I have to disagree on the UCP. There are very few environments where that trash is effective. I'm active Army and I would much prefer the Multi-Cam pattern.
i agree im a Marine...the marpat woodlands and deserts are good for each environment they are designed for, but multi-cam is damn good if not better in both ,surprisingly,and u dont have to change,.... the russian surpat, british multi-terrain ,are basically the same as the multi-cam
Fuck the ACU pattern, that shit makes you an easy target, you look like a grey blob. Was hard as hell to conceal yourself in Iraq with that crap pattern. Somwhat laughable that the Army is looking at modifying it and still keeping it when Multicam is already available.

Finnish camouflage patterns were made in cooperation of Finnish Defence Forces and Finnish Forest Research Institute. So they work quite well :)

"SS-Leto" wasn't developed by Russia. It's called "Eichenlaubtarn" and was used the Germany in WW2. Russia just uses it for the "Gorka" suits now.

Also, you probably only studied german camo. Russia doesn't use gorkas THAT much, let alone in ss leto. This camo is getting more and more scarce. The color pallette is not the only difference.
I think that all agree that US woodland is the most used and popular by soldiers and not.
id have to say digital is the most popular. As well as all the digital patterns in the U.S. military are based off of CADPAT

I play airsoft, so i tested some camos myself and OD's are actualy very good.
Used in all theaters by every western country during WW2-vietnam war.
These camos do tend to work in every woodland/urban environment.
I think Flecktarn is one of the best ones at the moment...

The best camo depends on the Area of Operations. That said, there are several that would be good in my heavily forested area. Woodland, Flecktarn, and Digital Woodland would be my picks based on dominant colors in my AO. These would be my reccomendations for the Pacific Northwest and the Eastern Woodlands.

It's actually not. There is a quite lower humidity in Russia comparing with Spain for example. So you can bare low temperatures more easily here.

Tigerstripe was developed by the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) for its special forces. It was adopted by US special forces after US advisors in Vietnam liked it.

CADPAT have alot of cool and accurate variant like the CADPAT AR, CADPAT TW, CADPAT Arctic who's totaly new in the Canadian Armed Forces and the CADPAT Prototype J.

MARPAT Desert was also adopted by SEAL teams operating in the middle east in the late 2000s, mostly because it's a very effective pattern for low-light or dark ops, since the various tans and browns do a very good job of absorbing light, similar to the SAS's old Mountbatten Pink color scheme.
There is no best camo, IT all depends on which enviornment your working in
i've got to say that most of the digital made patterns are inspired by german flecktarn, which is indeed outstanding in european terrain. used and saw (or actually couldnt see) it for paintball and it worked really well : )
but for my opinion the tiger stripe is the coolest of all :D

What is this nonsense? What makes camo good completely depends on the exact environment its used on. You need to blend in.
Perfect example: SHTF scenario. If you have a whole bunch of tactical gear in your house and you load up, chances are when you go out into a city population you are going to stick out like a sore thumb. Its sometimes best to dress like a civilian, or worker.

Senator Armstrong, restoring America to her former glory as far as forest goes, from my experience (just a lot of airsoft) I agree. get it slightly washed and it will work well from norway to southern france, and it's the best around here (belgium)

Luke Han From what I heard its main purpose is to look clean even if there are some small smudges all around. Like the first khaki uniform was introduced in British colonial units somtaht you couldn't tell if it was dirty. They later realized it also makes you less visible but that was not its original purpose.

US wanted CADPAT, but Canada said no, so the US made MARPAT.

May as well throw a fact in. The digital camo's used by the US are actually designed with Canada under license, they are the same template as CADPAT just different colour and the MARPAT's have a small USMC globe every few centimeters.
Forgot US in 'OD Green', Marines will often use OD green in the battlefield.
Marine tankers, FORECON, and Raiders will use OD.

The USMC had Woodland camouflage well before 1981. It was being issued in 1977.
My favorite camo is the World War 1 German square camo. It was one of the first types of camo besides the geully suit.
One mistake there... Tiger stripes are not American and they’re never been. Tiger stripes were developed and used by the South Vietnamese. A few US units were allowed to wear Tiger Stripes, but they were never issued to US forces.

I’m partial to Woodland MARPAT, but regular woodland is cool too. Can’t forget about Flecktarn though, that one is epic.

Finnish one is spring camouflage used when there may be little snow, leaves have fallen from trees but it is too early for winter camo. So it is not primary camo. We also have summer and winter camos.

ARGENTINA... ehh nop! We use Multicam Marpat Woodland and one called Patagonia Desert, very similar than US Martpat Desert. The uniform in video looks similar Gendarmery´s Uniform
