 2nd turn of having this trinket too, but was too focused on economy to see the premium neutral minions. Basically, Shady was so focused on running a rock rock or amalgam selfbuff board he forgot that most of the units he was buffing weren't getting an almost 10x multiplier. Like, literally that unbuffed 3/6 panda would have had more stats than his rock rock on that early turn and the smallest of buffs would have pushed him further. Also skipped an early fungus. However, I understand that Shady was doing this for the first time and had never seen it done before, its a very different mindset from most any other build in the game and can be overwhelming trying to swap to that mindset. I place no blame on Shady for that, I'm just pointing out points of improvement for the small chance this happens again lol
Things like lantern are HUGE when you have fungus. at tier 6, a single lantern on a fungus with double anvil turns into +72/72 for 1 gold. Arrow is great too. Basically any stat buffing spell is huge when you have fungus.
That ending. I played a game with this token setup last night. It's really fun, to the point that I wish it weren't so difficult to get. But, as you say, you really have to shift your mindset. I recommend the neutral with the avenge that grants divine shield. It can scale quickly and protect your other gigantic neutral minions, and since it's a low tavern tier, it's easier to acquire quickly and scale up.
The other card that worked really well for me was the neutral that gives you a blood gem every time you play a Quillboar. I used that card plus Bram plus Quillboars to buff a largely neutral band of minions. You only need one buff spot and just play Quillboars to play the gems on the neutrals. Even a +1/+5 amounts to a +9/+45.
Fungus with double anvil is insane, cause you have 50/50 base stats through spells. X3 goes to 150, which become its base stats then you update the 50 of tavern spells making it 200 and going to 650 at the second anvil instead of 450
@shadybunny do you feel that battlegrounds is more RNG oriented now with the introduction of trinkets? I say this because it feels that winning depends solely on getting the right trinket, while the benefits of good card selection is at a minimum.
I think shady would probably agree with me, that the opposite is true. As the game becomes more complicated, doing consistently well is more skill intensive than before. Sure, winning when you get cheesewheel into a triple malcezaar into ur'zuul is very easy. But some people rack up 30% 1st places and 90% top 4. It's really the lack of skill resulting in not being able to recognize opportunities that makes the game appear all rng
@@elmosaarelainen9671 you are incorrect because 1/8 players will always get some ridiculous trinket combo thats nearly impossible to beat unless you have a great one yourself. i find myself winning only 1/8 times, but still placing in the top 4, where i used to win 25% of the time.
I had a really good duos game with this - I got a well wisher and golden version of the buddy with pass a card to make 2 copies of it. I kept making copies of my orcestra conductors with a Brann and was gaining like 300 more stats per turn pretty early on.
What I've always wondered: when you click to buy or sell a minion, do you keep the mouse click clicked, or do you click and click to release again? Especially in an apm game, I am wondering which one is faster.
Hi great game and comp, but if i may say one thing, you should have made the roller golden with the spell : u could have used it during that turn where you tried to golden the witch and plus u would have done it since the other one was already golden. I dont know for sure but maybe a golden shielded brumble would have made a difference at the end. Apart from that, nice combo
700 more until 50k! Ive gotten double anvil a bunch of times now, once when I had one neutral minion on board, a giant wrath weaver. I wonder if it prioritises stats over the minion classes, because I had 6 demons. The other game was a game where I had a brann and a bunch of neutrals off of ETC. Really fun game with saurfang buddy and a decently sized shop, where every buy was the equivalent of +270 +270 and a lot of golden phaerix
He needed a cycle slot and didn't want it to be the mech most likely because it had multiple accord-o-trons on it and wanted to keep it for another round for the money
@@DanielDaPonte-v9l 10x is really easy to math out, 9x is very close to 10x but people seem to treat it as closer to 5x. In the video Shady was surprised how big a 8/6 lightfang got . The math doesn't check out, OP's just saying 9x is pretty close to 10x. (although 11 x 9 is 99, literally only one away from 100, so it's kinda splitting hairs.)

One missed trick was shop buffing, as just getting neutrals with more stats by default works well with Anvil.

Agreed with this, or, alternatively, play more tier 6 cards just for the buffs. It would have been +3/+3 to the board for each tier 6 card played

typo in description, Nuetrals ---> Neutrals (I'm guessing it was by accident and not on purpose)
the irony of running lightfang in a comp with no types
If you want to go tour guide route you kinda have to buff oozes/demon red guy or a venomous spore since they are low tavern tier

Wouldn't an early-ish golden crooner be the nuts? It's being multiplied by 9 every time it goes up, even though it's not permanent

Why hold back on the sindorei on turn 10? it could be on the board instead of the mec to start scalling
