This trilogy will always be my fav of tomb raider, they nailed Laras character perfectly in gameplay and design. Legend was my first tomb raider I fully played and while I've never finished underworld it's definitely the prettiest and went full next gen from the other two. I actually finished tr1 on PS1 after playing anniversary and loved it just as much as anniversary, the atmosphere just can't be beat! If these ever do get the remaster trilogy I do hope well see the dlc of underworld as it was only available on the Xbox 360 store until recently
The thing I adore about the Legend trilogy is that they didn't scrap what Lara's character essentially was when it got rebooted but instead expanded on the original Lara giving her a more complex story dealing with guilt and doubt she carries, this trilogy truly did amaze me and gripped me from the amazing voice work for Keeley Hawes, to the locations and the music. Sqaure Enix's Lara, they stripped her character completely and started fresh, doing this got rid of what Lara Croft is and instead made her into a female Nathan Drake which didn't even feel like a Tomb Raider game or Lara Croft
I started out playing "Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness" on the PS2, which I love, as awkward as the controls & mechanics were at times. Then I played "Tomb Raider Underworld" on the PS3, which was a very immersive experience & quite impressive on the launch PS3. In 2013 I jumped into the reboot, which was my GOTY for 2013, such a fantastic experience!
Even tho LAU isn’t part of the classics, I agree those games deserve a remaster asap (especially anniversary, it’s so boring graphically) I wish they also include Underworld’s DLC
@@trevormcdermal do not forget pc where they are drm free on GOG, not sure about steam versions (as some games on Steam are also drm free). Back in the day I had ps3 and I have a disc with this games (as well as working ps3 system). And while they do not look great I would say the ps3 version is OK even today.
I got into Tomb Raider when a friend of mine lent me Tomb Raider on the sega Saturn and i loved the game. Since that day I've always played the next Tomb Raider and so on. There's only one other game franchise that comes close and it's the uncharted games that i love playing as well. Legend is a favourite of mine.
The first approach to Tomb Raider I ever had were the classic PS1 titled, but I was very very young (3-5 years old), the very first Tomb Raider game I actually played and completed was Legend, and I hold it veary dearly. Due to that, right now it is very exciting for me getting to play the remasters, thanks to the modern controls, because they ressemble the ones in Legend, and it offers an amazing experience, it reminds me of the fluidity of movement from TRL, but the fun platforming found in the classic games. I get to appreciate all of the games in a different light.
"Tomb Raider Legend" I'm looking for currently for my Xbox 360 collection. I have the PS3 "Tomb Raider Trilogy", which has "Legend". It is one of the few games I have never played within the series.
Another great video! 🔟👏🏻❤️🤩 As an old school Tomb Raider fan, I really love this trilogy! It's my second favourite Timeline after all the classics. I think Tomb Raider Underworld is my favourite one from these three because I felt it had a mix of both Legend and Anniversary in a climatic and amazing bitter sweet conclusion. These versios of Lara are a blend of classic with modern interpretation, which is my favourite Tomb Raider modern version... better than the survivor trilogy!
I'm the type of tr fan who likes every tr games including aod,i started with legend trilogy the first tr game i played is the bad version of underworld on ps2,i did like it when i was a kid but it is an awful version of underworld,i'm glad that it Wasn't the main version of the game

The worst trilogy ever. Literally no replay value, boring as f*ck, horrible ai platforming, cheesy b-movie plot and short mini gameplay. Even chronicles is a masterpiece compared to this cr*p. It‘s nostalgia that made you love these games.

The water and how Lara can look wet in underworld is so impressive!

I hope after the second remaster set they will do legend, anniversary and underworld. That would mean all the classic games would be easily playable.

Those 3 games are still on Xbox systems. The 360 versions on backwards compatible on Xbox One and Series X/S. I still think those versions hold up.
