I'm 37 years old and have listened to you guys contiunesly put out authentic raw tunes since I was 13 years old. Thanks for writing how I'm feeling and playing the best live shows ever. Period.
Saw that line up but Sparta was closing and Thursday was the pre close it was a full day show... fuck I miss the Toronto scene from the 90's early 2000's.
This band literally changed my life. I felt like so much post-Nirvana music was a bland parody. I was in college, working a nothing job and trying to figure out what I wanted to be. I walked into a record store and saw a poster board with big bold print that read, "IF YOU LIKE FUGAZI..." and directly underneath was a CD (yep, I'm old) copy of Forever and Counting. I'll never forget when Translocation started, and I heard those 36 grit sandpaper voices simultaneously working against each other, but somehow producing a searing melodic hardcore harmony. That CD is long gone now, but I'll never forget how HWM restored my faith in music back then. And I still love 'em to this day.
I picked up a used copy of forever and counting in a used section mainly just because of the cool cover art and I had ten to roll the dice with. I remember putting it on while walking to high school and getting chills. I was hooked
And now we finally get that 36 grit sandpaper harmonious tug of war in physical form thanks to this video! I still don't want to be blinded...peace to you jayl1649!
He sounds incredible with em. Know hot water had been a band 30 years but I was always more a fan of the faster melodic punk growing up but have really come to enjoy the last two albums a ton
I wonder how many people have told a member of this band "thank you for saving my life" i know that I'm one of them.. Talked to Chuck in 2008 at the new years eve show in Atlanta for like 5 minutes and told him that there's no way id still be here if it wasn't for them... and he paused and looked at me and just said, "oh shit, damn brother, well, i know that i wouldn't be here without you" and I've been to about 25 concerts total but he gives me a what's up nod every single time they come to Atlanta.. at the 30th anniversary last month, between songs, he pointed at me and said, "I'm glad we're both still here, brother" Just the fact that he remembers me every time by name is just another reason why this band is the best band ever
Gentlemen. All i can say is wow! another incredible song! another banger! an absolutely beautiful artistic creation you've delivered us again. Thank you! HWM for Life!!!
Know what you mean forever and counting specifically just sounded so midwesty down home. Round the same era really was into doghouse records Chamberlain with their early records. Am partial to those sounds. In moonpies & no division those epic bass drum gentle cleans and song chorus sing alongs. Then they’re epitaph era kept building to what they are now, which is EQUALLY incredible so it either way Gratitude!
I really liked Feel the Void and think he injected some needed spirit, but these two new songs have a very Flatliners vibe to his parts. It sounds like two bands. Hopefully the album is more cohesive.
The addition of Chris Cresswell makes this band so OP. I love how his voice reminds me of Claudio from Coheed and Cambria. We're witnessing HWM entering a new era.
YEAH. Punk rock with deep lyrics that can heal you if you sing along, like the blues. Their music helps keep me healthy and hungry for whatever's the new what next in life. Can't wait to see them in June in Cali! HWM FOREVERRRRRRRR.
I’ve been a HWM fan since we’d go to house shows in Atlanta, Athens, and other places to rock with them. Now that we’re all old men, I can say the latest stuff is their best music ever (according to my opinion). Thanks for keeping at it all these years, boys!
Took my daughter to the nofx farewell show in Fort Worth. We got pulled on stage by security and goto watch the band on stage. There was a really nice lady back there and she was super nice to my daughter. Who's only 8. She asked me if i knew who these guys were. Had to look them up and I didn't know who they were. She said the lead singer of this band was right beside me. That's my introduction to the band as a 40-year-old. My daughter loves them, now.
Damnn.. I'm looking for the guy who comments down the song lyrics. No luck on that but here you go: Menace Lyrics [Verse 1] Shook down, aching to the core When ruptured powerless We'd see red to horizon If there were care left spare to give Sanity’s swinging on a shoestring Numb to epiphany [Verse 2] What gives in the dirty corners Call it will, call it anything Heartbroke and dreamin' in a backseat Living in a head, right in the skin Sanity's swinging on a shoestring When shots fired too easily [Chorus] Do we suffer only to recover? Coming up for air before the cycle takes me in Suffocating, aspirations fading Coming up for air until the cycle starts again Starts again [Verse 3] Wake up in another headspace All’s well and immediate It's high time to live a little easy And know who the hell we're fighting for Who's down to sever that shoestring? Who needs autonomy [Chorus] Do we suffer only to recover? Coming up for air before the cycle takes me in Suffocating, aspirations fading Coming up for air until the cycle starts again Up for air until the cycle starts again [Bridge] Go kill your menace deep in your heart Show some love and open your arms Go kill your menace deep in your heart Show some love and open your arms
I know good music when I hear it. This is not good music. This is effing AWESOME MUSIC 👍 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎶🎵❤️🔥💖💖❤️🔥💖 and, my favorite radio station just played it on air! 😊
Same! I'm so, so happy he's still in the band even though we don't get to enjoy his presence on tour. At least he was on the sidelines last time I saw them at Fest.
My brother had (and still has) the Punkorama compilations that HWM was on, but I can't remember them at all for some reason. But diggidy-damn, this single is hot like water music!🔥 Might have to backtrack and check out the entire discography.

