Thanks for the awesome video guide! Also, in case yall didn't already know, for the ZF pickpocketing part, you can also use sprint n evasion to run through and pop as many graves as you can, simply vanish, then you can pickpocket the zombies too!

Great info for sub rogues. I currently have a level 31 dwarf. I have been pick pocketing all mobs before ambush and my skill is 140 at 31. Also another great advantage of the dwarf is the skill to find treasure. This helps alot in finding all the lock boxes that people miss. ;)
The BEST strat by a landslide is once your high enough to pick thorium post in trade chat that you’ll pick locks for free and tips appreciated. I found this 100x quicker and easier due to the instance lock out
Important to note that the underwater potion isn't entirely necessary since there are a number of air bubble holes at that place in desolace. Definitely going to do pickpocketing to grind my last few levels thank for the tip. Waiting for lockboxes to spawn is a pain.
Just here to say that in Desolace I managed to get to 225 easily with almost 100% skill up rate so it is very much worth the visit. It took me about 3-4 hours to go from 13x to 227

Minor correction, but important, dont leveling lockpicking using the poison box. Becauseeeeee in classic when you delete quest items it deletes the questypoo. :)

I would love to do that - my perspective on this is, I sort of missed my window of opportunity where all of the decent players congregated on private servers, I was a tad too lazy back then and now everyone is spread out over various classic servers, so it may be kind of hard to get some good duels going, but in the future I will definitely cover this, perhaps in phase 2 when battlegrounds open, or sooner than that, if I can't get some good duels/fights going I'll make a guide just detailing what to do in each fight step by step for sure, but I think I'll find some good players when battlegrounds open. Seems unlikely I win in a duel until 60 when I have my engineering items and trinkets to help.

Here are my results. Did the pick pocket part at 48 in Zul Farak for 2 hours and 5 minutes stopped by the ingame stopwatch: - Looted a total of 49 boxes. - Raw pick pocket money was 20g 45s - Had a recipe of engineering in one box. - Went from 18X to 233. Highly recommend the gloves, that give you +5 lockpick, since all boxes turn green fairly early before the new category of boxes and grant a skill point far more uncommen in my experience the closer you get to the requiered level for the new boxes. I am combat skilled and dont have any talents for stealth. Had some bad luck in the beginning with resists but in time it averaged out to roughly needing vanish once per entire dungeon.
Always love the content. In order to reduce the amount of resists what level should I start doing ZF and BRD assuming I have 5 points in master of deception.
Currently 48 and they resist quite a bit. May be able to do 15-30 roughly. Vanish doesnt save me always as well. Put my gear in the bags. Sucks to run from the gravyard but at least to durability loss. Edit: I am btw combat skilled, so no fancy stealth bonuses. Edit 2: Upper number may be a little low for an average. Had a few runs with these numbers, but usually I walk the way to the basilisk boss and then to the witch doctor Zu. Though didnt get much further usually then due to resist.
good videos...however, I can't figure out how to get past 210/210. I go to the trainer (just finished getting 42 training) and that 210 number doesn't change. There is no quest I can see, there is no training...I'm missing something...

i may be a bit nooby when it comes to rogue, but i've got lvl 17, 85/85 from the H Ratchet quest from the boat... how can i raise my skill lvl to 150 in order to continue lockpicking the boxes? Does it automaticly go up as you get higher in level? ( i visited the rogue trainer but there's no skillup as in other professions)
*Every level you gain, your lockpicking threshold increases by 5.* If you're level 17 then you shouldn't be trying to go any further. You do the poison quest at level 20 which requires 70 skill minimum and if you're 85 already then perfect, you can level up using the Worn Junkboxes at 70 skill minimum too and you do that at around level 30 in SM Library as stated, so you're good for now.
I have seen gold farming guides for the epic mount, suggesting killing two bosses in BRD and pickpocketing up to the tavern. Is it legit or you suggest LBRS instead?
You could give that a go, there are other methods out there. I just pickpocket LBRS for the Major Healing Pots, Blinding Powder and easy money. But that's not my primary source for making my money at endgame.
Desolace is great to level lockpicking and you can gank horde doing quests- it's a long walk for them. great griefing reward. ZF was shit. only got 4 sturdy lockboxes in the whole place. I am going to have to find some place else for 175 - 225.

You have to literally use the pick lock ability, but I think they actually patched it because I remember it working when I made the video, or I'm just starting to lose my marbles. I need to go and test it out again myself to confirm. Go to Desolace instead for the time being, apologies.

I feel like itll give you levels when it decides, I went from using 7 lock boxes from Sm to get from 159 to 160 then all the sudden the next like 4 to 6 were instantly after unlocking one.
I already made two videos called 'Subtlety Levelling Explained' and 'Subtlety Levelling Explained Further' - I think it might be a bit too late for me to be doing a guide level by level because a strong majority have already started. It's possible I could do it in the future though if people really want it.
Lock picking is pointless to level until your running BRD. Not to mention you have tons of rogues who open boxes for free in IF so the incentive isn’t even there to waste your time
@@Handlemydangle Your server must have a really messed up economy. And for the record, if you spent an hour pickpocket farming, depending on where you are, you'd easily have over 100 powder. Some people like to earn it, some people like to buy it, each to their own I guess! Have fun!
Night elf rogue is love. I envy the undead for will of the forsaken and the bloody orcs for stun resistance but we become better from them through struggle and hard work. I hate when I see ppl say Alliance is for noobs and kids while the Horde has the best pvp racials.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't LP the one in STV Venture Co. Base Camp... doesn't even give me the option. I'm 167 LP but no mouseover changes.

You might need to be higher lvl. The lockpicking skill cap increases with your lvl all the way to 60

You forgot to get Thieves Tools - read the quest, if you're on horde side you had to speak to the robot next to the goblin.

The chance to skill up goes down the closer you get to 170. Took me like 60ish worn junkboxes to go from 165 to 170.

Legit just go ask your class trainer they tell you where to pick locks suitable for your level legit takes no time at all
If you watched the video you'd know why I'm recommending instance pickpocketing. But yes you can do that.

I already made two videos called 'Subtlety Levelling Explained' and 'Subtlety Levelling Explained Further' - I think it might be a bit too late for me to be doing a guide level by level because a strong majority have already started. It's possible I could do it in the future though if people really want it.

Lock picking is pointless to level until your running BRD. Not to mention you have tons of rogues who open boxes for free in IF so the incentive isn’t even there to waste your time

Blinding powder cost 1 gold for 60 in the AH. So no I don’t spend an hour picking pockets to get 3 powder lol
@@Handlemydangle Your server must have a really messed up economy. And for the record, if you spent an hour pickpocket farming, depending on where you are, you'd easily have over 100 powder. Some people like to earn it, some people like to buy it, each to their own I guess! Have fun!

Night elf rogue is love. I envy the undead for will of the forsaken and the bloody orcs for stun resistance but we become better from them through struggle and hard work. I hate when I see ppl say Alliance is for noobs and kids while the Horde has the best pvp racials.
