Although realistically, it's not a whole lot different from any other shonen anime energy powers. It's just how they explain it and detail it that makes it interesting.
@TKDragon75 Not too many power systems have contingency powers or commitment based powers. The best parts about nen for me are how you don't have to be physically strong or have huge pools of aura. You just need to be clever.
Nen is the best power system. The way you could endlessly speculate about a characters power set and the way you could even make up your own and try to guess what Nen affinity you are. Stuff like that is invaluable. Like yeah, I can make up my own Devil fruit but Nen feels cooler because I can explain in detail how all the powers work.
Zushi is so adorable "I wanted my book and my juice!". Gotta love the fakeout too, a classic. Glad to see you're at the point where they're explaining Nen, a very cool system. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this. The *TLDR* _basics_ are: _hold in_ energy, _surge_ energy, _focus_ energy and _project_ energy(with intent). Think if Dragon Ball ever thought about how Ki might mechanically work and how that would effect Ki battles.
You'd think Hisoka would be busy with his whole killing everyone strong to follow these children around just to taunt them in a hallway. Hisoka should just become a Nen Teacher and train kids to fight... I'm sure that wouldn't go wrong.
@@ragg232 Yeah, he wouldn't be able to hold himself back. He almost killed Gon, Kurapika and Leorio during the Hunter Exam. No way he could keep it in his pants while training potential fighting geniuses.
Bleach's energy system has a cool twist, because most of the fighters are made of energy, so even causing basic damage is about subjugating or removing your opponents energy, that's why killing intent can directly enter and effect others' bodies.
Yeah don't worry about the details here. You've watched RWBY and plenty of other shonen animes, the aura basics isn't doing anything unusual, just that they're naming each specific principle and explaining them. Kinda like explaining how to take a shot in basketball but breaking it down into each movement.
Don't let the explination of Nen get to you Alicia. It's tough to get a grip on how it works but it's fascinating when you get the basis of how it works
Basic nen is actually a lot simpler in reality than it is when put into words. simply put: Everyone has life energy, some people have more. The people who have more can learn how to control it, attack with it (ren/Ko depending on how much you're using), use it to see others' life energy and conceal your own life energy. The complicated part comes with the Hatsus and the types of nen users
Dang wing must’ve had something against that book. Bro could’ve easily just used the blank page or title page that’s at the beginning of books but nah, he had to ruin it.
@@Angrenost02 bro... hes an antagonist, not to mention he helps out the main cast in so many god damn ways that its not even funny... hes a battle crazed maniac sure, ill give you that, but hes definitely not a villain... a villain is something alot more concrete than an antagonist

If you think of Hunter X Hunter as a video game it makes more sense. Hisoka is a scripted event and you need to grind before he lets you pass and continue the story.

Zushi out here like, "Master, that was the wall to _my_ room. Why do you keep doing this to me?"
Nen is probably my favorite power system because it gets very well explained. It's a very cool system with infinite potential.

As a magic/power system enjoyer, Nen is the best power system in all of fiction.
@@lurkingposter you might enjoy playing Ars Magica, it has a kind of similar structure more built around medieval wizardry and is very versatile.

I love how togashi made an arc just for explaining his power system.
And then kept expanding on it and going more in depth with each successive arc.

Two, really, since Greed Island expands on it further.

I don’t think he’s that skilled of a teacher and he probably wouldn’t be remotely interested in doing that. He plays with toys, he doesn’t make them.

It is now time to learn the second coolest power system in all of anime
What’s the first in your opinion

Damn. Hisoka just can’t stay away from Gon! 😅😅
Yup, Hisoka probably wins the record for most oddly helpful villain to the main characters.

Which never stops being the case.
I'm after here his technically. You know the series plays with his position until... Later
i wouldnt exactly classify him as a villain tbh... antagonist sure, but not villain...
