Benny Lockhart 100% agree! :) 80s and early 90s had the best music, and like you said even the best out of the bad bunch bands back then are still 10 times better than any of the bands today.
Wonder why this artist didn't make it to the big time, like King's Ex, Pretty Maids, Metal Church, Shark Island, and others featured on Dee Snider's House of Hair. I don't recall him playing Melidian though. Almost Famous and Love in Reverse are good motion pictures showcasing the difficulty getting recognized in the music industry even when promotion seems promising, along with a record label with a signed contract.
