- In this video, we discuss what Dropper's ideal strategy should be to ace the JEE Exam in the limited time period they have. The speaker in the video, Nishant Thakre, though he was not a dropper, had collected strategies from his dropper friends who are in IITs, NITs, and IITs. Nishant was AIR 633 in JEE Advanced 2020 and graduated from IIT Bombay recently in 2024.

Bhaiya, I'm a dropper and my marks in jee advanced mocks have got stagnant around 55-60 out of 360. What can I do to improve? I'm just solving question and revising through notes.

There are other two videos on the channel one on how to prep and one on study tips that can help you boost score. I suggest go through them they will help for sure. I can make a new video soon on the same topic when your test marks get stagnant. Also, if your score crosses 110-120 this will ensure you are getting a seat in one of the top 10 IITs

yes that is the minimum and must to do. you are ready if you do this. rest is more practice, analyising tests and revising properly.

Solve pyqs, if you are able to solve them then you are on right track. but ncert is sufficient for inorganic only.

Hlw bhaiya, can i solve only advanced problems in OC by ms chouhan after finishing my theory. I'm a dropper i don't have much time
ofcourse, thats the best book, i solved it and scored full in OC in JEE Advanced

I will complete my syallabus 11 12 syallabus till end of September with everything short notes and i used to solve 50 60 question ( only pyq usse pehley illustration of cengage )+ theory lecture 4 days in a week and baaki 3 days i do 100 question in a day on time management ( slots ) and after that short notes revision and Meri reading habit is not so good toh i used to read refrence book hc verma for physics and NCERT yaad krti hu and after September i will give solve all the previous year test papers as a mock test ( pehley 5 saal ke ) after that i will try to do 10 year if i can and i believe i will

I qualified my class 12 this year, then after mei NDA ki prep kr rha tha aur mera engineering aur jee ka socha nhi tha kyuki mujhe defence service join krna tha , par meri eyesight weak hai , and is baar checkup krwaya to limit se jyada aya 😢, and I would get disqualifed in medicals..
So seeing this ki mera selection nhi ho payega , bhai mujhe kuch samjh nhi aa rha tha kyuki maine na hi jee aur koi bhi state entrance exam diya tha aur isiliye mujhe koi acha engineering college bhi nhi mila tha ,😢
Isiliye I decided ki mai drop leke jee ki prep krunga taaki koi aachi college mil jaaye . Par tab bhaut late ho gaya tha ( august ke start mei pata chala ), aur mereko koi sahi se guide krne wala bhi nhi tha , isiliye pressure mei aake maine ek local engineering college mei admission kr liya..
Fir mere ek dost ne samjhya mujhe ki mujhe atleast drop leke ek baar jee ya wbjee ( I'm from wb) de dena chahiye taaki mujhe koi acha college mil jaye ,( I'm avg. in studies), usne mujhe bhaut motivate kiya ki mai acha student hu aur mera ye decision mujhe bhaari padega ,

Bhaiya mujhe bas aap itna bataiye ki kya abhi sept mei drop lena ek sahi decision rahega taaki mujhe atleast ek achi engineering college mil jaye , I know iit , nit ( is of dream now , and I never dreamt to go there as I never worked hard for it , so I know I'm not deserving ) nhi hoga and even getting good branches in nit and iiits are tougher ..
Is taking drop now in September a good decision, or should I continue with my local college, kyuki wo college itna reputed bhi nhi hai ( basically wo ek University hai , new open hua hai , I'm telling you the name - Swami Vivekananda University ... ... Bhaiya I belong to a low income family and mere parents itni fees nhi utha payenge private engineering colleges ki isiliye maine us university mei admission le liya , kyuki fee structure kaam hai, ) ...

I had the exact same situation like you (except i didn't cleared written and my eyesight is good)...i would suggest don't take Drop... because now it's too much late ... go for BSc if you're gonna give cds afcat in future or BCA is suitable enough too

It has been four years since I gave JEE. You should check the weightage on internet. As far as I remeber, it was one-two question in the whole paper. Questions from other chapters sometime involve the use of concept of trigonometry.

Bhaiya main dropper hu aur trigo ke nam par bahut kamm hi concepts aate hai like 5 percent bas. Main kaise iss chaoter ko drop year mein tackle karu ?
see you will get maximum one two question on trigo in exam as per trend but i think you should know the basics enough to solve questions from other chapters which involve concepts of trigo. focus on PYQ

yes, you can, this is the decision you have to take yourself. some people study smart, they know their limits, so they prepare mains oriented. otherwise if they prepare for both, they neither clear mains cut off for nits nor in advanced. So, it depends on you. you can do that, a lot of people do.

questions ki approach kaise develop kare. voh first step hit nhi hota lekin jaise hi solution dekhte hai aur toh vaha first step dekhne ek baad aage ka pura ho jata hai solve
dont look at solutions until you have attempted the question at least 3 times. solve questions today, if you are unable to solve some of them, attempt them again tomorror and then look at the solution.

Complete the PYQs and analyse your tests properly + one material. thats enough. you are already doing right in my opinion. just keep working hard.