To this day the best show I’ve ever been to was Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, & Saves The Day back in 98.
I saw them all at the El n Gee, New London, absolutely legendary
Holy shit what a lineup.
Wow! That sounds AMAZING!
Saw that line up but Sparta was closing and Thursday was the pre close it was a full day show... fuck I miss the Toronto scene from the 90's early 2000's.
Absolute banger! And Pajama Wollard is EVERYTHING.
Pajama Wollard for president!
@@BRAINDRAIN84 ☑️ 😎👍
Chris was such a perfect edition to the band. Hot Water is a top 3 punk band all time for me.
Damn this is good! Really loving the secret sauce that Chris Cresswell has added to the band.
Hot Water has been with me through so many highs and lows.
Absolutely love them. This song is a great of which more will surely come. LOVE IT.
Oh my god. This is just amazing... and it's their tenth record. One of the best bands to ever do it.

Menzingers are way better.
@@Fakewhack-st8fl and your mom’s the best. Top tier
@Fakewhack-st8fl Old menzies maybe, but these guys have aged better imo
I love this band so much
Whoah, Chris Cresswell's vocals add a lot to this. Love it!
Man…the album is legit. Having this lineup made them so much better and they were already amazing

Thank you! HWM for Life!!!
My therapist said I need to stop fixating in the pajamas Wollard. It isn't real.
The pajamas Wollard:
Been a fan since 1998. Altough their post hardcore phase was my favorite, they still make good rock n' roll for old bearders like us. lol

Oh my god Chris Cresswell is my spirit animal, and adding him to one of my favourite bands ever is paying dividends. Canadians make everything better!

He sounds absolutely nothing like Claudio.
@@AA-bh3bzIt doesn’t.
@@Tyler_Pifer92 Listen to the song he sings lead on the last record of HWM ("Turn the dial")
Im obsessed with Cresswell dancing with his snacks 😂
I think it's because we seeourselves in this moment.
Welcome back men! That sounds incredible!

Freaking love Crusty's voice.
The greatest band that ever existed.
It's great to see Wollard back!

One of the few bands on this label worth af
I think I'm going to be listening to this for awhile.
Can't stop listening to this one! Don't want to either.....
I'm smiling so hard rn. This looks like it was so much fun to record. Love HWM's energy 🤘🏼
One of the few true rock bands left.
Such a killer tune 🎶 these two voices fit so good on the melancholic agressivness 🔥
Absolutely amazing, but wouldn't expect anything less. Great job guys!
Can't wait for the Toronto show!!!
I'll see you there
Off With Their Heads, Quicksand, AND Hot Water Music!! It's a festival lineup in a dingy concert hall. Perfection!
This one goes unbelieveaby hard 🔥
Damnn.. I'm looking for the guy who comments down the song lyrics. No luck on that but here you go:
Menace Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Shook down, aching to the core
When ruptured powerless
We'd see red to horizon
If there were care left spare to give
Sanity’s swinging on a shoestring
Numb to epiphany
[Verse 2]
What gives in the dirty corners
Call it will, call it anything
Heartbroke and dreamin' in a backseat
Living in a head, right in the skin
Sanity's swinging on a shoestring
When shots fired too easily
[Chorus]
Do we suffer only to recover?
Coming up for air before the cycle takes me in
Suffocating, aspirations fading
Coming up for air until the cycle starts again
Starts again
[Verse 3]
Wake up in another headspace
All’s well and immediate
It's high time to live a little easy
And know who the hell we're fighting for
Who's down to sever that shoestring?
Who needs autonomy
[Chorus]
Do we suffer only to recover?
Coming up for air before the cycle takes me in
Suffocating, aspirations fading
Coming up for air until the cycle starts again
Up for air until the cycle starts again
[Bridge]
Go kill your menace deep in your heart
Show some love and open your arms
Go kill your menace deep in your heart
Show some love and open your arms
this is sick as hell
These legends have probably played in more basements than exist in their entire home state of Florida. 🙌🔥
I miss basement shows 😭
This could be their greatest flex
But no Florida dates on this tour!
so much love for this band!

Killer! Verses give me Jawbox-y vibes.
Loving this song
Killer melodies. Can't wait for this album!! Edit: full album dropped yesterday and it's GREAT. Their best album yet?
Didn't spot Wollard in the back and thought 00:06 was a bit of a portrait of the band at first!
Same! I'm so, so happy he's still in the band even though we don't get to enjoy his presence on tour. At least he was on the sidelines last time I saw them at Fest.
